NOTICE; This RP is closed because I have no idea where the other RP-ers went, and it kinda died over the summer. So, yeah, closed. Unless someone wants to give good reason for reopening it?

Welcome to "Where In the World is Kaito Kid?"! We hope you enjoy it here, and have fun RP-ing here at Court Records!

*~ATTENTION~*
This is a free-for-all RP, which means those who care to join may freely join, so long as you send over a profile of your character in PMs (so as to not clog up the forum with who you are.) Also, please obey all RP rules set down by the mods so we won't have any problems. ALSO; The story of this RP will change depending on the flow of the Magic Kaito TV anime now playing, so right now it's (Part 1). So, make sure you check up here for updates on the current part and TV episode.
*Now accepting characters for RP! (EDIT; No powers! MK takes place in real life, and though Kaito Kid uses magic in his heists, that does not make him a superhero or something like that!)*

For years, a grand thief known as Kaito Kid has been stealing most of the world's greatest and rarest gems. He has been spotted in Japan, America, and even England! And now, after years of hiding, he's come back, and what's worse; He's now stealing items that are of lesser value!! So, what are we to do, you say? Simple.. We find him, we find the missing item!! So, LET'S GET STARTED!

Name: Alice Enma

Job: Detective
Appearence: She has long straight black hair that reached her hips.Her eyes are an icy blue colours that she hides under a long fringe.Alice wears a slim black trench coat over a white shirt,blue waistcoat and black skinny jeans.Despite her Asian features,her skin is rather pale and she can be seen with blue Skullcandy headphones most of the time.For jewlery,she wears a silver choker that she rarely takes off.

Personality: Alice is calm in the most awkward situations and even if she gets angry,she hides it well.Her attitude is hard to read sometimes and she doesn't smile so often.Her loyalty is strong and she is protective.She has a weakness for chocolate and mysteries.Being bored is the worst thing in the world to her.She tends to quote things from Alice in Wonderland and has a childish streak sometimes.

Name: Subaru "Balalaika" Arisugawa
Age; 16
Height: 5'1"
Job: Student/Stage Performer/Junior detective at her father's agency
Appearance: Brown hair put up into a bun and hidden under a hat, dark blue eyes with a hint of green. She wears a red and black hoodie with light blue pants with holes in the knees, and black Converse-style sneakers. Always wears back-band headphones around her neck without a cord, and has a small ribcage necklace around her neck as well.

Personality; Random and silent most of the time, very shy, but has an explosive temper that borders near sadistic and psychotic. Has a slight fear of being hugged or held by people larger than her. Weaknesses are children's toys and kid books. Can always be seen with a bag of peach rings or a Sunkist in hand. Tends to zone out sometimes.

Name: Heinel Storms
Age:24
Height: 5'8
Job: Forensics Scientist, and also may take place for detectives.
Appearance: Short snow white hair, and his eyes are crimson red.He wears a plain white t-shirt with a lab coat that he wears usually, and baggy pants that are black.Nobody knows where he comes from, but they say he looks a bit asian, and is muscular, but it doesn't show.Also wears a slightly large ring around his middle finger thats silver and has a white opal in it.At home he is often seen wearing purple DJ headphones.He wears sneakers that he reinforced with steel so he can kick people.

Personality: People say that his appearance takes after his last name, and guess that his personality does too, but is quite nice when you meet him. When he was in school, whenever the teacher had to pick somebody to do something, like be the tagger in P.E or something, he wore an emotionless face and didn't make noise, oftenly getting himself picked. He carries this with him, so you can rarely tell his emotions. He is loyal, and would not tell a lie. Weakness is emotional moments and alchohol. He drinks alot of alchohol, but never gets drunk oddly. What he fears the most is to be framed of a crime. What he wants most is to get framed into a crime and use logic to get his way out.He fights sometimes when having a serious argument. He may not fight serious, but when he does, you better run. It's like one of those DON'T TASE ME BRO! moments except that he doesn't have a taser. He also can be just like a defense attorney and a prosecuter.

''Heeh~?'' Alice hummed as she read the newspaper rested across her lap.She's heard of thieves going after silly things that are not even worth anything but...an AVATAR? With a raised eyebrow,Alice sipped her tea in a lady-like manner before setting the cup down on the afe's table.She swatted at her long fringe slightly,her mysterious orbs showing for a split second.As she sat in the far corner of the small cafe,her interest grew about this thief.''Hmm...curiouser and curiouser'' she mumbled,a slight European accent as she spoke.

Subaru stared up at the monitor on the building as it broadcasted its' main headline :"Kaito Kid Takes To the Internet; Child's Avatar Stolen". "How does that guy manage to steal an avatar? First, it's rare gems, then it's priceless artifacts, now avis?? How do you manage that," she sighed as she walked over to a cafe by the monitor building. She had heard about Kid from her father who ran his own detective agency, but her father was never called on to help with cases involving Kid. "Maybe Kid's just being a nuisance again, like with the clock tower business." Subaru ordered a slice of pie at the counter, paid for it, and sat down at a booth near a couple and a girl with long black hair. "Whatever he's doing, it's obviously just a stunt for something, but what is that something, I wonder." She shrugged and started eating her slice of pie.

Alice could hear coversations from other people due to her annoyingly good hearing.She reached for the headphones hung loosely around her neck and slid them up to cover her ears.Music started drowning out the chit-chat about personal business,movies,school and stuff on the news.Her head tilted back as she thought about what to do next.Kaito Kid has certainly caught her interest.Despite her looks,Alice was a detective.Her blue eyes flickered open and people fortunate enough to notice her eyes found their jaws dropping slightly.It was nothing new to her though...

"Mmmmm..... cheesecake! :3," Subaru said as she finished off her pie slice. She shifted through her bag as she got out a few spirals documented on theft cases that Kid was involved in. "I guess the real question is why Kaito Kid's even going after a online avatar and how he could steal it. Or maybe it's 'What's even going on in his head?'" She laughed as she opened a bag of peach rings and kept reading. "How can he even elude so many detectives? I bet the list goes on forever.... Saguru Hakuba, Mace Fuller, Jimmy Kudo..... Why is Richard Moore on the list?" Subaru laughed again as she ate a peach ring. She glanced over at a TV in the cafe as it also broadcasted what the monitor building had just shown.

Alice found herself peering over the shoulder of another girl who caught her interest.Her music put on a loop for past few minutes was getting on her nerves.At the supprised reaction she got from the girl,Alice withdrew slightly and made sure her fringe blocked her eyes.''Sorry...I'm currently interested in that thief you see'' she said casualy and scratched her head before showing a badge that was hooked onto her belt ''Would it be alright for me to take a look at that file you have there?''

"Oh, sure." Subaru picked up the spiral and handed it to the girl. "The file lists a lot of the cases that Kid's been involved in. There was even a murder he was suspected of committing. Maybe you could find something of use in there! If you like, I could let you borrow it for a few days." She turned back around to the other spirals and looked at one file about his appearances. "He even knows other languages, even English and French. I wouldn't be surprised if he knew Russian, too." She pulled out another peach ring and popped it into her mouth, and chewed while thinking about the new case.

"It wasn't him, of course," Subaru said, "but he was still at the crime scene by the time the case was solved." She took a small look at the file that Alice sat down and closed it. "Just ask me if you ever need to see a file on him. I'm Subaru Arisugawa, nice to meet you!" Subaru nodded and shook Alice's hand.

"Oh, yeah, it's from my grandmother's name," Subaru said. "When she divorced from her husband, she took her maiden name again, then my dad got married to Mom and so we ended up with 'Arisugawa'. I think 'Alice' is a cute name for you." She took another peach ring out of the bag and popped it into her mouth. "Always here with info to help! To be honest, I don't really know why I have so much info on him," she sighed. "I guess it's just because he seemed interesting to me."

"So true..," sighed Subaru as Alice sat down at her table. "Well, the avatar theft is very strange, I'll give it that, but it's pretty much impossible. But, like most of Kid's heists, he finds a way to do it, and he does it well." Subaru reached down to pull out another peach ring, but saw that the bag was empty, so she threw away the first bag, pulled out another bag from her bookbag, and opened it. "Want a peach ring?"

She tilted her head as her phone started buzzing in her pocket. "Guess I have a message..," she said as she pulled it out and looked at it. "Oh my....... Well, that's cool." Subaru shut her phone and put it back in her pocket. "Hey, do you want to come over to my dad's agency? He said he has something special to share."

"Good," said Subaru as she smiled, "Because we've got something big on our hands! And we're here!" She stood in front of a black building with white lettering that said 'Arisugawa Agency'. Subaru opened the front door and let herself in. "Here we go," she said as she held the door open for Alice.

"You're welcome," Subaru said as she let the door close behind Alice. The lights in the main office area were on, and a fan was blowing cool air into the room. Boxes of sweets and papers were stacked near a desk close to a set of stairs. "I wonder where he is in all this.." She pulled out a box of sweets and opened it. "You want one while we wait for Dad?"

''Boss! Where are you?! There's a mountain of paperwork to do!'' a guy's voice yelled.
''...I've finished my share actually'' Alice anwsered coolly ''The rest must be your's'' there was a silence of defeat.''I'm quite busy...try not to desturb me without a good reason'' she told her colleague and hung up with a sigh.

''Yes,he's one of the two guys I share my office with'' Alice nodded and fiddled with her fringe ''They're twin brothers...The goofball that called me just now is the younger of the two.I'm not their boss or anything but,that boy seems to find it fitting'' she shrugged.Though she calls him like he's a child,Alice is actually two years younger than the twins.

"Maybe it's because you seem like the type that's born to be a boss," Subaru said as she turned on an overhead light in the room. She continued digging around in the box as the front door to the office opened and a man walked in with a bag over his shoulder.

"Yes, there is," Subaru said as she sifted around int the box. When Alice poked her, she twitched and looked up, and saw the man that had walked in. "Ah! Hello, sir! Can I help you with anything?"

The man walked further into the room towards Subaru and Alice and sat his stuff down next to the desk. "Yes, I'm looking for a Mr. Alain Arisugawa. Is he here right now?" The man looked as though he'd come from a law firm or a business office, with a dark blue suit and a black tie around the collar of a white formal shirt.

"Ah, him. He's not here right now, but he should be back soon from where-ever he's at," Subaru said as she sat the box on the table. If you're willing to wait for him, I could put on some tea or some coffee."

"Yes, I'll wait for him, but no coffee or tea. A beer I could go for, though," the man said as he sat down over at a couch opposite the desk.

"Hm, okay," Subaru sighed as she went went to the fridge, opened it and got a beer out, shut it, and then handed it over to the man as a car pulled up in front of the agency and shut off. "Yay, Dad's here!"

Alice hid her eyes under her fringe with a tilt of her head when the man came closer.He sure looked like a person from some law firm.Right now,Alice didn't want anyone from that line of work to recognise her.After all,she did have an eventful run-in with a lawyer a while back.

''Oh...'' Alice turned to see the car and went over to stand next to Subaru.She was acting like a teenager than an adult detective but,her childish ways were subtle and not that noticible.

As Subaru's dad walk out of the car and up to the agency, Subaru sat the box that she was digging in up on the desk. She went into the kitchen and got out another Sunkist and sat in the chair behind the desk as he came in.

"I'm home, Subu," her father said, using one of many nicknames he had made for Subaru due to them spending more time together than he did with her sibling. "I see we have company tonight."

"Yeah, the guy on the couch came here for you. The girl's my friend," Subaru replied, nodding to Alice.

"I see," he replied back. "Well, sir, may I ask what you wish to talk to me about?"

The man straightened up and sat his beer on the coffee table in front of the couch. "Yes, Mr. Arisugawa, I wanted to talk to you about something important. Rumor has it you're involved in a certain recent case that half the police force is focused on. Is it true?"

Subu? Alice muffled a giggle and straightened her lips despite it aching afterwards.Her immediate reaction to cute stuff is a giggle or something unlike her usual cool self.When the other guest spoke,her attention was drawn to him.Could the case he mentioned be the one Subaru and herself were drawn to?Alice knew better than to believe in coincidences.Anything could happen.
