It came from Tim Burton's mind.

Anyway, I'll probably check Avatar after it releases here... in January 1st, when I won't be home. Just great. But I can wait.

The Fattest Man in Britain
8.9/10

I LOVED this film. It tells the story of Georgie Godwin, the fattest man in Britain. Making money from tourists who come to see him (and touch him, to Georgie's reluctance) alongside his eccentric manager, he ends up providing shelter and a place to stay for a troubled pregnant teen. As the teen warms up to him, she becomes concerned about his health, and puts Georgie into a difficult decision; lose weight to survive, or gain weight to beat out the competition.

A fantastic dramedy, you get to see why being the fattest man in Britain is so important to him, and how it makes all the difference how the rest of the village reacts around him. He's also played by Beadle Bamford from Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd. As much as I want to give it a 10, the score was lowered because of its comedy, which was just too hit and miss and very few laugh out loud moments. Still, the drama parts really do deliver.

Inglourious Basterds: 8/10

Spoiler:
For some reason, the amount of violence was no surprise at all to me. It did a good job at keeping me in suspense and wanting to know what happens next.

But I heard many people rave about how funny it was, it was a great film, but didn't seem very funny at all. Unless you realize how much this movie obviously contradicts real history. Watching Hitler get shot at repeatedly was also funny. But besides those the movie seemed only about violence and drama.

(Hope this counts...)
The Mighty Boosh Live: Future Sailors Tour
8.8/10
After the first live show (which was like a long episode of the show), this one was a little disappointing. Instead of creating a big plot and story, this seemed more like a series of cameos of characters from the show. Sure, the whole second half was set as a play, but it was just a tad late. However, it still was definitely The Mighty Boosh- still random and funny. It just seemed more like a concert.

(If it doesn't count, I can always...)
Jingle All the Way
Difficult to rate.
Either 2.1/10 or 9.9/10.
This movie is awful. I'm not going to go into it much (there's Nostalgia Critic for that), but it is bad.
However, it is really entertaining at the same time. Arnold in a Christmas movie may be the worst idea ever, but I can't help but laugh at it. I guess I just should've said "It's so bad, it's good" right at the beginning. Oh well.

Amazing special effects (I didn't even see it in 3-D and it still looked like it was in 3D :P) But the storyline just ruined it. It was incredibly long, cliche, and just... boring. Not to mention the storyline was the exact same as Atlantis: The Lost Empire. (I mean really... almost EXACTLY the same.) I also disliked how it stuffed the environmentalist message down your throat. HARD. If it had a tad more subtlety, it might of helped. I just... I feel like I've heard this story so many times before. It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for people saying how awesome it was all the time.

The Blind Side - 8/10

Not to much to say hear. Great story, captured the feeling of the book as well.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - 8.5/10

I know its really old and all, its just that I recently saw it and then heard a bunch of people talking about how much they disliked it. I really don't see how... People say its too convoluted, but its the complexities that make it so awesome. If people would just pay closer attention and follow along, then they would see how intricate the plot is, and how beautiful that is.

Inception - 7000/10

Well, I recently saw the trailer. It isn't even going to be out until july, but I can already safely say this is going to be the best movie of all time. Overhype? With Christopher Nolan, there is no such thing as "Overhype". You can hype it up as much as you want, and its still going to be underhyped. This will hit theatres in july, and everybody in the entire freaking world should be there.

You should really give it 100/10 just because it's got Johnny Depp in it. :bellboy:

Bedtime Stories- 9/10

I watched it with my little sisters, and I expected to hate it, but it was surprisingly good. It actually had me laughing at a few points, and it had a good plot that didn't take itself too seriously. The acting was also good, the two kids didn't irritate me, funnily enough, because normally kids in movies annoy me. But, yeah, quite a good movie.

Evil Dead - 8.8/10

It's a nice movie just the old fashioned slasher movie that this days makes you laugh on some scenes (the tree raping a women is just hilarious, it looked like a robot XD), it's not like it has the greates story or special effects (it's kinda from the 80's i think) or the most clever characters that make you scream: "WTF are you doing you idiot!?", "Don't go out dammit!", "Fucking kill that thing you idiot!" and more. Also I love Bruce Campbell's funny acting even now in Burn Notice.
Thanks. It was, is and always will be a pleasure.

The Punisher (2004) - Thomas Jane & John Travolta star in this overlooked gem. Alot of reviews critizise it due to the plot, though it's not the producer's fault, they're following the history of what Marvel made. Then, Marvel fans critizise it for lack of more brutal methods The Punisher uses in the comic. Though for me and a handful few, this is a great movie. I love it to the bone, packed full of action and a sympathetic plot, if you're a fan of The Punisher you have to at least like it. Too bad the 'sequel' turned to shit. 9.5/10

Disney's Up - Fantastic, I thought it would be another Pixar CG crap out of Mickey's ass but I was wrong. Pretty funny plot, sad in someways. But I mean, talking freakin' dogs!? Ho can you go wrong. 9/10

Anyone who went to see it expecting the traditional Sherlock Holmes story would complain that there was far too much action. Anyone wanting an all action thriller would complain that there was far too much dialogue.
I really like the happy medium, and the music, plot and acting was also really good, so I give it 9/10.

Kay, it's been a while since I've chimed in, so here's a couple from the last month:

Half-Blood Prince: 8/10 - I really liked how they balanced the comedic parts with all the drama, and I'm finally starting to like Luna Lovegood's actor. However, all the scenes were literally too dark; in the theater, it had looked fine, but on my home TV, I had to turn the brightness up a lot. Also, the ending scene was pretty anti-climactic; it really didn't have the same impact as the tragedy from the Order of the Phoenix.

Princess and the Frog: 9/10 - I watched this on opening day with my friends because we were determined to support Disney's decision to return to 2-D animation and it did not disappoint. Maybe it's just me, but despite some of the predictable points in the story, I found it adorable and full of the same Disney spirit as the older animated movies. It was refreshing and I'm very addicted to the songs *has CD*

Star Trek: 9.5/10 - It's so weird, I'm not even a Star Trek fan and yet I absolutely adored this movie. I've watched it about five times already and I love the graphics, the comedy, and characters, among other qualities. Geez, it feels like I've already talked about this movie, but I'm too lazy to check. I watched it again with my Trekkie friend and she explained all of the parallel universe stuff, so now it makes more sense. :D

Honestly...not that great, but the action was lovely and the animation was good. The original voice cast being mostly there certainly helped matters. 7/10.

Saw The Fantastic Mr. Fox today and I'm giving it a 8/10. It was purely entertaining. Although I wasn't too sure about the animation at first, it truly worked itself out and was, all-around, really good. George Clooney as Mr. Fox was also a really good choice, as the characters entire persona fit with him. Favorite character all around was the son, Ash.

Just (accidentally) watched Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure on TV. I give it 1/10. I suppose it's for stupid teenagers, but still... it's absolutely terrible. I have no idea why it is not considered one of the worst films ever made. I just checked on Wikipedia and they say it's a "cult comedy classic". Maybe it just hasn't aged well... But the acting is terrible (I had no idea Keanu Reeves could be so bad), the story non-existent, and each gag fails harder than the previous one. It's so obvious the writers are struggling it's almost painful to watch... Is it just me?
