Pretty good, but has a lot of flaws. It's very anticlimactic and short, but better than I thought.

I WANT THOSE T_T

They look like really awesome action figures - they don't look chubby or stupid or weird, like some action figures do.

Oh, I especially want Nine, Ten and Eleven >_>

I never realised it before, but Eleven's clothes are almost identical to Two's!

I want them too! Oh, and Matt Smith did based his look on the Second Doctor, especially the bow-tie. :wellington:

The Lodger
Spoiler:
Pretty good. Nothing spectacular, but a nice insight into how the Doctor would act, living on Earth. Shame that wasn't delved into a bit deeper.
The whole time machine explanation was rushed too... bah. Oh well.
The good points outweighed the bad here, though. 7.5/10

As for next week...
There was a trickster. Or a goblin. Or a warrior. The most feared being in all of the cosmos. There was no reasoning with it... one day it would just appear in the sky and tear down your world.
The Pandorica is opening.

The Lodger: 7/10

Spoiler:
Certainly a good episode. I particually liked the headbutting scene! That was very funny. And yet another sighting of the previous Doctors, most notably the 1st Doctor. (4th sighting). I'm starting to think these are becoming relevent. But I digress. The episode did have some bad points, though. I wasn't a fan of the resolution of the end- the "love saved it" conclusion doesn't work for me. Matt Smith really shone as a comedy actor tonight, (Airkissing FTW!) and was quite surprised at how decent James Corden turned out to be. The plot though was good at best.

Still, good episode, the "Fun" episode for this season over with. :edgy:

As for the finale...

Damn. I'm not the biggest fan of the Slitheen. To me, they are a very dark concept, but realized too comically for my liking. Still, under the Moff, they should be better.

Yeah. It's like "Oh cool, they're like an intergalactic mafia! ...who fart and have a stupid laugh. Oh dear."
And the Chelonians are the most popular novel-only monster, judging from the fan reaction I've seen, so that's all cool.

Also notice the parallels between City of Death and the Lodger? Those time loops, and that ship looked an awful lot like Scaroth's ship... could it have belonged to a Jagaroth?

Ahh, Cold Blood was the second part :P

Yes! At first I thought she was an older Amy and was like ...:| They look so similar!

AND BY GOD SHE IS STUPID. *facepalm* SERIOUSLY.

I don't think I liked these episodes too much. The end of Cold Blood was...woah. Cool, but not cool.
I want to see the Van Gogh ep already! I'm feeling like I did after watching Victory of the Drink Dispensers Daleks, ie. 'OK, that was ...not so good. Let's get to the awesome stuff already...'

Clearly I didn't care very much about this 2 part arc either. It was terrible, and rather offensive. 0_0;;;

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought they looked similar! XD I hope they didn't cast her because of that. How confusing. Yeah she was a very unsympathetic character, and I didn't like how they basically forgave her for what she did. If an alien race did the same to the humans, the Doctor would be up in arms about it. It's rather prejudiced. Ambrose actually made me want the human race to be annihilate for once. )<

The next 2 episodes are very good! Look forward to it! C: YAY <3 But yeah the Cold Blood eps are very very WTF THIS IS NOT WHAT DW SHOULD BE SOB.

Just for a lgh, here's quotes from a Doctor Who forum that I occasionally lurk on. Censored for swearage.

Quote:
Where's Chibnall. I'm gonna f*****g kill him.

Quote:
God, that was bad. Chris Chibnall should be paid not to write. He f****d up "Torchwood," he f****d up "Law and Order," and now his take on the Silurians makes "Warriors of the Deep" look like a f*****g classic.

Quote:
Not only can Chibnall not write, he also rips his ideas off others without even bothering to slightly alter them.

Quote:
I hope Chibnall never writes for Doctor Who again.

And finally...

Quote:
Homo Reptilia.

But I love Torchwood, although not the plot of it, just the characters, and the pansexuality of the dazzling and delicious John Barrowman who is the only man able to turn me straight. Too bad he isn't. D: But yes I hate him for what he did to TW and DW. /SOB

Edit: LOL @ quotes. Homo reptiles ftw. Although it was more like homoincestuous reptiles. I like them more than those damned warm blooded scale-less things that crawl on the surface of the earth. D< Die you humans, die. D< Or at least just the humans in those 2 eps.

Now that I've calmed down, favourite parts...
Spoiler:
The beginning with Bracewell, Churchill, Van Gogh and Liz Ten. Awesome. Oh and cartoon River Song. "Bye!". Made me lol.

CYBERMAN TENTICLE RAPE! I mean... umm... the attack of the Cybermen parts. Eheh. Eheh. Yeah.

The Doctor wrote:
OOH! OOH! LOOK AT ME! I'M A TARGET! =D

The Romans = Autons reveal. Didn't see it coming, stupidly.

Christopher Ryan's return! What a guy.

I also loved the ending/cliffhanger. I just loved how Amy's theme beautifully played over everything... TARDIS exploding... Amy dying... Doctor getting strapped into the cage... the monsters looking on... nice use of contrast there. And then all the stars explode! Nice.

And finally, the fact we still don't know who the real big bad is. Usually revealed by Episode 12. Nope. Only heard his laugh when the TARDIS monitor cracked... which was gloriously eerie.

Spoiler:
I completely agree with this. All my favourite parts too! I personally think the Big Bad is the Dream Lord again. The way the Daleks went on about the fact that only the Doctor could fly the TARDIS (Despite how wrong that is) gave me a feeling it might be him. Judging by the voice, it’s either Davros or the Dream Lord.

Not Davros like some people are suggesting, though. Too soon after Journey's End IMO.
