So yeah, Pro Wrestling. Steroid-using men who try to pass off them beating the shit out of each other for 1 hour by giving it a storyline. TNA is pretty good, though I tend to watch WWE more, especially ECW. Not a big fan of Ring of Honor, though- but to each his own.

Favorite wrestlers:
Chris Benoit
The Rock
CM Punk
Edge
Christian
Stone Cold
Shawn Michaels
Ric Flair

Used to watch WWE but then I turned 12.

Basically lost interest thanks to John Cena.

Allow me to write a short rant.

Building muscle bulk does not allow for combat proficiency. The conceited idiots that train endlessly on passive machines that don't allow for development of endurance or explosive power are hopelessly outmatched when set against combatants that actually can fight. All they are good for is grappling you and then performing some visually "gruesome" move that "WOWS" the audience and forces his opponent to pretend to be injured. It is pathetic how the guttural victor, who is usually so because of scripters who would probably do infinitely better in the ring than the actual combatants, made it so, are unaware of their status manipulated sycophants who are the massive yet unintelligents hominoids must adhere to it. That having been said, it is possible to know the outcome of a match before it even commences. I think this says a lot about Pro wrestling, and just how "Pro" it actually is.

No, and I bet anyone who posts on this thread is capable of dodging multiple attacks from a "Pro" wrestler, kicking him in the crotch, and bringing his head down as if in penitence.

VeryHappyTaffy: Nobody fuckin' cares. Get out of here. We know this shit is fake, think we haven't been told these types of rants before? And your rant itself is pretty far off from the real deal anyway. Do some research on what you're pissing on first...

Anyway, TNA is like all the worst parts of the last year of WCW...and that's really terrible. They made Samoa Joe a joke...that's unforgivable.

P.S.- I've been meaning to say this for a while now, but it's become such common knowledge these days. Who cares though...

Hulk Hogan is the scum of the earth.

Pretty vitriolic rant for a self-aware industry that no longer associates itself strictly as a sport - And most of the fans ARE aware of this fact.

Plus, uh... we get that it's scripted - we just don't care about it overall. :godot:

See, I dunno about that. Randy Savage DID threaten to beat up HHH and steal his wife away from him in a video of his supposed comeback, but I'm thinking that this feud goes way back further. SUPPOSEDLY he did something to her when she was still a teenager....

..but whatever he did, Savage is the ONLY person Vince McMahon does not want recognized in any WWE programming and such. WWE 24/7 doesn't count since Vince never pays attention to it. :x

The rumour was definately that he 'approached' her in ways unbefitting a man of his stature.
Long story short, Vince gets Angry...and Randy gets himself nulled from history. :3

Some have said it borderlined the nasty little 'R' word - but nobody can confirm or deny anything...and probably never will.

Wouldn't it make more sense if "wrestling" was quoted? I mean, they're still professionals, even if what they're professional at is acting.

Anyway, I was never really into large, sweaty, bare-chested men gripping at each other, so I'll let you folks carry on with your discussion.

2nd most pointless post in this thread.

So is Jeff still in the WWE? Last I heard he was supposed to be gone; I don't have WWE on Japanese local TV so I dunno what's going on these days.

P.S.- I should also take the time to mention the Botchamania series. Too bad Maffew's account got suspended AGAIN, but if you haven't seen any of his vids yet, I suggest you check them out. They should also be on uhhh Dailymotion and stuff.

John Cena: The only thing he sells is merchandise.

If you actually knew anything about professional wrestling you would know it was not about the wrestling >:(

EDIT: Why do I always get the feeling that Vince McMahon keeps dying? (not just kayfabe) How old is he anyway?

EDIT EDIT: Is Triple H still around? He's the megastar I never once found a problem with what a guy.

Probably almost 65, if not over. The dude is extremely fit for his age though. He's also huge: 6'2", 250 lbs. His physique's no joke.

Triple H is still around, only on Smackdown. Last I saw, he reformed DX again with HBK. He's supposedly a cool guy that knows a lot about the business. He just gets a lot of heat from smarks because of his massive title reigns and the fact that he married the boss's daughter which could've helped give him that push.

If you ask me though, he paid his dues when he got punished for the MSG Curtain Call. He jobbed to Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania, he deserves 10 World Title reigns while having Ric Flair be his tag-along.

I'm a HHH Fan - I admit this loud and proud. :3 Evolution was MY solution, heh heh.

I believe he's approaching his mid-40's, really...65 is a bit too high. XD;

Nono, I meant Vince was nearing 65. HHH is in his mid 40s by now.

And I hated the Evolution era in general. I mean yeah it was a nice nod to the Horsemen, but it eventually became more grating than the McMahon-Helmsley Era. The slowburn to Wrestlemania where Batista won the title was perfect though. Something they should've done to Orton instead of that godawful face turn after Summerslam..

Considering how much time and money they put into the Million Dollar Man gimmick(no pun intended), they never did give him the World Heavyweight Title in the WWE. Kind of a shame..
