This video contains part of the guide of FF9, this is part 109! In his guide for this game, he also has guides for some of the other FF games. :ack:

Useless, you could just use a site like gamefaqs or look up a online guide instead of having to use a video guide,

I mean, I can see that being useful in a couple of instances, but only a couple (like if there is a secret item and only one place to click to get it).

So you want to put faith in a video guide then a online guide?

Well if the video guide actually shows me where the stupid item is and where to stand, and the online text guide is "Examine the third statue on the left, but stand (drawing with / + and other wierd symbols) her and click in this direction.

But usually most guides accomplish the same thing, and that is helping you beat the game, honestly the video guide sucks because as far as I can tell it has no audio commentary to help you though the trouble spots, you basically have to play exactly like he did in order to beat the game.

I saw something similar to this, but it was a play through of Earthbound. But it appeared to be less a guide and more just someone recording themselves playing through a game.
Play the text adventure where you control the action, like this user:
At any rate, this situation keeps getting weirder all the time. What will you do now?

It might not be useful, but it certainly does bring back memories. :minuki:

If you havn't played the game, just watch the entire playthrough on youtube. Free passive gaming! Whoo! :karma:

I don't know, DarkKefka does good FF guides. No sphere grids mainly. He puts in text for trouble spots, adn helps out occasionally in the description box.

I agree. DarkKefka is the only guy I will watch when it comes to stuff like this. And he does such a good job on his vids too, and seems to be able to do pretty much the impossible on games as well. Love how he kicks Dark Aeon butt in a No Sphere Grid game in FFX. Rikku rules!

I watch his videos too, only because they are fun to watch. He is pretty good at them.

I was poking fun at the fact you watch 1/2 the game, both my brother and myself fell asleep during one of Xenosaga's long cutscenes :yogi: , the gameplay is alot of fun and the story is really cool....but....it...takes...so...long...to....get......anywhere :ack:

Isn't that what you do when playing the game?

No, wait, when you play it, you have to suffer from the incredibly stupid battle system... sometimes.

THE HELL?!
Has this generation gotten too lazy to freakin' READ!?
(You know who you are!)

I understand a few snippets of video info (y'know, Tips n' Tricks, interesting strategies, etc.), but for the ENTIRE GAME?!

Heck, I hardly ever have the opportunity to play RPGs. I have to thank my siblings for that....they pretty much play it for me.
I learn from their mistakes, and give them pointers.
They put up with the gameplay flaws, and I get to watch a good show, both on and offscreen (it's been a while since someone threw their controller in frustration!).

Seriously, though. Take the time to read the guides, no matter where you get 'em.
Then again, you should try to get through it w/o one, if possible.
