Also recently I was playing 2-2 and presented Gumshoe's profile to Maya.
Maya: I felt terrible during the questioning session... I mean, Gumshoe kept looking at me with these really sad eyes...

Gumshoe, because of this. Also, fingerprinting is horrible for me. I hyperventilate every time I try to blow. I'm not overdoing it, by they way, my microphone(okay, it's actually a pair of headphones) doesn't work that well even on max sensitivity.

I don't dislike Ema, but she doesn't do very much that's interesting. Except in 1-5, science adds very little to the gameplay, since it's always determined for you where you can use it.

Yeah says it all. I really didn't like her. I know she said once "What was i here for? Comic Relif" YEah. I didn't like her. Gumshoe was funny and cute and seemed to be more funnier all toegeher and more likable.
Ema did bring science minigames but then Gumeshoe was the brought the most cannon pair in the games. Maggey / Gumshoe. He is also i found more likable.
That and my pure flaming hatred of Klema.

On the other hand, Gumshoe was even better. His 1-5 involvement was fun, and after all those cases I just love him now. He's one of the funniest characters to me, even though in an unusual way. Plus, his tendency to make his salary get lower at the end of every game's last case was even better than Godot's coffee addiction.

Gumshoe has always been a friendly, forgiving, and lovable detective. He is so easy to like, and to feel sorry for. I would have Gumshoe instead of Ema in a split of a second.

I mean Ema wasn't to bad when she made her first appearance but when she was in Apollo Justice it just didn't feel right...honestly my problem was both her personality and the fact that although she was a detective it felt she could just have been apart of the forensics team leaving the detective part open...even if it wasn't gumshoe as the detective for the game.

I like Ema since she let's us use scientific equipments but Gumshoe have one of the best personalities..... AJ Ema is more moody than the PW Ema... but she's one of my fave characters
.....
I choose Gumshoe 'cause he have a good personality and in some cases he let's us use some equipment such as the metal ditector... ( though using science equipments were more interesting in my opinion
)

I could care less whether you were kidding or not, and me being the only one who didn't get that it was a joke is debatable. Sarcasm and jokes plus written communication equals ambiguity of language. Therefore, what you intended in jest others might not perceive to be so. And my main point in calling you out on your reply was this: You should have at least thanked General Luigi for making the poll for you. It's common courtesy and might help you next time you want a mod or admin to go our of their way to help you.

Gumshoe is not merely good for comic relief, he also has his more serious moments which flesh out his character. Contrast this with the way Ema is presented in GS4: "I hate my job, I hate my boss, but I love science." That's her (one-dimensional) character as it exists in that game. I hope she's better in GS5. They don't even have to make her all bubbly like she used to be, they could just soften her up a little.
