IF not, then home32, i'll need edgeworth atmey & fawles then. Kudo if you have time. :keiko:

BTW if you need a beta tester, i have sproadic amounts of off time and can test parts of it for you, KSA. :yogi:

I found most of comaster's stuff, so I can be a lazy jerk-off about it and just give you these. :redd:

Edit: Also, at some point I wanna tackle Lance Amano. :edgy:

Thanks!!!! (hugs) now i can work! I'll be sure to post this when i'm done! lunchtime scripting @school, here i come!

And i want to f****n kill that guy, too! :grey:

BTW i need to know how to do the murmuring crowd thing (with the cross court view)... tutorial isn't clear on that... :meekins:

Your welcome, do you need a whole script for Kudo or can you handle that?

Also, to do the crowd thing, use this code:
Code:
runscript("pw_showcourtroomoverview");
loadandplaysfx("sfx-crowddismay.wav",0);
wait(180);
runscript("pw_hidecourtroomoverview");

Obviously isn't all the code, but you get the idea. :keylady:

What do you mean it doesn't work? It's working for me.

Just so nobody else tries: All characters from Phoenix Wright:Ace Attorney to Apollo Justice are done. If you need them, either wait for 1.2, which includes all of them, search in this thread, or ask KSA or any of the 1.2 beta testers (me, Khat and um... forgot his/her name...).

OK, then. I need Edgeworth, Tigre, and Kudo, please...i haven't even started coding and its getting rather close to thursday...when this project is due. maybe i should stop procrastinating. :snackood:

BTW, Phoenix wright is so popular at a sister high school, that whenever the teachers put on a trial sim, they limit each side to 3 objections. I wonder why... :payne:

EDIT: Also, how do i use the PWlib packer/builder exe? it didn't come with an explanation...

Off-topic, but in PW:AA, the penalty limit is 5 objections, not 3...

Right now I'm not in my computer, but I'll pack them later and post them here. Of course, modified to work with 1.1 (the "pw_char" is changed ti "pw_chartitle" for Multi-Character support for 1.2, which 1.1 doesn't recognize).

could you actually send them to nichd03@gmail.com plz?

EDIT: i need them today so i can work on my project! sorry for any uncessesarry rudeness, but i'm getting kinda desperate...por favor, yo necesito las pinturas. voy a me mato si no recibir lo que necesito! (bows to show respect, bows 2 more times to clear up whether or not respect has been shown. bows a last time to apologize for any unnecessary bowing (and, being american, i have exhausted my spanish speaking abilities.))

and about the objections thing, the teachers got tired (circa 2004) :yuusaku: of hearing their students repeatedly yell "OBJECTION" 5 trillion times a minute. :karma: hence the innacurate limit.

And i have 2 PWlib questions: how do i get the evidence to show on the little box that appears to the side? and howdo i pack my games into an .exe?

Replying to the questions:

1) There is no official to .exe converter. They will never be supported as they kill pwlib 1.2's updater. There was a to .exe converted, but it was abandonned (due to issues with Windows Vista).

2) To show the evidence/profile on the "flying box", you need to:
setvar([pw_evidtoshowinbox],id); //id = texture id of the evidence or profile
runscript("pw_showflyingevidboxleft"); // left for left, right for right.

To hide:
runscript("pw_hideflyingevidboxleft"); //left for left, right for right.

Ergh...KSA_Tech, DeMatador and I have told you what to do but since you want to do pointless coding, I will be stepping in. Here is Victor Kudo and Miles Edgeworth.

And since you didn't search for comaster's posts like we have been saying, he is Furio Tigre's files.

Hopefully that helps and sorry if this is offensive.

Um... I'm sorry, but YOU were the one that found my post with Kudo and Ini in it (no pun intended). How can you say "thinking he was already done"? It is done. It has been done for a while. A long one. I did it, I posted it, and YggdrasilSword used it for his fangame, which is playable. It's perfectly done, just that the link I posted (a long while ago, mind you) is broken. If Tap here hadn't posted them, I would have uploaded them to MediaFire too (I use it by default now, way better than Rapidshitare, and faster to upload than MegaUpload).

I was just going to post "just read the thread", but you were the one who posted the link to my thread, so I couldn't tell you to read what you wrote yourself.

Still, you were talking about "redoing it", when the only problem was a broken link. I was going to post a good link, but Tap beat me to the punch. Instead of thinking about redoing it, you could have just waited. There can't be such a rush for some characters that you can replace with other filler animations (say, if you don't have kudo, use Maya's animations, and when you get Kudo, you replace them).

It's okay, though. I was just trying to save you the trouble of redoing a character that has been already done and is working.

Anyway, enough ranting off-topic.

For the CRO sizes to be correct, run once:

The alternative size is the default one on 1.2.

You're doing Lance? Sweet.

Please spoiler tag that picture. You just spoiled Case 3 for me.

Well, I wouldn't say perfectly, since they are in the middle of the screen, but if they are moved a bit, they certainly do.

Again, sorry for DP, but...
KSA is there, or will there be, a jumptoscript that relies on random or chance? Because coding Lance's string pulls are painful.

Thanks to all you guys. I'll post the finished product up tomorrow!

It's short (just one court scene) but enjoyable!

There is no random jumptoscript, but on AIGE 0.9.800a has random number generation functions.

Hopefully that works thanks.
Also, is there any easier way to code 70 frames? Because this is hell... :zenitora:

Edit: Lance is almost done, I just gotta get some of the spoiler stuff done. Also, I still have no idea what to do for his stupid bow tie thing as it's completely randomly chosen in my eyes. :chinami:

There is no real easy way.

AIGE 800a supports the Animation Builder (just an easier way to calculate the frame positions) that makes the work a little easier.
There is the Gif to Animation command too, but it actually may generate bloated animations (a lot of repeated frames).

The best way is to control the animation frame per frame. The GIF tools imbued on 800a will make it quicker to complete.

I can generate the sheets from gifs if people need them when animation a character. DeMatador and Comaster used this to make the characters quickly when needed.

Just to calrify for people who wasn't here when i announced, AIGE 800a can (related to .gifs):
- Generate aligned sheets from a gif file
- Generate AHLSL Animation Code from a gif file.
- Generate the Animation directly (not recommended due to bloat) from a gif.

I'm going to make a "order-based" version of those functions so the developer will be able to write a small "order file" that will allow control of which frames to be used from the gif.

Ugh, I have all the sheet work, it's just that I gotta show the positions for 70 sprites on one sheet. :yuusaku:
Another quick question, how do you make a frame last forever? Right now I just make the frames 9999999999999999999999999999 but if there's an official way...

Set the number of repeations of the animation to 1:

setanimationrepeations("animation name",1);

The number of repeations can be any positive number larger then 0.

First, AIGE 0.9.800a isn't the version you have, Home32. It's the AIGE version that comes with PWLib 1.2. Just so you know.
Second, why would you need a random script jumper to code an animation? I really don't get it.
And third, a piece of advice: don't use all of the GIF's frames. Be creative, so that the animation uses less frames, and does the same. It's also helpful to cut the sheets, but it's a bit risky with positions if you don't have a good software editing software, or don't know how tu use it properly.

An example: Most talking or blinking GIFs have around 10 or maybe sometimes even 20 frames. I use three. Blinking while talking is never used (no characters who talk for a long time without pausing have their eyes open, since Oldbag closes them while she rants), so, for blinking, you just need the closed-eyes frame, the mid-open-eyes frame, and the open-eyes frame. And for the talking, the closed mouth one, the mid-open-mouth one (it's usually the one where the character seems to be saying "oh"), and the open mouth one (where the character seems to be saying "ah" with their mouth wide open).
For both, you code 4 frames, and do this:
Blinking: 1) open eyes (time: around 200); 2) mid-closed eyes (time: I suggest 9); 3) closed eyes (time: same than mid-closed); 4) mid-cosed eyes again, using the same coordinates than 2) (time: same than before).
Talking: 1) closed mouth (time: 8-9); 2) mid-open mouth (time: same than before); 3) wide open mouth (time: same than before); 4) mid-open mouth again, using the same coordinates than 2) (time: same than before).
So, you end up using 3 frames instead of, say, 20.

Most animations that don't have movement, that is, they just have blinking and talking animations, can be resumed in just 3 frames in the sheet, 4 in the code (with the 4th one using the same coordinates than the 2nd one). For the rest, I suggest coding all frames, unless you realized a lot of them repeat themselves. I don't think there's an animation that really uses 70 frames...

First of all, if you can find a midway point in this to cut, I will MARRY YOU.

Second, the reason I want a random is so that I can splice these animations together as their used in the same way.
Look at all the frames with him playing with his little bowtie thing, and you'll see what I mean.
