This is precisely why I warmed up to him. Initially he seemed like just a clone of Godot (whom I, ahem, "heartily dislike"). Further into the game, though, it became clear that he was a far better man than Godot ever was. Sure, he jumped the gun a few times when trying to nab the killer, but I can't ignore it when he's actually got the manhood to apologize for wrongly suspecting Kay in case 5.
Still can be a bit annoying at times, but ultimately sincere and honorable.

He's annoying at first but in Case 5 he's sooooooooo incredibly awesome. <3 His "Not so fast!" is really close to how I imagine his voice. It's so cool when Edgeworth finally earns his trust. He is the best person to have on your side, for sure. And he's a total BAMF.

He's from Zheng Fa, which is an imaginary Asian country possibly just west of China.
While Zheng Fa is a fictional country, there's strong hint of it(to the point of being superfluous) being based on a Chinese nation, most likely PRC.
So yeah, basically he's a "closet Chinese"(though due to choice of the creators of the game) that's not the stereotypical kungfu-fighter spotting a traditional Chinese costume.
He's my fav character for various reason:
- Manliness and coolness,though perhaps Tyrell Badd ranks top in these aspects.
- The way he treats his subordinates
- When he makes apologies in Case 5, this says alot about his character and personality.
- Lastly, his moments of awesomeness:
Hopefully he appears again in future games as well.
