Stepping away from the wall and brushing any dirt from her back, Scarlet made her way over to Zues, tapping him on the shoulder. "Hey, what are you doing?" she said, her voice a perfect mixture of amusement, curiosity and innocence. Of course, he wouldn't know she'd been eavesdropping.

Suddenly, Zues heard the door open behind him and felt a tap on hsi shoulder. It was Scarlet.
"Hey, what are you doing?" she asked.
"Ooh, talking to a friend. She likes to dress in coats, and wear hoods that cover her face. Michelle, meet Scarlet, Scarlet, meet Michelle. Say hi, Michelle."
He winked at Kimiko to play along.

"Of course, Michelle one worked for her, but eventually turned good and tricked ehr here. So, uhm, we need to go abck in and see Kimiko. Be careful though Michelle, we need to make sure she doesn't harm you."
Zues grabbed Kimiko by the arm and dragged her back into the small room. He then took off her hancuffs and shoved her into the cell. Then he locked it.
"How about this? You help me and I'll ehlp you. Everytime my shift comes, I'll let you out for a short period of time. But you have to help me by telling me what you know of the time stop case. You're smart, so you should have figured out a lot from the case files."

Zues turned around as he heard a voice to see that someone had sneaked in.
"Gah, how did you get in here? Who are you anyway? I'm making a deal with her to help the SIS, which I assume you're a member of. I didn't make the cut, sadly. Detective Zues Pandora, best detectivein ClockRoost, and you?"
He put out his hand to shake with Luneth's when he realised how pretty she was. She was different to what he was used to anyway.
"Wow, you're pretty. Is it just you or is it hot in here?"
He ignored the last two questions, knowing how much crap he could get in if he answered them truthfully.

I used this method for the rest and spotted the same pattern. The killer's currently on number 49. Evidently these murders and suchforth are, as we suspected, linked to the time stop. And if we don't move quickly, the numbers will carry on getting lower and lower and the only way to make the smaller numbers will be to kill children." she finished, a slightly saddened expression on her face. She was fond of children, after all.
She turned at the sound of the woman's voice and frowned.
"Firstly Miss Whoever-You-Are, you'd have to have been living blindfolded in a hole with earplugs for the last year not to know who I am. Secondly this "deal" as you call it, is none of your business."
Kimiko rolled her eyes as Zues began hitting on the woman.
"When he says best detective, he always fails to mention not only did it take him three years to catch me, he wouldn't have solved his last two cases if it hadn't been for me."

Suddenly, conversations broke afoot and he didn't like them. He astarted to rage until:
"AND I'M NOT WIERD THANKS. Stop stealing my info. I have the right to sole this case more than you. My brother died first, an you, a person who just walks by steals evrything! You're not stealing my thunder!"

Zues bowed apologetically, a habit of his when he pretended to be sorry and actually wasn't. He didn't intentionally adopt it off the Japanese or anything, he just did it.

She wasn't serious, but Kimiko did so enjoy messing with Zues' mind. Briefly she glanced at the paper cranes that she'd folded earlier strewn about her feet. I could fold them all night until time starts again, but I still wouldn't have even half the good luck I need.

She gave me.... a present? Kimiko wondered, looking down at the origami paper in her hands. She remembered Keiko teaching her how to fold paper cranes when she was younger- They bring you good luck, Kimi-chan.. and decided that while she didn't have anything better to do, she might as well make use of the knowledge.
So if I'm correct and the murders are indeeed counting down, that means that when the murders end, time will restart? Is the only way to resume time to let more people die?

The door creaked as she opened it and the lights flickered on. The front door opened up onto a spacious kitchen and she walked right in and turned on the stove. Putting a pan on the stove, she cooked up noodle soup and started eating it. Reviewing the facts that came to light, she drifted off, thinking about the case. After awhile, Luneth fell asleep at the table.

But then he realised, was there something suspicious about her? He realised that he'd have to hid the files. That'd be what she'd want if she this was all an act. He got an idea as to how to make them disappear.
"Thanks Scarlet. If you don't mind, I'm gonna call the troll."
He took his phone out of his pocket and rung the house again. As soon as it stopped ringing he said: "Hey, Luccy boy! My friend Scarlet and I are on our way home. Did you get your dinner alright? Was it good? I've got more questions to ask, but maybe I should let you speak."
