Yes, but some parts of the movie drag on longer than they should.
Still, you should go see it.

Thought the movie was great, though it did feel like some of the scenes dragged on.
Although at the same time, it felt like this whole movie was just one great buildup, just to explode with the epic finale. Pitt was great though.
I could see why there was some controversy though. But hell, I come from a Jewish family, including a grandfather who's a Holocaust survivor, and this movie didn't offend me one bit. Now whether my parents should go see this movie on not, I'm debating on. Especially since they hated District 9 :/

That they can.
But it isn't that what was controversial. It's that critics found this movie "historically inaccurate" and found Tarantino's portrayal of Jews as vicious killing machines, to the point that they're just as violent and hideous as the Nazis, to be disturbing. :|
What people don't realize is, this was never supposed to be a movie about a true historical portrayal of the Holocaust. It's supposed to be a fun, action/drama-filled war movie about Jews kicking Nazi ass. It's a fantasy, or like an alternate reality based on a real historical setting. If the audience wanted a movie about historical accuracy, then they should just stick to Schindler's List.
And even that movie isn't very accurate.
TL;DR : lolcritics are too sensitive herp derp
