I was wondering, what kind of influence does the PW games have on your life...I mean, I am going to be a lawyer when I grow up because of the inpact they had on me...do you feel the same or is this just a fun game to you?

i kinda know what your sayin

it definitely made me consider being a lawyer but the fact is I couldn't deal with the idea of protecting a guilty person or condeming a innocent

but adrian andrews had a impact on me, her co-dependance and other aspects of her mental health helped me solidify that I wanted to be a psychiatrist

I've thought I wanted to be a prosecutor before AA... But it made me see how similar PW characters are to people I know.

It made me realize the importance of truth above all else.

I considered wanting to be a lawyer, but that's just not my true calling.

Just keep in mind that the legal systems are vastly different (also it depends on which sort of court you're in). I wanted to be a lawyer before learning about Phoenix Wright, but interning at a law firm for 3 summers straight and getting to know the attorneys well made me change my mind...

I guess one of the things that turned me off was the sheer amount of paperwork and overtime... on the other hand, my uncle (who started his own law firm) is now a millionaire :s... with no time to himself :D.

After I played Phoenix Wright, I began looking back to see if law can be interesting to me at all, but in the end I decided I would rather apply to become a diplomat abroad :D... so that's what I'm working towards now.

Mostly AA related sketches- I've only had my tablet and photoshop for about 2 weeks now, so I still feel like I'm not very good... but I try to be funny when I can :D

Same here. I've even taken to keeping receipts, ticket stubs, and such, just incase I need to prove I was there.

Also, I've wanted to be an attorney for a good 10 years now, ever since 2nd grade, and AA is just kinda diversion. Since it's not very accurate, it's not had an impact on my career choice, but it's still a great game!

I already wanted to be a prosecutor. The vast number of hooligans and guilty people in my school always get away with whatever they do. I don't want them to think that they can get away with that in the real world-and if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself.
Ace Attorney never influenced that. Rather, I think that brought me to Ace Attorney.
But now I have an overwhelming need to prove my statement when I disagree with someone.

I'm 99% positive that I would make a terrible lawyer. So I never really was inclined to become one, even seeing how awesome the games are and all.

It has influenced me in small ways though. Hearing the words "Objection," "Hold it!", and "Take that!" always bring my mind to PW. And I can't think about coffee anymore without thinking of Godot. Stepladders and ladders make me giggle; and like others before me have said, I always try to be aware of my surroundings in case I witness something XD

There are probably countless other things.

I may have said this in another topic, but because I'm so obsessed with PW, whenever anyone says "Objection!" everyone turns and looks at me because that's what it reminds them of! xD

I'm like this. Ace Attorney made me want to become a lawyer, but I'd probably try to pick fights with the prosecutor. I don't know what to do now. :-(

I'd like to be qualified as both a defense and prosecuting attorney. I could choose a case, and if I thought it was fishy I could prosecute. If not, defense. :-P

Ever since I was young my mom used to tell me how I should be a lawyer, since she said I am good at making excuses and answering back and making statements and arguments. I don't get the connection though.

Anyway, I've always considered being a lawyer after 4 years or so maybe I'll take it as a course for college. (that's how It works in my country) But after playing PW, I'M SURE I WANT TO TAKE LAW AS A COURSE. no matter how long it takes! Well, that is, If i pass the entrance exams. :edgy:

The bad thing in our country is that there are no "defense" and "prosecution" I think. I'm not that sure.

Am I the only one who never considered becoming a lawyer even after playing all the games? xD

It has taught me the importance of proving your claims. If there's no proof, it isn't a substantial claim.

^^After playing the games, I now want to say this to someone in a flame war!

"How do you know I don't have a life? You are someone who lives in a completely different country. If you think you can say that and back it up with facts, then YOU don't have a life, stalker."

Well, I can't say Phoenix Wright didn't change my life. It affect it a lot.
I'm still thinking about being a lawyer, even though medicine is my fav right now. In the start I said:" I'll be Phoenix Wright!" but then, I thought to myself:" The law in real life is not even smiliar to the laws in Phoenix, not in my country, so leave it."

But I gotta admit, I really love the game, I beacame addicted to Phoenix. I tell all my anime-watchers friend about it, and by mistake I told it to my Best friend.
I'm going to cosplay to Maya, and I always imagine that I will have a BF who plays it and we will do a pair- he's Phoenix, and I'm Maya.

But then reality slapped me in unspeakable places when I saw THIS THREAD

Now, every time I point at something, I have an intolerable urge to yell :holdit: or :objection:, my urge to bleach my hair white has tripled, I can't drink coffee without The Fragrance of Dark Coffee playing in my head, every time I air guitar, I see Klavier, I've mastered every male character's objection (Save Edgey), and I've proven I have chords of titanium (Take that, Polly).

However, it has not made me reconsider wanting to join the Navy and become an aerospace engineer.

Heh, I'll admit I did at one point think that going into law as a career wouldn't be too bad if it was like this.
But then I realised that it was nothing like in the games when reading the instruction booklets....

However, the games have made me act as if I'm cross-examining people. I question their choice of words, ask for proof of what they say, even when it's a harmless comment they've made.
It really annoys people...
