Checking the site again, it seems in Australia that it will be $58.95 rather than the original price.

I preordered this on Barnes & Noble. It looks like an awesome book! Got it for a great price too (around $28 USD)

Yay. I've become something of a video game art collector, but never actually had any real art books. And the fact it appears to be coming to a time near my birthday...it'll be good.
And even better, it looks to be coming to Australia. About time we got something. People might be confused when they see these characters they don't when when the third game hasn't been released.
I'm still bitter about that, why didn't they release it? And yes, I already got a copy. It took going halfway around the world, but I got it.

It might just be, JapaneseGIRL.
Not a bad cover.

Anyways, it seems that Australia's release date has been pushed back to November. :sadshoe: Oh well, at least we're getting it. Maybe for Christmas?

Didn't they use a completely different cover for the Japanese version? I wonder why the change.

TheBaronandEma, I changed the front post with the new information. (Not that anyone'll check it, but just in case)

I don't like this cover ;__;
In fact, I don't like the artwork they used for this cover... let's hope it's not the real one, and just a 'fake' the website created for 'illustration purposes'. If they're going to use an artwork from the games for the cover, they'd better use the one from GS3 (the one you can find on the soundtrack CD), in my opinion of course.

And I agree with SaraVera... why did they change the cover in the first place ? (if they really did...)

I'll support anything Ace Attorney here if it means more stuff will be brought over from Japan. I hope that they bring over the fanbooks next. They are more text heavy and I think have those funny interviews with Maya. I've always wanted to know what those say.

Seconded. Any of the fanbooks. I even have them, though I can't actually read them. They seem to have some semi-canon stories about the chars in dialogue form, too.

The Art of GS in Japan had an AJ cover for the box, since GS4 was just released and was being promoted. Guess it's being sold on Phoenix's bandwagon here. Phoenix's book has a good enough cover though...

Where are you?

Apparently NZ can't even supply an estimate price till America release it cause we don't get direct sales... I can see it sky rocketing over $100 NZD >.> Oh well, atleast I don't have to pay double price for shipping from America...

Well im in latin america (south america xD) a country called Venezuela, we do get all the games but overpriced (lots of stuff about the exchange of dollar and my currency made that happen), well the hard thing is get those kinds of extra stuff to get here xD besides expensive to send and hard to find someone to send it here, i dont wanna risk sending it and maybe it could get lost or "lost" if u know what i mean xD, but seriously, the biggest problem is to get the dollars to pay it (because we have the internet official dollars exchange limited, like we can only use 400 dollars with a credit card, with the exchange of our currency cheap, on internet transactions in a year) and i know it sounds all crazy and i think we are the only country that have limited official dollar exchange (there is a good reason for that but im not going to get deeper here) -.-, well there is the "black market" dollar but is a lot more expensive (this is what makes games expensive here). My only solution is to find a friend/family to goes to USA and ask him/her to bring it to me xD, i must try >8O :zenitora:

Those who own the Japanese set would recognize that the cover of this book was designed with the original slipcase in mind, except replacing the Apollo Justice crew with some JFA art. The picture on the English-language release...isn't that the same picture that was on the cover of The Miles Edgeworth Files (official casebook vol. 2)? It's JFA art, I believe.

Yeah, that would have made a good cover in itself. It's a lot more indicative of the "connectedness" of the AA series and its characters. And I do love Pearl's pretzel hair sticking up from under the bench. ^^

The cover image could be better, but it's still okay.
Anyway, the actual book is great! The look is very clean, very nice.
And brownie points for using Ema as an example. And good info!

I decided to visit this thread again to see if any new AoGS information surfaced and any other generally fresh news. Aside from my posts facing deletion (sorry if I was being a nuisance, mods?), JapaneseGIRL's post with official bits from Udon has finally slapped me out of denial; the very books I spent nearly seventy dollars on will be released in English for $26.99 if you're a B&N member. I need to find a wall to hit my head against...

Thank you, everyone, for finding out all the release/price nitty-gritty! I'll get over myself in a while. XD

Well, that's half a month after my birthday, so if I pre-order with my birthday money...

On the other hand, if I can find the Japanese version for cheaper at an upcoming anime convention, I would just get it then. I can read some Japanese, and for the stuff I can't, that's what kanji dictionaries are for.

How on earth would a Kanji dictionary work? :zaviaar: Does it work based on the symbols or some other obscure method? Cause Kanji is character combos, right?

The one I have for the DS is great. You can draw the kanji and the DS brings it up. It tells you the meanings and the pronunciations, as well as possible kanji combinations and their meanings.

Ok now, that really is the very same artbook as the japanese one... but in English of course, and with a cover that sucks really bad compared to the Japanese one. So I don't think I'll get this one... perhaps through 'illegal' means or something, but since I already got the Japanese one, it's not like I would be stabbing Capcom in the back or something :garyuu:

Really, I just can't understand why they changed the cover... :yuusaku:

I have a job.
In the post that you just quoted you'll notice I said $48, not $40. That would be the Canadian price, assuming I can even find it in this country. I do not consider that cheap for a book.

So then you most likely play the GS games in Japanese, crouton? Wish I had that kind of skill. :kyouya: What program for a kanji dictionary is it that you use?

That's past hard core. I didn't think there was more involved than two DS's with separate cartridges, but I think I'll just wait until the English version is released. Did you buy the Limited Edition, crouton?
