It's true.

It's coming to the DS, and being developed by Bioware. So there's hope that it'll be good.

Even if you're one of those idiots who thinks BioWare makes good games, this is being developed by their new handheld team which was assembled a few months ago specifically to develop games for handhelds.

Newbies, all of them. They have developed nothing.

I'd rather take Sonic Team over Bioware.

In before Jedis.

Well someone has never played Knight's of the Old Republic. Trust me, this game is in very good hands.

No offence, but could you give a source for this? You can't just throw it out there.

I played Kotor, and it sucked. Both of them.

The game could only be in worse hands if Sonic Team and Bioware fused into some horrible, single entity and then revived Acclaim.

Thanks. I see. Though, I'm not sure all of them are new to programming. I'm sure at least a few would be veteran programmers from the console games in the past.

Even so, we should approach with caution.

Okay, its an RPG by Bioware, it will be awesome and I can't wait to get it. All they had to say was Untitled Bioware RPG and I would pre order it, even their ehh games (Jade Empire) are really entertaining.

Unlike Mario (and his RPG's for this case), Sonic relies on speed and we all know that RPG's are sl*shot*

Go where, exactly? That Kotor was trash, or Acclaim's rise from the grave?

I've tried to think back on something Acclaim ever did right and so far the list is "die and never come back."

Everything beyond Sonic Adventure 2 has been a failed attempt (save for Sonic Rush) to revive the Sonic the Hedgehog series; though, I have yet to cast judgment on Sonic and the Secret Rings so that's out of the loop for now. Why can't people just quit doing stupid things that will only drag Sonic's good name further into the mud? His reputation has already suffered horribly. Don't make things any worse than they are!

Would you prefer that I change my analogy?

I predict that this game will be just another cash-maker and nothing more.

I'm terribly afraid because of this news. Sonic has already been so CRUSHED by almost every game after Sonic Adventure 2, 'cept Sonic and the Secret Rings (tough it's not really that great, but a lot better than Sonic Heroes, that's for sure) and, maybe, never played it, Sonic Rush.
I don't care if they are professional or newbies, unless they are geniuses, I highly doubt this would work. I mean, yeah, not every RPG is slow, and battles can be totally reinvented, but who says THEY will do it?
Nintendo never betrayed me, and even if I thought it was impossible, it put Mario in some extremely good, funny, and high quality RPGs. Sega, on the other hand, just thinks of sonic as a franchise. It's just a way to make money, nobody could care less about him, and that's cruel, because Sonic fans are so many, and they all feel so disgusted by what's happening. I know many of them that left the Sonic fandom... Well, I'm going a little off topic, maybe I should say this somewhere else...

Heh Bioware is getting in on it, ahhh, fond memories of Neverwinter Nights, hopefully it won't screw up, well lets see how the rpg turns out and not make assumptions of it before it comes out. When it comes out then we can be reviewed.

Actually, this would not only be bad, but have atrocious marketing. Atrocious is a fun word.

And Acclaim is already revived, in some way.

If by atrocious marketing you mean that one company never advertises their game then yes. If Bioware puts some cameos in it, what games will they use?

Someone here obviously has not looked at a Bioware game ever.

Bioware games including the following:

Greasy haired jedi
top down isometric perspective / 3D
'Choice' dialogues in which nothing changes no matter what answer you give, because you have to select the one that 'progresses' the story
Orientalist takes on 'Asian' characters and settings
Crappy, Fantasy "literature" writing, with dialogue so painful you know it was written by some third rate D&D hack who never quite made the cut for Forgotten Realms novels
Slow as shit gaming speed in which you are forever underpowered and bored out of your mind
