How have I missed this thread up till now!? I love Trauma Center! I have New Blood in Japanese, UtK and UtK2. I really love the New Blood OST, and the awesome Wii graphics don't hurt either, but I prefer the UtK art style - it was so weird for me seeing how Derek and Angie (and especially Cybil) looked in UtK2. I prefer GUILT to Stigma to Neo-GUILT (must be weird, saying you prefer a strain of disease XD). But man, Cardia was frickin' easy compared to some of those awful HOW MANY PATIENTS CAN YOU CURE IN 5 MINUTES 8D operations before.

XD Thank gawd someone revived this topic... I finished Second Opinion and New Blood a LOOOONG time ago, yet I only just bought and beat UTK2 like a month ago. EMILIOOOOOO! And then Trauma Team is coming out soon... Who else absolutely HATES the graphics in the TT screen shots? Seriously, the blood looks like pink jelly splotches and the tumors look like giant jewels jammed into the patient's organ.

Yes, I've finally beat Trauma Center New Blood! Now time for those pesky, but fun X-Operations!

I like that about Trauma Center... :lana:

I mean, in every game after UtK the aneurysms looked like prawns and the blood vessels wiggled and the glass looked like... um... giant jewels jammed into the patient's organ. But I like that. All the organs' ambient colours are very relaxing.

Did you do any co-op operations? If it took you less than about five years I might hate you forever XD

Did anyone else have trouble with the Wiimote when placing the bones back in place in, like, the very first operation? I had to twist my arm so much just to get another "Miss" when the stupid puzzle wasn't put together...

Lol, I got the game during New Year's, and I didn't even play Co-Op. I personally think Co-Op is too easy, unless you do hard mode. I hated the bones with the Wiimote, it's so hard to adjust them without your hand shacking like crazy. XD

EDIT: Was the game even out for 5 years? :franny:

No, no. I'm not talking about Trauma CENTER. I loved the graphics in all of the games after UTK. What I'm talking about is the spin-off they're making, Trauma Team.

This screenshot. Look at it. You will see what I mean by pink jelly and jewels.

They should've just stuck with the Trauma Center style, but improve upon it, instead of making it look like plastic.

Yeah, but they also showed gameplay footage and a TON of screenshots. The finished product's graphics WILL look like this. XP Still gunna get the game, no matter how crappy it looks though...

I really hope they don't stick with this art style. I kinda like the comic-book sequences they had in the trailer, but...THAT'S JELLY. Even the UtK blood was more believable than this.

The ironic thing is they said they wanted to make this game more "realistic" than the other games. XD Sure, the gameplay is a bit more reasonable, but seriously THE PATIENT LOOKS LIKE THE GUY FROM THE OPERATION BOARDGAME, ONLY MORE IN SHAPE AND HAS GUM AND JEWELERY STUCK ON HIS CHEST.

I lol'd :redd:

Maybe at some points they'll introduce an Operation-boardgame-style "minigame", where you must pick out something with the forceps WITHOUT. TOUCHING. ANYTHI- Oh, wait. Bythos. Nevermind.

Anyway, this thread needs conversation. What is everyone's favourite/most hated/hardest/etc. GUILT/Stigma/Neo-GUILT?

Hardest: The GUILT were easily the hardest. Triti and Paraskevi were horribly difficult for me, as well as the UTK2 mutation of Kyriaki. Also Bythos, and basically every guilt that has those shadow-wound things (hermatocoles, or whatever). Except Sige.
I think Sige is adorable. It's hyperactive, the way it bounces everywhere. You have to smear gel on it to calm it down. And I found it absolutely hilarious when

GUILT:
Favourite (well none of them REALLY) But I guess it's Kyraki because it's the easiest.

Most Hated: (well pretty much all of them REALLY) But I'd have to say Triti. Grr I mean you take off one spike it multiplies to like a gajirrizillion pieces. GRR. :gregory:

As for Stigma/ Neo-Guilt, I haven't played either UTK 2 or NB yet so I can't say.

My most and least favorite GUILT/Stigma/Neo-GUILT.

GUILT:
My favorite is Kyriaki. Unless you face the UTK 2 version. I hated how the Mother Kyriaki lay eggs.
My least favorite is Savato. Well maybe not the first time you face him, but when you face him the second time he was a tough one. It was hard to fight him off while trying to laser the smaller ones, cut the web and keep your vitals up.

Stigma:
My favorite Stigma is Ops. It may not be the easiest for me, but it was a really fun one to play.
My least would be Brachion. This guy is not hard, but it just bugs me when I have to face this, very annoying to keep pinching the arms and do the other stuff.

Neo-GUILT:
My favorite is Bythos. I usually have a lot of fun with this one, and trying to avoid the poison/green circles was pretty fun.
My least favorite is Nous. I don't know why I don't like it, but I just didn't like it.

If anyone's interested, there are like over 50 screenshots now and TONS of gameplay footage. =D I liked Trauma Center's original style, but Trauma Team look pretty fun to play, despite the PLASTIC GUM AND JEWEL GRAPHICS.

Whoa...That actually looks really cool, although Endoscopy seriously looks like some kinda treasure hunt with jewels in a cave and even a minimap XD

This shows the Forensics part of Trauma Team. There was one part in the video that stuck out to me - "Whenever you find out a piece of important information, it will be saved as a card. Once you gather multiple cards you can combine them in a chain of reasoning to make a new piece of information".

LOGIC, ANYONE?

I took a look at the gameplay footage of forensics, and I'm just gonna love that part.

Yes, that one part looked like logic, could she be Edgey's sister?
That part just reminds me of AAI very much, can't wait to play that part.

The other fields look amazing, sure it has terrible blood, but I think it will be worth it.

I'm getting excited over this game.

And yeah, the whole Forensics thing is quite similar to AA/AAI....
The investigation part made me half expect Ema to pop out of nowhere holding her luminol and shout "LET'S GO BITCHES! SCIENCE AWAITS!!!"
Plus the whole Card/Logic thing. And the questions reminded me of a mix of Logic and Hotel Dusk end question thing.

? I got it very easily in my local GAME and I've seen it around a lot more than the first Under the Knife. Then again, I did manage to get hold of the American version of Trace Memory there so maybe my GAME store is special :3

If you're talking about the original UtK, then I always just spammed the antibiotic gel without suturing and constantly kept everything lasered to get the whole thing done without needing to move to another organ. I haven't played much of SO, so...

A bunch of Trauma Team reviews are out now, and they're all pretty positive. The one big common complaint seems to be that Endoscopy's controls are a bit poor.

I started playing trauma center some time ago, I got stuck in an operation.
Then a little game came and I started playing it, it was called "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney"
But now, I'm playing TC: UtK again, I'm operating an emo girl who wants to live now.

C'mon, where's the hype for Trauma Team!? It comes out in 22 days! Plus, we have TONS of gameplay footage, info from the developers of the game, and some random, but awesome videos. Oh, and has anyone else noticed that the official Japanese site was more focussed on the story aspect of the game, while the English site shows more about the gameplay? XP I wish it was the other way around. I find the story to be more important in video games...

Personally, I really want Trauma Team, but I also really want Mario Galaxy 2. Plus a new MacBook Pro, Adobe CS5, and I've been talked into getting Metroid Prime Trilogy. Then there's some programming books I've had my eye on. I'm looking at good $3,200 hole in my wallet. And well, naturally I'm going to have to stifle my spending.

The Trauma Team website updated with another new featurette, this time about the story...

Spoiler: Trauma Team
Looks like once you finish all six doctors, "The Seventh Chapter" is unlocked and has you controlling all the doctors to face a massive outbreak. Called it! But still awesome.

Yes, I hope the story is written well in this game. The gameplay itself looks amazing, and if the story is really good, it'll just make an epic game.

I watched the trailer.

'Each of the six doctors of Trauma Team has a chapter dedicated to them: a full set of operations and events that present that character's personal storyline. The game doesn't end when you finish all six chapters, however... That's when the seventh and final chapter begins.

There are some instances in the earlier chapters in which the doctor's stories cross as they interact with one another, but they will truly come together in the seventh chapter as they face their most formidable challenge yet. A new disease, virulent and extremely deadly, has begun to sweep across the eatern seabord of North America. How did it start? Can it be stopped? It's up to CR-S01, Maria, Hank, Tomoe, Gabriel, Naomi-and you, the player-to find the answers. The ultimate battle to save lives begins...'

Game got, beaten. I have an american friend who works at Atlus and they had some spare copies of the games (the ones they sent out to game specialist websites) who sent me a copy. It's not in a case though, just a CD slipcover.

PROOF I BEAT THE GAME
When it comes out officially, listen to the chorus in the credits song. Are these the lyrics?

I am gonna be here right beside you
I'm the one who will never leave you
I will go on throughout the darker storms
I am gonna be the one you can count on
I'm the one who will hold onto you
We've got the power to turn dark to light
I am gonna be the one

And the ending will make the weak cry. Mainly for CR-S01.

Hah, lucky you then!

How was it? Easy? Hard? Too short? Too long? All of the above?

Eh. It depends. Fairly long, if you count losses. I always play on the easiest difficulty setting just cause.

Endoscopy just pissed me off though. :nick:
First response is fun. Sometimes I kill patients on purpose.
Surgery gets ridiculously long sometimes. Especcially CRS01-3 (Uninvited Guest).
Diagnosis and Forensics are my favourite because I like over my head than my hands.
Orthopedics... ...no comments. Hank is fucking hilarious.

About how many episodes are each character's chapter? I'm guessing Surgery/First Response/Endoscopy/Orthopedics have more than Diagnostics/Forensics since each episode is so much shorter.
