Let's see here... I'm kind of weird, in that I'll assign multiple songs to couples, based on various points in time or even fics I've written about them.

:phoenix: / :ayame: - I have a few here. Walking After You by the Foo Fighters reminds me of Phoenix's end, for some reason. And for Iris after it ends, I have a couple; Something's Always Wrong by Toad the Wet Sprocket was what I listened to when I wrote a fic about her, and I can see Just a Dream by Delerium working too.

:javado: / :youngmia: - I Will Not Take These Things For Granted by Toad the Wet Sprocket is another "listened to it while I was writing" song, for the early part of their relationship after 3-4. After her death, well... I can see either Fallen or Innocente, both by Delerium, working.

And, while I'm not normally into crack pairings, I really really have to do this...

Actually, I think "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls fits :phoenix: / :ayame: to a T. (from Iris' point of view)

Not exactly a love song, but if fits.

Ehh- I don't actually ship this pairing, but I suddenly love this song for them...

It doesn't hurt that one of the verses somewhat lets me indulge my actual pairing tastes. XD The overall cheerful, cheekiness in every aspect of the song makes me really think of this pairing, though...

A lullaby for you - JYONGRI. A lovely song for the wounded soul and fitting if you listen to the words.

Don't Let Go - Bryan Adams and Sarah McLachlan. The slow beat compliments the words very well.

Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper. Sort of remind me of the thoughts of what Iris and Phoenix had during their separation.

Missing You - John Waite. More about Phoenix thinking about Iris here.

2 Become 1 - Spice Girls. Yeah, I know but still.

Angel of Mine - Monica. Can't find the words for this.

Wonderful Life - Tina Cousins. If you can find the ballad version, it does fit these two.

Sorta sappy, but it fits. Strong female voice that is surprised/a bit unsettled that she's completely fallen for somebody.

I've always loved this song, for the pure innocence and squee and WAFF factor. It's a song about falling in love unexpectedly. I always thought this was more for Iris' POV, as it was a little more than 'inconvenient' for Iris to fall in love with Phoenix in the first place.

And when you think about the lyrics, it's kind of sad that Iris knows she can't enjoy this love forever... (D: her ice cream melts~)
