This is likely going to be the first of a series of updates as we get hit by incoming news and information.

The first item we have for you is a link to the English trailer. Some quick things I've noticed. Key Girl is known as 'Kay Faraday', feel free to speculate what the full pun is. Next, when Edgeworth comes to a conclusion, he shouts 'Eureka!'. And, I didn't notice this in the original Japanese version of the trailer, but I see some Blue Badger goodness in Gumshoe's introduction.

Thanks Japanese Girl for the tip!

Edit: The trailer has been taken down.

Kay Faraday... (not the WORST name I could have thought for her, kinda cute.) Eureka...? lawl..

Well Actually not too fond of the name of the game.. Perfect prosecutor sounded snazzy but still, the game IS more out of court then in it so I guess the name fits...

Although... Eureka is not something I can picture Edgey saying... despite the fact he went to europe for a few years >>;

and lawl ruffling...

Wait! If they've already recorded a "Eureka!" then... then... can we hope they're a good percentage through the English version already? (I know, it's likely they just translated the trailer, but I can still hope!)

Kay Faraday... I dunno, key for a day? I do like Kay though; it suits her. Faraday... the jury's still out on that one.

KAY FARADAY (lol)
(just stick'n em all here...)

Spoiler: Iggy (me)
Kay - Ketamine? (kay - nickname for ketamine, which is a tranqualizing drug, referring to being a theif.)
Key/Okay

Faraday -For A Day/Far Away?

Ok, I'm Far Away?

Got a Key for a Day

Inject you with Ketamine and go Far away? <--lolwhat (TAKE THE STUFF AND RUN, BISH)

Spoiler: LySs
Obviously means key of course

And Faraday could also refer to a Faraday Cage invented by the chemist Michael Faraday

In addition, a Faraday cage can prevent the escape of the EM fields emitted by a cathode-ray-tube (CRT) computer monitor. Such fields can be intercepted and translated to allow hackers to remotely view on-screen data in real time without the need for wires, cables, or cameras. This practice, known as van Eck phreaking, can also be used by government officials to view the computer activities of known criminals and certain criminal suspects.

So maybe a Key to unlock/lock the Cage?

Wasn't too keen on Ace Attorney Investigations (name-wise) at first but it's sorta grown on me.

Also, someone has already posted this on YouTube as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLNj9mM7ERA

Yay!
I actually quite like this trailer, I think they did a great job with it. But I'm not even going to try to give a guess on what is up with that name. XD Kay Faraday....Hrmmmmmhmhmhm....

And apparently Faraday cages can be used on cell phones to look at a criminal's data?
http://www.cellular-news.com/story/28121.php

So overall, FARADAY REFERS TO A TYPE OF CAGE TO VIEW CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES, AND IT'S ALSO A REAL NAME GAIZ.

I think they only translated the trailer. You can still see some japanese ingame footages and all english text looks "pasted" (it's not the real font, either).
Btw. is it the same voice actor for Edgeworth? It sounds different for me.

I'm pretty sure it's the same actor. His voice started sounding a bit more european in T&T (ie: Take that and Hold it.) In my opinion, they should just redo all of his voice clips to make it sound more fluent.

Awesome trailer! Kay Faraday? I actually like it. Faraday... Fey.... I wasn't too keen on the AAI name before, but I've gotten used to that as well. Don't think the "Investigation" part is needed since it makes the game titles are already long enough. Plus, all the games actually do more investigation than trials anyway. I suppose this is to differentiate the games so as to imply that this actually won't involve any trials. //ramble

I really like the new music in there though. I wonder who's the composer for this one. The ending is hilariously good. 'Ey, Capcom, we need a release date for outside Japan.

Thanks for that, but I'm not particularly interested in working around the take down just yet. I'll likely post something when the embargo is officially released, whenever that is.

And watching the trailer, I've noticed two interesting key words. Arabsque, which is an art form. And Cross-bow, which is a surprising and cruel weapon. Looks like we're still up for some surprises.

I was thinking, could Faraday be linked to Mikumo's special digital detector thingy that was shown in that recent magazine scan? Since you guys were talking about something with cages in cellphones and stuff. (Too hyper to read posts atm)

Nice, maybe they don't need another year to release it in the USA (Europe). How long after the AJ Japanese release did we saw the first english trailers and screenshots of it?

Btw. the Trailer still works fine for me.

That's exactly what I was going for.
Faraday cages are used to look at a criminal's information and are being used on cellphones now.

They prevent the entry or escape of a electromagnetic field. And this field allows hackers to see on-screen data in real time without the need of wires, cables, etc.

So in short, I'm going to assume that Kay/Mikumo is going to use her cellphone as a device to hack into criminal information or something... :yuusaku:

New Ace Attorney and MotoGP
Miles Edgeworth for DS due this winter.

Eureka! Capcom announced new Ace Attorney and MotoGP titles at its press event in Monaco last week.
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth is due out for DS this winter, and spins off from the traditional courtroom battling to solving crimes on the street.
Players control Edgeworth - a series regular - with an emphasis on puzzle-solving using the new "logic mode" to combine evidence and confront suspects.
You'll control Edgeworth's movements directly with d-pad or stylus across "several lengthy episodes". In the first, Edgeworth discovers a body in his office and is then threatened by a man with a gun. In the second, he finds a corpse on an aeroplane and somehow winds up as a suspect himself.
Footage shown confirmed that Gumshoe and other familiar characters also feature, and said something about an "evil plot silently unfolding in the darkness". Get some.

I'm so excited about this now, it could be out sooner than we think! (in the US anyway, they might be trying to translate into French, German etc. on the same cartridge like they did with AA and JFA, so the EU versions might take longer.)
Is it just me or does the Take That! sound different, like it has been re-recorded?

Actually, AA1, JFA and AJ took only TWO MONTHS to translate all that text to all other languages.
T&T took one year, however.

Eureka lawl. He should just say GOLLY GOSH! or BY JOVE! and get the stereotypes done and dusted.

Kay Faraday. Some nice theories, but maybe a bit obscure for AA puns?
I'm sure it'll have something to do with Michael Faraday though. Whether it's as obscure as a Faraday cage in phones I'm not convinced.
Spoiler: Conventional Faraday cages
A Faraday Cage is formed by an enclosed metal surround. Electricity passes over the surfaces of metal only, so the inside remains fine. Cars have this property, you wont be harmed if your car gets Lightning'd.

I'm not sure this phone thing is a true faraday cage or just called one because it traps signals

It could be anything to do with Faraday. Maybe her key is magnetic.
HIs most famous work is his law of induction. This is the theory behind electrical generators and transformers.

It's bound to be something electrical.

I hope I've jolted somone's mind into finding the pun. I can't see any wordplay though.

Just because the European version of AJ came out shortly after the American doesn't mean they did all the translating in that span of time. Two months is a crazy deadline for that amount of text. Remember that AJ was officially announced for Europe before the US but still came out later.

This winter? Mm, Technically January and February are a part of 'this winter'. I wouldn't quite hold our breaths for a pre-Christmas release, particularly considering Capcom considers that the Ace Attorney isn't mainstream enough not to be harmed as opposed to helped by the Christmas rush, but here's hoping.

Before next August would be nice though.
I can understand it takes time to translate from Japanese to US English, but why does it take so long to localise it for the UK?
Do the American ones have French and German? Is it those translations that take the time?
