I don't very remember when Phoenix lost his attorney badge, so Capcom wont made GS5 based on 7 years gap, because they won't be any attorney as main character. Agreed with you, if relationship made in 7 years gap and not told in GS4, and in GS5 they tell it, that will be wonderful
if GS5 is about Apollo. Is there any possibilities Phoenix become lawyer and main character once again? (truly I hope GS5 is about Wright again

Shortly after T&T Iris/Maya realise that the are in love with Phoenix (in Iris's case realises she STILL is) and then she tells him this but Phoenix, being Phoenix gets all flustered and isn't sure of his feelings and so Iris/Maya decide to leave him while he figures out his feelings?

THEN, aventually for GS5 Iris/Maya come back and Phoenix is sure of his feelings for them, resulting in the getting together as more than friends.
Ps-I mean by Maya/Iris that you can swap them around depending on which pairing you support.
AND then it all makes sense to bring in a Phoenix/Maya or Iris.
Yes i know it's a dumb theory but you never know right?
Personaly i think that the Maya version works alot better but this is because i ship Phoenix/Maya and worte a fanfiction where this all happened.
I really would love it if Maya/Phoenix would be at least hinted at for GS5 but won't get particulary mad if it's Phoenix/Iris or anyone else.
Phoenix staying single would annoy me though, he doesn't seem like the type to stay single for THAT long. The ladies just wouldn't know what they were missing!

*shot, speared, brick'd, skewered*Eh, I honestly don't care that much. I just like Nick/Iris pairing. And while I would be happy if Capcom presented that (which they probably won't...), I'm not going to throw a complete hissy fit if they pair him with a) no one or b) someone else.

i really hope that

fans, but for the aa games ( more than a year i think) phoenix and Maya worked together closely, if something was there for them, i think it would have happened during the aa trilogy. Iris already has relationship history with phoenix, all they have to do to bring iris back is say that iris couldnt get in contact with phoenix for some reason, and never knew where to find him, but than make her appear in one of the cases, where her and pheonix meet and reconnect

Hey, if Phoenix 'leaves' to be with Maya, that's some vague resolution/reconciliation for his character between arcs and frees up the game spotlight to Apollo. It doesn't even have to be implied as specifically romantic.

It is my strongly held viewpoint that if Phoenix fell in love, married, had 20 children with, and died in the arms of another character, most shippers would continue shipping.
But I do suppose some would rage. Not for me to say.
Anyways, I think we should finally move away from Ol' Nicky Boy and have a game about Apollo for once.
If they do have Nick pair up, I hope they keep it ambigous. Like, "I met someone, Trucy! She has dark hair! I've known her for a few years now..." and there'd be no real closure or face to face meeting. But eh. I wouldn't care if Phoenix got married onscreen.

Though, in all honesty, I don't think they'll ever officially pair him off with someone - they don't want to risk alienating ANY shippers. And after what I've seen happen in other fandoms when pairings WERE cemented, I can completely understand. Although, B.M. does have a point about the likelihood of them continuing to ship even after something like that. I've seen THAT happen too...

/ as it would definitely make the most sense. In all three games of his trilogy, Phoenix was there for her. In the first one, he defended her when no-one else would, on only his second trial. He defended her again in JFA when it seemed obvious that she was the murderer, and in the final case of JFA, defended a guilty man to save her, before accusing him with the help of . Then, in T&T, he goes so far as to run across a forty-foot high burning bridge above a raging river known to be unforgiving to victims for her almost falling to his own death. That, and men don't play a big part in the Fey family, so the fact that Maya is close with Phoenix can be taken as a hint that she also has feelings for him, and obviously her sister would support it. Just makes me wonder what'd happen if franziska had given him the missing evidence at the end of JFA. And being the new Master of Kurain could explain why she wasn't mentioned by Phoenix. After all, the previous masters didn't have very good luck, and Nick wouldn't want Maya to get hurt. Of course, this could all be hinted at in one case, possibly Phoenix teaching Apollo before his moment of glory in the final trial.

But yeah, Phoenix's love life really shouldn't play any role in the game beyond the humour factor I mentioned above. Apollo and Trucy need to take the focus now and Apollo already has a potential girlfriend. I thought the ending of T&T was pretty clear anyway:
And I really don't think the hate for Thalassa is justified. Sure, they only get the one scene together in AJ but that doesn't mean it couldn't work. It's all potential right now and that scene is already a blatent sequel hook as it is.

and a lot of people thought thought there was more evidence that pointed to PxE as well
that is how the series works; there is never going to be one canon pairing for phoenix
