Howl yawned and slightly stretched out, not even realising he had fallen asleep. He saw new faces but didnt care to aquaint them. That is, until he saw a familiar retired pilot. He carefully watched his every move, as if he was hunting him. Silently he stood up and walked to Aaron. "Been ages since I last saw you," Howl glared directly at him, his voice strict.

Katrina sat quietly. She felt nervous around the skilled Prosecutors. Payne seemed a little haughty, but she didn't think too much of that. She nodded when Sheila spoke to her. But, in the end, she decided not to speak unless spoken to.

Howl glared through the corner of his eye at Katrina. She seemed too quite for his taste, so he tried to rattle her cage. "Kinda silent to be playin with big wolves like us." He taunted while smirking. "Whats a quiet type like you doin' here?"

She jumped a bit. "W-well! I'm taking my Pre-Law studies at Borough Tech. I've been interested in becoming a prosecutor, Mr. Edgeworth visited the school one day and lectured the class on prosecuting. I was very curious, he said I asked all the right questions, and he was caught by the few curveballs I had. So he asked if I would be interested in doing an internship here. Then coming on as a Prosecution Aide during my post-graduate law classes. Then, when I graduate law school, I'll be signed on as a full-time prosecutor!" She took a breath. The little speech unwinding her quite a bit.

"Insecure... And loose-mouthed," Howl slowly treaded around where Katrina sat. "Quiet, and waits for others to speak before her... I'd give you 3 minutes before you'd snap in court." Howl adjusted his eyepatch, slightly entertained from his analysis. "Unless... You'd care to object," He said, as he folded his arms across his chest, standing over her, glaring with his head raised.

Howl laughed at her response. "Wrong? You just broke under pressure by telling me that you're nervous. If the defense of your case had broke that out of you as quick and easy as I did, they would use that to their advantage and sweep the floor with you! You just revealed a weakness!" Howl kept his glare affixed to her. "A rookie like you doesn't belong here..."

Katrina cringed. He was tough on her, if she let him defeat her now, she knew he would likely never forgive her. She held his glare, "Then what should I do, to better myself?" She asked, showing as little emotion as she could manage

Katrina stood. She paused. ...Poker? she thought, Now THAT I can do..., although it was against school rules, and the law. She would commonly play games of poker with Percei and his friends. As a result, she'd been able to build herself a pretty good poker face. She'd gotten a reputation on campus for being basically expressionless. She yawned first, finding this a way to rid her of her facial expression, then nullifed the emotion to her eyes and mouth, she stared directly into the eyes of Prosecutor O'Donnell. She treated it like a game of poker, she may have had a terrible hand, but none of them need know that.

Unchanging her emotion, she answered with a bit of an edge to her voice "Of course I can sir, playing poker for a long time helps. You just have to be convincing when you bluff, something I'm sure I can accomplish. I've learned from Mr. Edgeworth to always have a back up plan, so should your bluff be called, you can revert to the safer but less helpful plan B."

Howl chaffed to James. "What can I say? She's Fresh meat in a Wolf's den." He faced back to Katrina. "Ok, here's the situation: Your client is being charged with breaking and entering, intentional arson, and murder. I've the upper hand with a box of matches that are from a hotel that your client had just returned from that week, and multiple reports of finger prints among the rubble of the building that match your client. Your client has given up and is no longer willing to testify. The Judge will not allow any more testimony, nor admission of evidence. The Judge is about ready to declare your Client Guilty. Your Task? Simple; prove him innocent." Howl crossed his arms.

"Him being your mentor is the best you'll get," Sheila commented, smiling. Why do I get the feeling that the so-called "battle of wits" was heavily drawn from a personal experience? Appearance: Slightly short than average height, but with an extremely muscular build. His brown hair is unkept and his face is usually covered with stubble. It usually gives him a "rugged" rather then a "lazy" look. Around the office he's usually wearing his red and white Miskatonic University letterman's jacket he got on the fencing team with a white shirt and blue jeans, but when in court he wears a black suit with a red tie.
Bio:Simon was born in the Bronx. With the crime riddled streets, he felt a need to defend himself, and took up fencing with his nerdy older brother. Eventually his brother was murdered, so he decided to become a prosecutor, and is cutterntly attempting to get a PhD from Miskatonic University, but in his off time has an internship at the prosecutor's office.

Howl turned around and lightly tapped Katrina on the forehead with his thumb. He looked at her with a threatening grin. "We'll just see how long you last... walking in my shoes." He pulled out a small device from his pocket. "Remember when I said that 'faults are going to be cost-worthy and punishable'? I might have forgotten to add, that they'll be painful as well..."

"I figure that if your gonna let me mentor you... you should learn like I did." Howl dropped his grin and kept walking. "Through electrical impulses. That light tap on your forehead was a simple way to plant a receiver to you." Howl walked into the evidence room. "From now on... I would recommend you watch what you say, when you say it, and to know the facts behind it. Otherwise..." He swung the small device on his finger. "well, let's just say it'll be an electrifying experience." Howl laughed and rummaged through the cabinet marked 'XW-3'.

Katrina chuclked nervously. His reasoning was sound, and he, well, she HOPED, he would keep them at a low enough voltage not to cause serious damage... She then saw him rummaging through an evidence box. A cold case. Her interest was piqued, and she moved closer to see what he was getting.

Howl looked through the cabinet. He pulled out a small box of matches, but immediately threw them back in and slammed the cabinet shut when he saw Katrina trying to get a close look. "What the hell do you think you're doing? Intruding on my business?" He gave her a heavy glare, hoping she'd back off of him.

Howl pulled his glare to the cabinet, shuffled around the files keeping the view to a minimum, pulled a file out with a red tag on it, and locked the cabinet back. He glared over her. "Go. I'll follow you out... make sure you don't 'intrude' behind me." Howl was strict in his words; showing that he was more of ordering than offering.
