Sheila waited for Howl patiently, seeing his signal.
"Buenos noches, Senor," Sheila said after J.D. Then, she realized she might have just sounded foolish. She only took the couple required years of Spanish, and spoke very little of it. She realized she forgot the tildy and blushed a little with embarrassment. ((Lol. I don't have a tildy key on my computer, so...xD))

Howl looked onto Rose. She wasn't moving. Maybe she had caught on to his mind language. "What's the matter Rose?" he questioned, peering into her every movement. "Get in the cab. We need to go."

Not trying to hint to Bobobo that something really was up, she said to him, "You go on ahead. I think I forgot something in the park." She then told the driver to go to the courthouse, shut the taxi door and waited for the cab to speed on. Then she asked, this time in a serious tone, "Okay, Ingmune. What's up?"

He slyly grinned. "Whatever do you mean?" His grin set a presence of secrets, but his thoughts were strung with rebuttals and defenses. He needed to do this investigation on his own. "Well? Why didn't you get in the cab?"

Rose was serious and she wasn't about to stop her interrogation. "I've been a prosecutor long enough to see even the slightest of details in any situation. You were going to stay while we went to the courthouse. I doubt Sheila knows what you're hiding either, so I can't ask her. Now, why did you do that? I'm involved in this just as much as the two of you, being the one who was called by one of our prime suspects, as you both know."

((Sorry, the computer hung, plus I was doing a history project about the first mass in the Philippines at Limasawa.))

Rose knew she had no evidence as to what they were planning, so she admitted her defeat. "Okay. You win. I'll pick up the recordings and the files, but just be sure to examine them in the office tomorrow." She then walked towards the courthouse, then she saw J.D. hiding behind a tree. She nudged her head towards him, small enough so J.D. wouldn't see, but enough that the two others would. After that she continued to walk down the street, listening for a reaction.

Bobobo, after his encounter with the cab door made it to the courthouse. "Wow, could've least given me some fair." Bobobo looked at the meter, "WHAA-!!!", Bobobo yelled as his eyes widend. A gleam once again went across his glasses, with his nosehairs whipping the cabbie into unconsciousness. "That's more than twenty bottles of shampoo.", he yelled as he rushed back into the direction of his new comrades. Wondering, what could've triggered this strange reaction, to only meet up with Rose. His licorice-like nosehairs retracting back into his nose. "What, *breathing hard* happened?", he managed to get out.

Howl looked to Sheila, noting that everyone was gone. He smiled. "Now we shall go, in something more suiting to my taste." He eyed towards the street as a small limo gently broke to a stop. He pulled open the door as a small, easy inclining ramp pushed out from the edge of the steps. "I have many clients who owe me favors." He mimicked a Chauffeur, and bowed. "Ladies first."

She took out a small tracking screen, with a red dot blinking. We'll see what they're talking about then," she said, attaching earbuds to the device and placing them on her ears. "Espionage must've been so much harder before GPS."

Sheila smiled.
"How very gentlemanly of you," she said. "But...Uh...What about Rose?" Something about Rose walking or taking a cab just didn't sit right with Sheila. It's probably that you can't imagine any prosecutor riding in anything less than a fancy car. Funny how you're a prosecutor and you still have your stereotypes.

Rose listened to their conversation quietly, still walking towards a destination not known to any of them. "How very gentlemanly of you," she heard Sheila saying. "But...Uh...What about Rose?" "At least someone is kind," Rose thought. "She seemed fine with hailing a cab, so I didn't want to bother." Howl then responded. "I'm only looking out for my partners." Rose seemed more annoyed at Howl now than either of the rookies. "Mmph. Well, it pays if you have a few other contacts," she then thought, turning the corner and entering an underground passage. "Thank goodness Aria is a spy as well as a scientist," she then whispered as she stepped onto the horizontal elevator, working much like the Maglev in Japan. She pressed a button and traveled to the courthouse in no time.

((Sorry, but I had to keep up with the competition. Hey, it's not my fault if Howl is competitive. And I myself am a ltlle competitive as well, having experienced so many trials in school life and outside.))

Sheila smiled back, not convinced. But she wheeled herself into the limo anyway. There would be plenty of time for questions later. Besides, it wasn't every day she got to ride in a limo. At least, that was the plan until she heard retreating footsteps. Did someone overhear? Seems whoever did was offended... She sat in a daze for a second.
"Maybe we should start headin' over there before they think we ditched them," Howl said.
"Yeah. Right," was Sheila's articulate and clever response before wheeling herself up the ramp.

Rose stopped at the underground exit nearest the courthouse, and walked quietly towards the back entrance. It was locked, but she easily unlocked it due to the fct that she was a prosecutor and had access to all kinds of places related to her job. "I'm in, and it seems that Howl and Sheila will be coming in about three minutes," she muttered. Then she turned off the screen and kept it, not wanting the twosome to get suspicious. She unlocked the storage room for old cases and searched for labels containing the cases to NY-5.

Howl drew up the ramp, stepped in, and closed the door. The limo sped off towards the courthouse. Howl sighed and slid lower into his seat. "Why won't this dude just give up and surrender himself. It's not like we won't find him anyways." He picked himself up. "I still gotta pay him back for blowin' my ride. Speaking of, I'm supposed to get the payments for that soon. I'm thinking maybe throwing the old prints away, and starting new..." Howl rambled off about new motors and bodies for his motorbike. After a couple of minutes, he looked outside, and noticed they had arrived. He opened the door, and kicked the ramp out again, waiting for Sheila.

Sheila nodded politely as Howl talked about something in what might as well have been a foreign language to her. She tried to pay attention, but eventually zoned out, thinking about what might come. She shuddered, her eyes widening as she envisioned the man shooting Bobobo. Then Rose. Then Howl...She bit back a scream and shook her head to clear it. That wouldn't happen, would it? No, there was no way. The guy was in hiding, trying to evade the law. He wouldn't go back to the very place where he was caught the last time. He couldn't be that stupid...could he? She snapped out of her reverie as Howl opened the door and the ramp lowered.
"Thank you," she said to the limo driver. He nodded slightly. Sheila wheeled herself down the ramp and turned to Howl. "Thanks for the ride." She smiled. Then, she turned to Bobobo. "Well, looks like we're going together. So, shall we?"

After putting the files they were looking for on the desk, Rose took out the tracking device briefly and muttered to herself, "They've arrived." Then she tucked the screen away into her bag and hid in a room, not wanting them to speculate at her very early arrival in the courthouse.

Howl had a thought brim up. He looked to everyone present. "Change of plans. We travel as a pack." He pulled out his phone and checked the time. "Damn. A trial is in session. Okay. We get the surveillance videos and the transcripts. If we find those in time, we travel to court room Number 3. Something tells me Mr.Powpow was at the trial. We'll check around the jurist stands and the viewing area. Any objections?" Normally, he would have pressed on, but he waited, seeing if someone would detest his plans.

Sheila was about to say something, but then Bobobo started talking about hair gel, and she shook her head. What was with that guy and hair? Don't think about that. Focus. What Howl said has some merit...

You would back me up, wouldn't you?" He grinned eerily, as he always did. "It would be fun to go through trial aga--" He stopped, his face drastically dropping to a very serious look, as he had before. "I said nothing." He began walking faster, farther down the hall.

Rose listened in the nearby room and as they walked further down the courthouse hallway, she opened the door and followed them to Courtroom No. 3. After a few minutes of them not noticing her presence, she caught up to them, saying, "I got the files from the previous cases relating to the matter." She handed Sheila and Howl several folders and video tapes of trials from her bag. "Why exactly are we here in this trial anyway?" she asked, knowing that they would wonder how she knew if she didn't.

I've been away for far too long.
So long, in fact, that all of my signatures now exist behind a paywall.
Bummer.
