Hm, to me it looks like the light is actually in front of his leg, which would mean he's fairly solid. Hard to tell, though.

Well, I guess they interpreted wrong.
Anyway, a few inconsistencies are all right in fun promotional art like this. I don't know if it's supposed to be accepted as canonical. (Won't stop me from accepting it as such, though!)
Though I have to say, I know quite a few Diego/Mia nonbelievers... they're gonna have a hard time arguing with this one.

I think this one's just symbolism for the Tanabata anyway. Miego is meeting, so yippee. Who better to represent Tanabata than two lost lovers??
I don't necessarily think they'd bring back Miego in GS5 (maybe Godot, but that's not very likely, but it would be cool if he were to be a defendant or a witness but that's just me trying to overdo things), but perhaps it's for something else that's supa secret. They did it for Edgeworth... : )

Tanabata epsiode
From long before, I had been thinking of wanting to draw Godot and Miss Mia. 7th of July. A night when the separated pair can meet. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanabata) A chance to draw this pair lies in no other time but this! The relationship they share is just passing each other, so, surely a miraculous night like this is alright? Before, in another illustration, I tried to make Miss Mia's legs see-through and received rejection, but it could be fulfiled this time. Godot is my favourite character. At last, I could let him appear/make his entrance. As I thought, it's enjoyable to draw a character one likes. I wanted to try returning to the present from the past up to the previous issue, and damn, the little bits of material(/content/ideas etc) were easily inserted hm?~! There's a lot included too this time, so please try finding if you like. (No further explanation this time? Iwamoto-sensei is such a tease. v_v) The words on the tanzaku can be read hm? I might have drawn it too small, riding on the mood... (Tanzaku = the paper hanging on the bamboo. Wishes are written on them. Does OP see any decipherable words? Perhaps a bigger scan please if you do~? :D) Next round is August hm? Who should I make appear?... It's about time I want to have the support characters take a spot too. Please anticipate.
So the chars' WISHES are written in the pic! I wish we could read them...
