This came out EXACTLY how I wanted it to! It is so cute! *squee*

*Ahem* Anyways, this sprite was done using one of Maggey Byrde's poses as a reference, and of course the hair and clothes are all custom made by me. As always, the skin color, eyes, nose and eyebrows came from Wocky's sprites, since she IS his daughter. The mouth I drew freehand using Wocky's mouth from his 'twirl' pose as a reference.

Her hair... It seems familiar somehow, doesn't it?

Yes, I have noticed that Rosa's hair is somewhat similar to April May's, but it's actually supposed to be like Wocky's being flat and having curled up ends, but every time I draw it it ALWAYS ends up looking like April's. I try to keep it consistent, but that's not always easy to do, is it?

About the pose- Coming from two parents that express very much emotion, I figured that Rosa would express a vast range of emotions. This one in particular is one that she does when she is very happy about something or being grateful towards someone. It could also be if a guy she liked said something nice to her. I actually called this sprite 'kira kira' (Or, in Japanese, キラキラ) It means to glitter or sparkle, and it was the name of one of Pearl's poses in the Ace Attorney artbook. It kinda reminded me of that, so that's what I called it.



At first I wanted to try to freehand a pose for Rosa's breakdown, but when I tried it it turned out not so good, so I went with Iris/Dahlia's instead.

One thing that I added that you don't see in Rosa's other poses is her ears- Well, her right one anyway. The shading with the ears just looks odd to me, but I did the best I could, y'know? Another thing I added is that she wears rose stud earrings. I took the rose from Jean Armstrong's sprite, shrunk it down REALLY small so it could fit on her ear properly.

Also, the shading on the hair for this one was EXTREMELY difficult. Her hair is just blowing about everywhere, so I just shaded it the way the original sprite was... Or as close I could get as possible. Her jacket is also being blown around by the 'random wind', so you can see the inside of it a little bit, and I shaded accordingly.

AUGH HER FACE. The face was hard to do as well. It kept looking really odd, and I fixed it numerous times, but it still looks weird to me.

About the pose- It's pretty much exactly like Iris and Dahlia's. Not much to say, really. Though I wanted a more unique one for Rosa, but...



Hoh hoh hoh, I wanted to do this one SO BADLY, because I always imagined her doing this pose.

This is, of course, an inspriation from Dahlia's bitchy hair flick. And yes, Rosa does it too, and just like her *Shivers in fear*

Everything is the same as always, but this time the mouth came from Alita's nervous twitch pose, since the mouth was at the perfect angle for the way her face is positioned here. The hand was a BITCH to draw- I kept having to redraw it because it would either be too fat or too skinny, but I ended up getting it just right.

Another problem I had was editing the sprite so she wouldn't look too skinny. The torso looks OK, but I think her lower half looks kinda thin. Eh, I'm just being nitpicky.

About the pose- Since Rosa is the niece of the diobalicaly evil Dahlia Hawthorne, I thought it would make sense if she inherited at least one thing from her- And the perfect thing for me was the hair flick. She's not evil like her, but she still has her bitchiness. If you see her doing this, BE AT CAUTION. You are about to witness WHITE EYES OF EVIL (...Just like Wocky, Dahlia and Morgan).



AWWWWWWWW~

Rosa in her younger years, probably around Pearl's age (8-10). I've asked some people before which form of Rosa they thought looked better, her younger or older self, and a lot of people tell me her older self looks better. Eh, I dunno, I like both ^v^

In this pose, Rosa is wearing a dress that billows up slightly and has a white collar. I think everyone knows that this pose was inspired by Pearl's angry pose, when she's about to slap someone. Yup, Rosa slaps people too. Her hair is also shorter when she is younger, and her eyes are wider. Other than that she is pretty much the same.

Personality wise, Rosa as a child was almost a carbon copy of Pearl. ALMOST being a key word, because she picked up a lot of things from Wocky as well, such as some of his mannerisms and speech, which some carry over to her older self.

About the pose- Rosa is gangsta, what else can I say?

I put the old sprites next to the new ones for comparison. Oh, and the quotes are possible ones for when
she appears as her older self in my next fic.

"I-I... I'm not sure what you mean, Mr. Justice."

Wow, I can't believe how shoddy the old sprite looks. It looks like I put no effort into it at all compared to the new one, eh? I remember someone commented on it and said that the arm was fat. I definitely fixed that with the revision, as well as giving her the jacket she has now.

"... What did you just say?!"

WOAH, talk about a HUGE change from the old sprite! Well, not much, except for the face. When I did the old sprite, I actually wanted to put the evil face on her, but I ended up doing the 'looking down' pose instead. When I got to this revision, I KNEW I wanted the evil face, since Rosa does have the evil death glare like her aunt, father and grandmother (Dahlia, Wocky and Morgan respectively). Also, the shading on the old sprite is garbage.

"Hmph, I don't have time to sit around and babysit you girls all day! I have work to do!"

Not much of a change from the old sprite, other than the fox from her shirt is gone. And the fact the shading is ten times better. Rosa does this pose when she's obviously annoyed or being impatient with someone/something. It seems like Rosa always looks cute no matter what mood she's in :3 (Well, at least I think so anyway.)

Tearful


"Oh, Mama, how could Grandma Morgan be so selfish to do such a thing like that to you... Just for power?!"

Again, not much changed except for really small things. This is obivously a pose where Rosa is upset to the point of crying. Hmm, I noticed on the old sprite that I did some pretty odd shading on her jacket. Glad I managed to fix that. Also, I got the tears from Maya's sprite ;)

Idle/Serious


"I-Is there something I can help you with?"

Yes, this sprite has been redone not once, but three times. The only difference between them is obviously the outfits and the shading. This is Rosa's 'normal' pose. When I see her do this, it reminds me of Pearl... I think I've said that before, haven't I? XD

Formal Dress

"I-I'm guess I'm ready to go now..."

Another remake! Rosa wears this dress in my next fic where she gets invited to a party being held by a certain character's son...

Anyways, this sprite is a complete overhaul of the old one, adding MUCH more detail to the dress as well as adding a necklace. With the shading of the dress I just played around with the colors and used ones that blended well. I also made an animated version with her blinking.

Meet Gloria Giorni!

"Aww, Quit bein' such a stick in the mud, Rosie! Ya gotta loosen up a little!"

New character alert! This is Rosa's best friend, Gloria. I came up with her name when I typed in "Glory day" in Google Translate, and it came up with 'gloria giorni' for the Italian entry, so I used it.

Rosa has known this girl pretty much since birth. She sees her as an older sister figure, since Gloria is two months older. Gloria is a lot more outgoing and loud than Rosa, and dresses more revealingly as well, indicating this. She speaks a lot of slang and has the stereotypical New Jersey/New York accent, since her family was originally from that area.

Gloria can be seen in my fanfics "The Fox & His Angel" (I think that's the title... I wrote this so long ago that I actually forgot) as a newborn where Wocky babysat her and "Every Rose Has Its Thorns" where she is six years old and being Rosa's friend and classmate. You will see her older in a future fic, alongside Rosa as always.

As for the sprite itself, I used Alita Tiala as a base and Desiree Delite's eyes and nose. Everything else was drawn myself. I wanted to give Gloria a contrasting look to Rosa, making her look more bold and outgoing. She wears a black jacket and pants, with a sleeveless shirt that is... Not really a shirt, but more like a tank top. Her hair is pretty much always in a ponytail. When she was younger, however, she had curly short hair, but it changed when she got older.

The hardest part about doing this sprite was shading her pants and jacket. I changed the shade of black many times, until I got something that would let the shading stand out better. The hoop earrings were actually easy- I just took yellow and made the colors get gradually lighter and darker.

Don's Request- Miss O!


I was asked by Don to do a character for his fangame named Miss O. She was described to me as being a TV star that dressed in teen/punk style fashion.

This was a bit difficult to do, since I did not have a picture reference, so I kinda had to wing it. As you can see, I used Alita as a base (Yeap I know I use her as a base A LOT), and April also for her angry pose.

When I was thinking of the punk image, I decided to give Miss O pigtails, purple pants and a tanktop, a belt, and two hoop earrings in both ears.

Machi's Daughter?

You're Apollo Yoostis, right? The one who defended my father?"

I've had this idea for a while. In my next fic, I actually thought about my OC Rosa Kitaki being friends with Machi's daughter in the *possible* future. However, she's a bit younger (About 15 years old), and she plays music as well... The violin!

As you can see, she looks pretty identical to Machi. She speaks English much better than he could when he was her age, though, being Borginian-American and all. The only thing I haven't done for her is give her a name...

As for the sprite itself, it was pretty easy to do. I used Machi's colors, eyes, nose and mouth, and the base is from Penny Nichols (The pose was too perfect).

Kitsune Kamen! (キツネ仮面）

"...This costume is totally wack, man..."

Moar Halloween costumes. I thought about doing this for a while, but just no decided to do it.

In case you don't know who Wocky is dressed up as, it's Tuxedo Mask/Kamen from Sailor Moon. The reason for this costume? Because I thought it would be lulzy to put Wocky in a costume of a character that is WAY out of his character. Trust me, I was laughing the whole time making this.

This sprite was REALLY HARD to do! Editing Wocky's hair to get rid of his ears and pompadour is a PAIN IN THE ASS. Also the suit was annoying too. But I really love how this came out though. This was by far the most difficult sprite I have done, and it came out pretty good despite that in my opinion.

Alita Tiala (Age 5-10?)

"When I grow up, Father, I want to help people just like you!"

How tragic that this never happened.

Anyways, this is a remake of a kid version of Alita I did a while back. Instead of wearing a bun her whole life, I assumed she would wear her hair down as a youngster. She was actually pretty sweet when she was a little girl, much like Pearl, but as we all know, she started to become corrupt when she was older...

This sprite was pretty easy. I just used all of Alita's original colors and her eyes and mouth. Used Pearl as a base and changed the positioning of the arms.

Something I whipped up in like 5 minutes. Got inspired by the Rhea Witts smiley Bad Player made.

"WOCKY... KITAKIIIIII...!!!!!"

Holy shit this sprite scares me. This a point in my fic, Every Rose Has Its Thorns, where Adela's true identity, Alita Tiala, is revealed after her psyche locks get broken. After that she goes on a psychotic rampage and... Well, you're gonna have to check up on my fanfic thread for updates if you want to find out the rest ;)

The hardest part about this sprite was editing Alita's pose so her arms would me beside her. I think her right arm looks kind of skinny, though :/

I also used Morgan Fey's glare eyes and recolored them to match Alita's skin tone, because they looked perfect for this pose. The hair was from Demon!Dahlia with really heavy editing. I wanted her hair to look really messed up... Kinda like Kristoph's, since that sprite kind of inspired this.

I think this sprite came out pretty good! I hope I scare someone :>
