Or DDR for short.
I think it is an absolute awesome game, especially with a metal dance pad. o3o
Although it is quite easy with the controller, I prefer dance pad over it. It burns calories and you have mega fun while you do so.

What are some of your thoughts on DDR?

Ahhh DDR. What a game, many a rainy afternoon has been spent pounding that pad for all it's worth. I still kinda suck though...

DDR is my one true love, seriously.
The Japanese version is much better than the cruddy English version however....

I have won several DDR competitions... I don't even know why I'm that good at it, I'm incredibly unfit. XD

I can't read DDR steps.

I keep trying to make it make sense in my head like music.

Music =/= DDR

Plus I have long dangly legs and like no coordination, so I think I'd suck rather hardcore. >>

My sister plays it a lot. I find it...highly annoying.
If anyone intends to join Gamefly, please do so via this link. I would appreciate it greatly. It would help me to get a free Wii. :)

I <3 DDR!

DDR sucks ass.

And yet, I spent quite a long time mastering it. I really do love rhythm games, and DDR was one of my first in the genre (my first Parappa of course). At about the time Guitar Hero was released, I lost complete and total interest in the game.

But not enough to show off. I still enjoy doing that.

I don't play it as much as I want anymore *cough*and got lazy after I started to play Ouendan and Elite Beat Agents. Sold my soul to my DS, obviously.*cough*Hack*

Not to mention I can never play DDR in an arcade without some egotistical asshat, waiting in line to play, saying that I suck or that the music I play either sucks or is over played. *rolls eyes*

I only every play it to pass time. Not to perfect, not to show off, or master it or anything... DX

Just about every good rhythm game nowadays kicks DDRs ass.

I've got StepMania and make songs for it.

I also got DDR: Mario Mix for Christmas. I beat it in two hours using the included pad and then my heart proceeded to explode.

I really love Dance Dance Revolution so much...im particulary good with levels between STANDARD and HEAVY.

I do own some of the games...

USA Versions:
Dance Dance Revolution Extreme 2 (Playstation 2)
DDRMAX2: Dance Dance Revolution (Playstation 2)

JAPAN Versions:
Dance Dance Revolution (Playstation)
Dance Dance Revolution 2nd Remix (Playstation)

I plan to collect the JAPANESE versions because they are way better...the USA versions ARE OK.

DDR is probably my favorite rhythm game. I'm so much better with my feet than my hands, and dancing is really my thing, not guitars or stylus tapping. I love all beat games, but DDR takes teh cake because it's what I do.

I'm also pretty good with the standard level, but first go on light to get 'warmed up.'

I have DDR Extreme and SuperNOVA. SuperNOVA is incredibly awesome. But I do want to get MAX2.

Yeah...I heard about the USA version of SuperNOVA has a couple of SOME GOOD SONGS.

I wanted to buy that, but I got disappointed from the total amount of songs. The JAPANESE version has over a 100 (Some people referred it as an "ALMOST ARCADE PERFECT VERSION" of the original) including some of the most cooler songs...like Doll, in which I WAS DISAPPOINTED IT WASN'T INCLUDED IN THE USA VERSION! Ack (I read the list!)

Considering that Chikikyo JUST went over the differences between the two versions, I'd say yes. It does matter.

...But either way, In The Groove is a better investment than any DDR game. Like I said, just look it up.

I don't play much, but I like showing off when I can. I lost my heavymode ability, though... I'm only on standard now. It's been a while.
I still love some of the songs. Butterfly, Speed Over Beethoven... others that I can't recall at present.

I got one of those games for Christmas, it was called Dance Factory. It was really, really disappointing.
The synching was the shits, and my mom returned it; saying that it was a big waste of money. She did get me a game for the DS instead. :D

Aside from Guitar Hero, DDR is my favorite rythm game. I usually don't play it in arcades though, because more often then not the step pads become over sensitive, (cuz those damn people pound on um) causing you to become pwn'd.

Or maybe my arcade just sucks... =p

Favorite songs!
Cartoon heros
Freckles (something or other mix)
Butterfly
Love Shine

I had Dancing Stage Euromix and the sequel on the original PlayStation, they were fun.

I never got a PS2 though, considered it, but considering it was double the cost of a Gamecube Mum wouldn't have it. I'd hate to see her face if I asked her for a PS3 (not that I'm going to, I'm not keen on it)

But it's coming to the Wii and apparently you might be able to dance with your hands as well as your feet, that should be interesting.
