Has anyone else seen this movie?

"Changeling" is the latest Clint Eastwood movie, starring Angelina Jolie. It's a heavy and pretty depressing movie, but everything about it is incredible.

It's a true story that takes place in 1920's Los Angeles. A woman's son is missing, and the police bring back the wrong boy. It escalates from there, severe police corruption and other elements being added to the mix.

They kept to the period perfectly and, according to my mom, Angelina Jolie acted the persona of a 1920's woman very well. Heck, the acting from EVERYONE (even the children at a few points) was great. It seemed real. I swear this movie is going to get nominated for Academy Awards.

Keep in mind that it's rated R for a reason.
This movie includes upsetting and frightening moments, some language, strong material discussed including prostitution, a graphic execution scene, electroshock therapy...
Spoiler:
Not to mention an axe murder where the murderer is covered with splattered blood.

If you don't mind all of that and are willing to see a very serious, but well done, movie, then I really recommend this one.

I saw this! I thought it was a really interesting and well done movie.

And delving into the bizarre, illogical reasoning behind the corrupt LAPD's actions was really fascinating. The fact that the whole thing happened just because one Captain refused to admit he made a mistake.

Oooh... that execution scene though... that was chilling. *shivers*

But yeah, the acting was great, and the story was excellent. Seems Clint Eastwood directed movies are much better without Clint Eastwood in them.

I'm lookin' at you Million Dollar Baby. :edgeworth:

I'm looking forward to checking this one out, clint's a great director. The only thing is most of his movies tend to be dark but very well done. Not family-popcorn time stuff but brilliant :P
