Fantastic Mr. Fox
9/10

Likable characters, interesting animation, and all-around quirky. It's a nice mix of deadpan and screwball comedy which is such a refreshing change from all the "DURRHURR SHORT ATTENTION SPAN RANDOM POP CULTURE REFERENCE" mind-numbing movies out there.
I almost cried from watching the previews for "The Toothfairy" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel"...

Hilarious, great cast. It made absolutely NO sense, but it wasn't meant to. And it pulls it off spectacularly.

The Nine Lives of Fritz the Cat - 6/10
The sequel to "the first X rated cartoon" (this is rated R), which I haven't seen. The beginning was great but during and after the Nazi sequence it was boring as fuck. I almost fell asleep and didn't bother finishing it. The comics I've read of Fritz are better.

Star Trek (the new one) - 9/10
I was expecting not to like this movie because I barely had watched any of the TV show or movies, so I guess I had low expectations. However, I found the movie to be great because it didn't make me feel like an outsider to the fandom. It re-explained everything for newcomers while providing an alternate storytelling to the series, and now I'm actually edging into the fandom (and it helps to have an obsessed friend with DVD sets and life-size posters). Special Effects were great, though I found Uhura to be an add-on to appeal to romance fans or something and Nero wasn't as impressive of a villain as I thought he would be. Besides that, I loved it. By the way, the bloopers left me laughing my guts out. XD

Howl's Moving Castle- 9.5/10. I looove this movie and the only reason I'm giving it a 9.5 is because I don't like Sophie's voice(Japanese) and I also despise the fact that Christian Bale plays Howl in the English version...

What were you expecting? He's voiced by Mr. T. Mister. T.
But yes, the movie was filled of visual gags, and I loved that.

A Christmas Carol - 9/10

Amazing motion capture and animations. I've always loved Charles Dickens' original story, and I think they've done it quite well, specially being a Disney movie. I gave it a 9 because of the unnecessarily long chase scene.
Also, it's the Jim Carrey. He could have done every single role, and the movie would have been even better.
In fact, he could have done every single role in every single movie. Seriously, after watching A Christmas Carol, I dreamed about "A Night At The Museum" absolutely re-enacted with Jim Carrey in all roles. That includes animals.

Okay, I'll end the Jim Carrey rant now.

Inglourious Basterds. I absolutely loved it. I just can't get enough of the music or the performances. Everyone was great but, perhaps predicatably, I felt honoured to watch Christoph Waltz as Standartenführer Hans Landa - him and his "delicious milk".

My high school friends went to see this last night. I was so jealous, and I'm kind of angry that they didn't even try to invite me or get in touch with me. But meh.

I'm glad it was as good as it looks~ I'll see it one day.

I just got back from watching Star Trek on DVD a few minutes ago.

I rate it 8/10. It's good, with some brilliant moments, including

Leanord Nimoy as Spock Prime
but there were some not so good bits like
Spoiler: Possible spoiler?
Spock's relationship with that person who's name I've forgotten how to spell.

Young Sherlock Holmes (9/10)-I actually wasn't expecting much but wow, I ended up really liking it. I loved all the little nods to Sherlock canon (especially the scene after the credits) and the second murder scene was just awesome in terms of execution. The switch between comedy (most of the start) to creepiness is perfect and, ESPECIALLY the ceremony scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLhZZvTzNUY).

Spoiler:
I wasn't expecting Elizabeth to live but her death still depressed me. After seeing the ceremony scene I was praying that wouldn't be how she went and while her death was all right. The only problem I had with it was why she just didn't push Sherlock out of the way since she was right beside him as opposed to just stepping in front and getting shot >_>

The Nightmare Before Christmas. 9.5/10

Now this was actually the first time I've watched it. All my knowledge of it prior to watching it came from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Which isn't much but it got me interested.

It was amazing in the beginning but I felt it got a bit weirder near the ending...

omg <3333 The Princess and the Frog is pure genius. I loved every second. The animation was just so beautiful. The music was beautifiul and the characters wonderful. I hated how there was this baby that was constantly crying though, and her mother just let her crawl around and shat instead of like, you know, leaving the theater. I swear if I ever have kids, I am not taking them to a movie until they get out of that crying phase >___> Like the baby knew what was going on anywa-*rambles*
