Similar to the bird situations (my condolences to the poor things), I once saw a hedgehog get run over by a car in front of my eyes. :beef:
And to make things worse, the driver didn't even make an effort to very slightly drive around the hedgehog (something he could have easily done). In fact, he did the opposite and drove nearer to the kerb, towards it. Like he was trying to kill it!

I once walked past a local road full of dead, run-over cats.

I spent 12 minutes praying in silence...

I live in California, actually. =P

It was in some rural town when I saw it, the neighborhood looked pretty rundown too. I was only passing because there was supposed to be some county fair/festival thing nearby.

I have a few stories, actually. And a terrible memory, so when I remember something else, I'll be sure to share.

The most recent one, I was on a walk with my family. Mind you, I'm the oldest of 5 kids, while the others are between 13-4. Originally, it was supposed to be just me and her, but, of course, my sisters decide to put on some shoes. And what does Mum decide? EVERYONE should go! Not a good idea, Mum, not a good idea.
Why is this? Because on our way back home, what do we find? Squirrels. Horny "Happy" squirrels, if you catch my drift. :gant:
I busted out laughing, simply because of the pure irony.

Go ahead and giggle at that before I share more.

*Chuckles* Yeah, I know where you're coming from. I had to spend a weekday with my sister a while back, who currently works at a pre-school. That day, though, they had a field trip and I had to tag along. As they headed home, we saw a very... similar sight. But the real killer was that I'm pretty sure ALL of the children saw it. I shudder to think what was going on in the heads of the parents after the kids told them what they 'saw.'

Our first year class went on a hike last year. We found a dead sheep in the mountains, maggots provided. I heard from the next group that went that the sheep was still there, but I think they said it had moved.

I had a rather disgusting experience in the mountains as well. I had gone with a group to a lake in Tennessee, alright? Well, when we got there, we found two dead raccoons in one of the cabins, one in the main room and one on one of the beds. When we looked more into it, it turned out the raccoons had gotten into the cabin and into a box of rat poison that was in the cabin, left by the owner. Luckily though, there were no 'scavengers' on them yet.

One of the teachers who was on the bus, (I was with my sister in her car, behind the bus. By the time we noticed, we were moving too fast to get a good look.) actually managed to get a picture, then sent it to all of the school staff.

Imagining generic teachers reacting to that definitely just made my day.

AND HEY, SCARRING MEMORY, THANKS FOR SHOWING UP, MAN.
I don't remember when this was, just that it was sometime earlier this year. But before I share, I need to give some background info:
My family jokes around, a LOT. Barely 5 minutes go by without someone laughing about something.
So this fine day, my mum and I are standing in the kitchen, while my dad's in the basement, doing... whatever. We hear this creaking noise from downstairs, and my mum laughs a bit, earning an I-think-you're-crazy look from me. So she explains (and I quote), "It sounds like old people going at it!," and then makes a creaky noise like earlier. I'm staring at her like she's nuts, and then shake my head and walk away.
BUT THAT WASN'T IT, OH NO, NO, NO.

I wake up at around 2 in the morning, and try to go back to sleep, when..
Creak, creak, creak.
Huh? :mila:
Creak, creak, creak.
Oh... Oh God.
Two sudden realizations pop into my poor mind and jolt me awake.
1: My parents. My parents were...
Oh God.
I did not need to know that.
2: MY PARENTS ARE OFFICIALLY OLD PEOPLE.

According to my sister, most of them just laughed at it, but the few that didn't apparently didn't really complain or anything about a peer sending a photo of squirrel-lovin'. Weird.

HOLD IT! (again) If you would kindly look slightly upward, you would see that there is no trace of this 'Mr. Anderson' to be found on my person. Secondly, your first post said, and I quote, 'Doest thow have any proof?' Do you see any gender keywords? I don't. And even if you said HER later, the point is that your original query was sexually ambiguous, thus causing this confusion that we are now arguing about. And just why are you comparing music storage devices to this situation?

OBJECTION! You have me on the first part. Matrix references usually do end up like this. Second, I didnt use gender-specific keywords until later, this is true, but isnt it plausible that I may know the defendant, Ms. "Athena von Karma", from outside of this site, and using the words "Doest" and "thow" may be words that may be part of an inside joke or scheme? And in case it wasnt well-known, The "I-pod" I spoke of is an I-pod touch, which has web browsing. And the websites with mobile layout are different on mobile than the regular site. CR is an example

HOLD IT! (Again again) While I do applaud your Matrix reference, however out of place, and respect your ability to fess up, WHY did you withhold that information? This is a public forum, broad topics such as these are no place for inside jokes OR schemes. And no, I did not know of the principles behind web-site layout on mobile devices. This entire trial may need to be reevaluated if you keep witholding important information like your relation with the defendant.

(Why are we going on this tangent again?)
