Everyone's entitled to their opinion of course. I personally LOVED Maya, Trucy, *and* Ema (though more in AJ than when she was a Maya clone in 1-5), even though I know several people don't like them at all. I really thought I would like Kay too, and was terribly disappointed by how much I disliked her.
Can we all just agree to love Edgeworth instead? Haha.

Folks, it's just an artistic reference of her undergarments for the developers' art department. Notice the complete lack of colour in the rest of that particular image.
I know this is the Internet, but come on guys, common sense? Artists can't suddenly abandon realistic anatomy and clothing just because the angle is awkward - would you prefer a giant black hole? :P
(Also her hair is far too short in that concept art and throws off the entire design.)

Wait, are we actually whining about game companies subjecting their female characters to suggestive behavior? Um, hello people, these are video games. It's basically how the industry lives.
But enough with the jokes, I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation for why they're showing off Kay's awesome pink shorts. Maybe if we could read the caption beside it the drawing would make more sense.
Plus, at least this drawing prevents the creepier fanboys' imaginations from going to far, to say the least.

Not at all. I myself wear shorts under my skirts and even inside my jeans. XD
I can see why they changed the design.
I actually find it weird when characters have no bangs and are left with shiny foreheads (no offense to Apollo or any other characters there). Her bangs are similar to Machi's, though.

Egads.. Sorry if I was being pushy with my opinion too, I was just being a little cheeky when I said I was 'pissing off the haters'
It just boggled my mind that people seemed to think Kay was a Mary Sue, and I didn't see any reason for that assessment personally :/ Having said that, everyone's free to like or dislike whoever the hell they like.

Kay Faraday is to Ace Attorney, as Dawn is to Pokemon for me. Theyre both the third female protagonist from their series who wears a miniskirt! They're both also my favorites!

Spreading your arms (the closest thing "wings" could be a metaphor of are clearly arms) isn't really that "wrong". Maybe it's just the word "spread"
IMO the "wrongest" quote of Kay is when she says to Edgeworth "Do that *schwing* thing you always do!" (or however she says it) but I think it appears that way only because I've seen Wayne's World (anyone who's watched it probably knows what I'm talking about :b).
Anyways, Kay is one of my favorite AA characters and most definitely the second best in AAI, right after ol' Miles. I was thinking of writing a fanfic in which he teams up with Phoenix to prove someone innocent but I have a really hard time figuring out how to exactly do this, seeing as how she doesn't appear to have relatives or anyone else who Phoenix could defend.
