But anyway, she was trained by Manfred in Germany and had a perfect guilty record until she set foot in California. Wouldn't think about it TOO much...

She had to become one at 13 to make it fit in with the storyline. And Manfred probably started training her when she was 5
Plus she became a prosecutor in Europe, which is more "progressive" and stuff in the PW universe (in the Japanese version, this "progressive" country was America)

I guess if you tried really hard and got into university at 10, then studied law there, I suppose if you're super amazing they can probably make an exception for you.

You know, I never really thought about why they really did that. At the same time on how dramatic and over-the-top this game was they always have a nice way of writing it in the script to make it believable in the end. Of course, I mean buyable in their world and incredibly insane in our real world.

Ouch, imagine how humulating that would be. A defence attorney losing to someone that could very well be their own daughter.

That explains a lot, but at the same time... I guess I never pictured Phoenix being so strong or having a high pain tolerance. Kinda makes me think he might've been into some freaky stuff back in the day. If you know what I mean~

Well, I think the whipping won't get you very far even if her rivals and the judge has low tolerances of pain. Without skills to support your case, it is unlikely that the judge would rule in your favor. For example, 2-2. The judge is intimidated through out the whole trial yet he didn't rule it in her favor at the end.
Furthermore, if winning court cases is about intimidation then in my opinion, the attorneys in their world would very likely be out of a job. The mafias would take over since mafias can do a better job at intimidating people. Since the PW courtrooms are still filled with lawyers, I believe she has the skills and the ability to start "whoopin asses" at the age of 13.

Well technically we don't know the state of defense attorneys in Germany. Maybe they really have all been whipped out of a job? It would be interesting to see how Franziska's practice in Germany may have affected their law system, because if a lawyer as sloppy as she is can have a perfect record as a 13 year old, something HAS to be up with their lawyers.
I mean, in 2-2 when Franziska came up against evidence she didn't know how to explain (Maya's robe) she just passed off blame to the police and hoped no one would notice. If she's that sloppy against an attorney she has a personal vedetta against, I can only imagine what she was used to getting away with in Germany.

I think part of the problem with Franziska's performance in JFA was that she was prosecuting cases that required making arguments for implausible or impossible situations. Her previous cases probably didn't involve spirit mediums or claims of flying murderers. I'm kind of surprised the judge even listened to some of the witness testimony in 2-3.
Franziska's biggest problem, though, is her lack of emotional control and general immaturity. Let's hope she grows up a little in GK.
