Edgeworth is shown to be a Steel Samurai fan in many comics but I think it fits the name Mitsurugi.
Did Edgeworth's real dad have money? I'm not sure he had loads but had enough, he did dress Edgey in fancyish clothes though saying that he also ended up in the same school as Hairy Butts, erm, Larry.
I'd think Phoenix has little money because, as mentioned before, he does not work too much and keeps an office rented under his name regardless of this plus I doubt Maya earns money on the side after her waitress stint, heck I bet if he had a credit card she would mail order all sorts of rubbish from websites and TV.
