Besides, who better to pair the angsty werewolf man with than the unassuming science geek who helps him with his problems? That nervous, tenuous bond that comes from a professional relationship, not only as their daytime roles as forensic investigator and prosecutor, working side-by-side on court cases, but also controlling his accursed werewolf form through the power of science (and maybe love?). Besides, what with him having to visit her house just about every night to drop off Pesu (and get his anti-silver serums and what-have-you) there's bound to be rumors.

We're just here to have our own wacky brand of fun. Super Makoto is part magical girl, part comic books, part crack, and PURE EPIC. It's a twisted, upside-down universe where you have interdimensional lesbians, megalomaniacal mastermind kittens, coffee barons, Spartans, transgender babes, and a hobo. Oh, and don't forget NINJA PIRATES. It's safe to say we've thrown a better part of sensibility out the window.
So before we start any more arguments, I think we should all just let our inhibitions go a tad and let this universe evolve as it will, rather than as it should.
As a parting positive note before the art dump, I'd like to say that whoever makes the 300th REPLY in this topic gets a SPECIAL picture from me featuring our favorite Spartan, Apollo Justice! You may make a request as to what/who else you want in it.

Here's the info on Lyss
Lyss is a secret agent that works for the Government. She's been asked to investigate the occurrences that revolve around Super Makoto. Whenever she finds her however, she seems to get stuck in the situation herself. She is skilled in the art in kick-boxing. Rumors say she has a kick so fierce that can break through stone. Lyss has a one-track mind when it comes to the things she's interested in. Once she sets her mind on something, that's the only thing she'll be focusing on until she's satisfied. Such as capturing a criminal, investigating mysterious situations, etc. Her past and how she began to work for the Government is a mystery. However she is loyal and looks up to Hobocop. She believes what she does as an agent for the Govt is "righteous" in his honor. Now why could that be?
Also, Lyss has an addiction to frappuccinos and any other type of sugary iced coffee. Usually calm, cool and laid back, she acts like a crazed maniac when it comes to fighting, having her mind set on something, or when she's craving her sugary caffeinated drink.
I'll try to work more on her character later on.
In the meantime, what about Cody? Is he gonna be just a normal character as Pearl's classmate, or does he have some super special awesome secret samurai moves as well? What if Cody and Pearl were both made as Will's successors, but didn't know each other because Will trained them both seperately? Pearl and Cody can have some rivaly thing going on like "Powers' made me his successor! Not you!"
And as for Hobocop, I had this idea that he was a cyborg because his name sounded like "Robocop" XD Good idea or bad idea?

Actually, you're kind of right about Kiri... if you look at him, he's kinda got a broad chest, especially in his in-game sprites.
And sure, knowing the destination is all fine and dandy, but thinking of the 20 YEARS LATER sequel is probably going too far X_X
And as for Makoto... I think we need to get the people who know the most about her main storyline and finish that off before finding an epilogue for her. Maybe she becomes the new Princess of the Universe (Manfred IS the main villian and is therefore dethroned, right) and there's some dealie with that?

HOWEVER--I have a very simple reason for not wanting EmaxMiles. And it's not even that I don't LIKE the pairing. I mean, I don't like loli!EmaxMiles, but I'm interested in the idea of Older!EmaxMiles, which is what this is, so I'm not trying to be all "I NO LIKE PAIRING KTHNX D<"
But here's the thing--I'd VERY much like to play the part of Ema in this RP.
And, well...I don't do romance. I CAN'T do romance. I wouldn't know the first thing about it. So if we insisted upon EmaxMiles, then either it'd end up fake and contrived and make me feel awkward and probably make everyone else feel awkward too since I'd do it so BADLY...Or I wouldn't get to do the character I want to do. Which, you know, wouldn't be the end of the world. It's all just for fun. If we REALLY want this pairing then I'll just give the role of Ema to someone else. My intention is not to be selfish, I'm just saying that's my opinion on the issue. I'm sure we can come up with some sort of compromise--for instance, I'd be willing to have the two be close in the situation that MSOB described and I'd be willing to, as Ema, fangirl over Miles and angst over furries and blah.

Perhaps we were all a tad harsh, but we don't want the real detractors cropping up any time soon. They know we got fire and vitriol, eh? I had an inkling that you'd taken the time to think this out when you first opposed it in Paintchat, but I never pounced on that particular notion until now. Your opinions will be valued, Sil.
And if you like the more one-sided Ema more, all the better, since I myself consider Miles to be a more-or-less closed off person, the stereotypical man who has trouble expressing himself and by today's standards would be earmarked for sensitivity training. Especially throwing in the werewolf aspect, this will force him to (violently?) cover himself up in front of Ema, who, even though she may not be the best set of eyes for it, is the sole witness to his inner conflicts as a human being, as well as a prosecutor.

Okay, not really, but Mu, I think you said something that I've been wanting to say for a while but avoiding because alternate or negative opinions seem to be jumped on in this thread o.O;
I, personally, haven't read any indication in this thread that this project is supposed to turn into something for the general public, which is part of why I stayed silent about the OCs and in-jokes and such running rampant. If we're not like...writing epic Gyakumech type fanfiction, and OCs and in-jokes make everything more fun for us involved in the project, then by all means we can include them and have a ball. It's been massive fun for us so far.
But...I think there's a certain level of OOCness where I have to draw the line.
Since Mu brought up the Kawadzu issue, I'll use that. If we think that panty thieves are fun, then by all means, insert a panty thief. But if Kawadzu isn't actually particularly perverted, then we don't NEED to make him perverted because we already HAVE canonly perverted characters. Hotti, for a start. It's like when we were putting Matt in a love triangle with Makita, but we made it be Nice!Matt...there just isn't a reason to turn a sociopath into a nice guy when we already HAVE several nice characters.
So here's the thing. I want to be random and have fun and be crazy just as much as the next person. Heck, we are TURNING MAKOTO INTO A SUPERHERO HERE, I think crack is warranted. I don't want to appear the negative nancy, but I just...don't get why we have to put certain things in here or characterize certain characters certain ways, and I feel like if I say anything against anybody's ideas I'm going to end up with a hoard of people telling me to STOP RUINING THE LOVE AND PEACE and HOW DARE I NOT LIKE THEIR IDEAS and BUT /I/ LIKE IT. And I just don't think any of that is helping this to turn into a healthy project that everyone can agree on.
...Actually, speaking of characterization, let me throw another idea out here and I apologize if I'm just stating the obvious: Makoto is a very shy and scared girl, and we're turning her into a superhero. SO, I think we can do a lot of fun things with that concept. For instance: Makoto is shy and withdrawn and shaky when somebody approaches her to casually talk in school--and then OH NO THE SADISTRESS IS TERRORIZING PEOPLE QUICK TO THE BAT MOBILE. That's actually something that I think we can play up to be amusing while adding subtle things into her character that make it believable. For instance--what is her motivation? Is she ever scared while SAVING THE GALAXY? You bet. I think it's these types of things that can really bring this project to life while still leaving a lot of room for adding humor and craziness into the mix.

This is what I want to hear: ideas. Makoto herself has not even been finalized at this point in the project, and being the crux of the entire universe (literally and... well, literally), maintaining her essence (and perhaps fine-tuning it) should/is a primary directive around these parts. I want people to think about Sil's bit here and expand on it - if we can't get the Design Meeting done in one day, then we will have it stretched out over a series of posts.

Have we all gotten lost somewhere along the way? I'm not afraid to admit it. The fine-tuning will always come after laying the foundations - or are we building the castles in the clouds first? I think we're reaching that point where the overdrive has started to wear out and we've got more sober voices chiming in before we careen further down the freeway of PURE EPIC (though I'm not of any mind to stop). ...Metaphors aside, I agree that we need to flesch out Makoto's character properly and then decide what the other character's roles are and how it all fits in with both their canon personalities and the structure of our AU. I must admit that, not speaking Japanese, I only know the bare basics of the GS3 and 4 characters...and, not to try to ask anything of you unfairly Mu, but I think you're excellent at telling us when we're off-track with one of the characters and I'd highly appreciate it if you'd let us use you as a resource.
Also, we've come up with roles for many characters and ways they relate to other characters roles, but I don't think we've come up with much in the way of a plot structure as a whole. An RP would be a great place to explore this, but I'd like to come up with a few plot basics--a sort of chronology of basic events...I guess sort of a timeline and a vague idea of what happens when Makoto and *insert other superhero here* goes up against this villain or that villain.

That's a good idea of what to figure out, Sami--Conflicts. Motivations. We have our heroes and villains, now WHY are they are heroes and our villains?
If we want to draw from GS4 as much as possible, we could just have it as such:

...And that was all incredibly cheesily phrased, but you get the idea.
That route would be canical, easy to pull off, and probably not get a whole lot of opposition. It would also provide motive for both of them and lots of opportunity for subplotty angst and perhaps some nice Odoroki+Minuki character development in a scene with him telling her about his angst and her cheering him on.
HOWEVER, we can, of course, take any other route we want. This is open to fun and creativity, so if anyone else has any suggestions, by all means give them.

...Actually, the concept of Makoto having to battle her shyness so she can battle her enemies is something that's appealing to me more and more as we talk about it. She doesn't want to have to do it, but with urging from her parents, she realizes it's just something she HAS to do so with help she pulls through. As she accepts her duties, she also grows more as a person and comes to realize things about herself and the world around her as she starts to come out of her shell a bit--both while battling evildoers, and while being invited to sleepovers by Minuki and Pearl and to the movies by Takita.
......I am LOVING the sound of this x3

Hmm... sounds good to me, except that Sadistress and Apollo Justice seem to be more lighthearted characters than this little blurb paints them to be. I think Sadi just likes seeing Apollo flip out when she's around. XP Oh, and while I'm at it, who is Apollo Justice in relation to his "normal" self? Is he an alternate persona fueled by an impulse like Sadistress is to Kiri, or is he ACTUALLY Apollo Justice?
Oh, and your Makoto blurb is also great. A little internal strife makes for good plotfeed.

I've had to rewrite this post about FOUR TIMES because what everyone's been adding!

Since then practically everything in above post has been debunked. (I managed to freaking...ARUGH this is the second time I've missed an important postmark. Words cannot describe how upset I am.)
I really want to ask everyone to SLOW DOWN but that's impossible. But please remember that I CANNOT BE ONLINE often right now. Please don't make this weekend a stressful one. loli is very upset right now.
Mu is right. She brings up a very good point that I've had with me but I haven't been able to bring up.
How are we presenting Makoto? I've never said it out loud (if I have, not loud enough) but a lot of how we (Bee?) are currently presenting her is really upsetting me. I kept re-checking 4-4 just to make sure I wasn't wrong.
I wasn't. She's supposed to be this shy girl who looks out the window and goes OH GOD THEY'RE ALL GOING TO EAT ME.
And...not what I was seeing.
As for the other problems I don't know and can't care at the moment (TIME RESTRAINTS), I'm just all ACK ACK ARUGH right now but yes there is some very real with problemage with Makoto at the moment so right now can we PLEASE FIX THAT, however subtly.
I don't know how. Just...could we find a way to make it happen. I could suggest a way to do so, but the only thing right now that's in my brain is just a bunch of ACKACKACKACKACK.

And I didn't mean to make Sadistress sound serious, either. I totally see her as a "giggle as they squirm" sort of villain--but of course, she IS a villain, and villains do evil deeds, and her name DOES imply sadisticness that I think complements her character well.
Edit: @Mu: Ah, thanks for the info, I believe that's what we'll go with ^.^ In that case, it'd prolly be good to start the project off with end-of-GS4 Makoto as a springboard of her character development.

I don't know, with the exception of the villains we've been sticking with the GS4 timeline, so it would be and older Maya. That might be interesting. We could go the obvious route and have her be a steel samurai fan...Actually, it might be interesting to have her fangirling over the Pink Princess/next gen Steel Samurai to Pearly/Cody xD; We could have her use her psychic powers somehow as a hero, but right now I'm not sure if we need any other heroes and we have a couple people as superpowerless characters already so it wouldn't be a stretch to have her as one of them as well. Or she could be the master of Kurain and be consulted by the heroes to channel a few spirits...hrm
