I like the concept of anthropomorphic countries a lot. I haven't read all the comic stripes, though, just 'cos I find so tiring reading stuff on a computer screen ^^U

And Italy is ♥, even if I can't help wondering why his hair is red. I mean, Italian people are not famous for having red hair. xD;

I've been reading the Hetalia manga, but I'm just so confused over how to read them properly! I've tried left to right, right to left, top to bottom, bottom to top.... Consequently, I don't have much of a handle on the story, but I'm loving it so far. I could eat little Italy for breakfast <3 And I'm totally in love with Japan and Britain too ^_^

This sounds like an interesting series. I might check out the manga first, since I haven't been able to find episodes of the anime.

Have you guys heard the full version of Mein Gott yet?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBIukRTSlCw

LOVE. Prussia singing voice is...eh...but the music is freaking AWESOME.

Also, I'm still angry about how we have no clue what the plot is yet...and it comes out in two months. XD

ALSO ALSO, if you don't know yet, there are rumors going around of TokyoPop having licensed the manga. It was on Amazon, but there's nothing on the TokyoPop site yet. So this would mean us English-speakers would have the anime AND the manga to look forward to by the end of the year...O_O

Must be true if it started as a rumor, because Anime News Network's already listed an article on it.

OH, and is it really true that the anime name's been changed to Hetalia: World Series?

Ooh, ANN--I'll trust ANN.

And yea, the series title has changed. No one knows why, though...I mean, I thought that if they were going to change the name, they certainly would have done it WAY before now. :yogi:

It is an amazing show! I also recommend to you to read the manga, it's random but cool as well.

My favourate character has to be Germany; can't help but feel sorry for him as he hates Italy so much....but Italy is his only friend. :sadshoe:

The article for Hetalia on Wikipedia say that it was changed to accommodate the growing cast, or something like that. In other words, IT'S NOT ALL JUST ABOUT WARFARE AND PASTA ANYMORE. XD

That is a really odd thing to be reminded of :udgy: But anyway...Hetalia: Axis Powers is a way better title as it's more accurate. The series' protagonists are the axis powers of the Second World War.

That's what it reminded me of, too. But, if one thinks about it a little, the series may not just revolve mostly around the Axis, but more mostly (haha) around Italy (North Italy, to be exact). After all, it was his name that was joined with "hetare" to make "hetalia"

"hetare" + "Italia (Italy)" = "Hetalia"

Ah, I got an update on the Hetalia movie; It's supposed to be the first animated appearance of the character Iceland, and there's a rumor floating around that Prussia's going to be the main character. Oh, and the teaser trailer's been released on a fan disk and can now be found on Youtube.

Hold on, if she's a state, then would that mean that America had kids? And that Prussia (most likely) was chasing her around?

Well I remember a few comics that showed Japan's prefectures as people. I'm not sure if that means that they were Japan's children though. XD

God, I love the movie trailer. But I feel that, as epic as it was, it didn't give a SLIVER of information at ALL. XD I can't believe the movie is so close...and yet we don't even know a general plot outline. I mean, come ON~

I suppose the reason for the title change makes sense. Considering how many more characters are being introduced...like this week's episode has Turkey in it. :DDDDDDD PFFFFT FINALLY

I know it's only been 15 days since the last post, but......

We've got English voices for some Hetalia characters now!!
Updated daily for easier fangirling. XD

Russia's VA makes me laugh, America's VA is alright (Santos in Case Closed?), Greece's VA is....... AHAHAHAHA, and KYOUYA'S PLAYING FRANCE!

And it also appears that the main VAs for RomeoXJuliet are back in another classic pairing; Okay, I lied about that. But Holy Roman Empire and Chibitalia have their VAs announced. (Chiba in Case Closed and Vi Graythorne in Case Closed)

This show is so awesome. I'm at episode 5-6 I think, and I have to tell you, this is the first anime I've laughed out loud at in a long time.

Knowing about the WW1-WW2 history and stuff makes it even funnier XD

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade here, but I'm probably one of the few who hates this series.

It's a nice and silly "o japan" concept, but the execution is just.....god. I watched the first few episodes and regretted ever doing so.

Unfunny drivel, characters just made for the sake of yaoi fangirls going "omg im parin up countries im so silly lol"

I can see WHY this series is so popular, but the execution is so frustratingly bad and cliche'd that I rank it up there as the worst of all time.

Don't mind this rant though, just wanted to get this off my chest for a while. Carry on.

It's alright if you don't like it or hate it. (That's actually the semi-same scenario with me, only I hate Naruto. Don't hurt me for it. ;>-<;) It's understandable that people won't like it because of how it's executed. (Executed?) It gets annoying, though, all the yaoi pairings.

I think Hetalia's cute and the art style is adorable but I dunno, I just can't follow the storyline. Is there a storyline? Also some of the characters look pretty similiar so I get 'em mixed up :3
