I also like Phoenix (he'd maybe be my second), Mia, Godot, Klavier, Maggey, Adrian, Larry, Trucy, Maya... Redd White is also really funny. XD

I'll say this, the case 1-4, which was of course largely revolving around Edgeworth, is really what made the series and made the first game a success enough to form a trilogy. However, the success of that case and its emotive impact hinged on not only Edgeworth but also Phoenix, Maya and the compelling writing.

So, my choice is unoriginal and is probably getting tiresome to those who like other characters besides him. But to me, he is such a fasinating individual... I loved to see him grow and learn as the games progressed. Not to mention Bratworth made me almost cream my pants. (He is sooo good looking. srsly.)

God, he was a great villian. Freakin' loved going up against him in court with his whole "you-are-a-useless-insect-unworthy-of-even-the-faintest-hint-of-my-attention-and-I-will-crush-you-underfoot" act Another great villian: funny, charismatic, and so darn creepy when he stared at you for ten seconds straight as though he was going to eat your soul Don't worry Larry, no matter how many of your girlfriends dump you, I'll always be here for you.
So tragic, but so interesting as a character. She freaked me out every time I went to Tender Lender, but I felt so bad for her in the end.

And I mean the hobo. Some would say that Capcom(or whoever was responsible) has screwed up Phoenix. I think that his sudden change made him much more interesting than before. I do still like the normal one, normal phoenix is funnier^^2.

Larry is just one of my favorite characters!! He's so funny and awesome. he might be an idiot but he has a good heart :) He's so awesome!! She reminds me a lot of myself She's really sweet and cool!!! I think he's really hot...i don't know, there is something really attractive about him. he's just so suave and stuff...idk...but ill always love phoenix. he's my absolute favorite! She's totally cool, her and her whip are awesome! i find her just really awesome in general! Mia is just very cool. I see her as a role model of how she's strong and knowledgeable. 
of course we all have to love our clueless judge :)
