It's been far too long since I've done sprite edits, but with a new computer, I feel inspired and renewed.

My first edit in a while, Gumshoe Pointing, made for OniXera's fangame Daring Detective: Dick Gumshoe.

Woah, nice! I think I can figure out the sprites it came from, but it's still very smooth!

The only area I might think about is the face, to make it look a bit more determined, but it looks great as it does now. That should be everything needed to make him an attorney!...right?

I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

I tried his angry face, but it didn't turn out too good.

It was my first shot at it, and I didn't like the head. I was able to get the arm done right from this though.

Oh boy, is that a .jpg? The sprite is actually quite okay, it's solidly done, but you have to save it as a .png! Jpgs have a compression that's fatal to pixel-exact work.

Actually it was saved as a gif. I understand the dangers of doing it as a jpg (my first sprite...ugh) The errors is mostly likely with my editing with Image Ready. I'll fix that problem and re-upload it.

I've had some bad experiences with gifs, use PNG unless you REALLY need animation.
Also, have you looked at the feedback I already gave for this on the Gumshoe thread? :edgeworth:

You mean the position of Gumshoe's body compared to Edgeworth's when he's pointing? Yes. It does look a little off compared to the Edgeworth sprite. But since Gumshoe will be in court. I think it will be okay.
