I know your putting a lot of effort in to getting it done but do you perhaps have a deadline?
I'm eager to test a good fanmade game as most others I played were :sadshoe: when it came to dialogue and plot. :javado:

Well, my part has been done for a week or two now. I'm just expecting Paper's reply to my PM, so we can ensemble the Demo and release it.

But, as he's said more than once, he does have a busy schedule, so we'll all have to be patient, as he was with me when my part took that long to finish.

So, as Paper has said, no deadlines. Right now we're doing as much as life allows us to. Believe me, if it were up to Paper, you would all be playing the Demo right now (to be honest, if it really were up to him, you'd be playing the final game). I know that he really wants this game to be out, as much as you want to play it. Life gets in the way, and there's nothing we can do.

So as I said, patience :)

Well, we've been waiting for so long, doesn't hurt to wait a bit more.

Besides, it's better to wait and play the game rather than not playing it at all.
But yes, you guys are putting a lot of effort into the making of this, you're doing great.

First of all, phoenix phan, the Edit button's there to avoid double posts.
And second, there is a way to port it into DS, since there's a Nintendo DS casemaker in the works, but this DS casemaker's future is uncertain right now (no current release, and not a very stable or active development). And the current schedule is releasing the whole first case (or full game, not sure) for PWLib, and then, when the case/game's finished, port it over to the DS, if the casemaker's capable enough by then.

I'm saying that if all conditions are properly given, a DS port is part of Papermario's plans, yes.

Long: As long as it takes for a stable DS casemaker to be available and for the first case/game (again, not really sure about this) to be complete.
Difficult: Not sure, there still isn't a DS casemaker available, so I wouldn't be able to tell you how hard it is.

Well, I hope to answer all of them now:
-I know because there's a development thread for that particular casemaker, LuAA, where the developer of the casemaker posts updates. What I mean when I say it's not available is that it still hasn't been released to the public.
-As for when one might be available, whenever B12Core (LuAA's developer) can get it done and released for the community.
-There are some test scripts, but I didn't read them. In any case, the DS conversion, if any, will be somebody else's responsibility, not mine, so I'm not worrying on that part, really.

Right now, just text. If voice-acting is in Papermario's plans, I don't know.

Hmm because i saw a website that said something about aditions for voice acting the characters in Remnants of the Past. But im not sure if thats still happining? I think it said that they would talk for the important parts. Speaking of Paper, were is he? Obviously he would know the answer.

So what are you in charge of doing? :maya:

If this game is between JFA and T&T, why in the video does it say maya is the kurain master? She didn't become master untill Bridge to the Turnabout.

It seems we have a lot of questions!

Sorry I disappeared on you, everyone. I had a long trip to Alberta for a school project and just returned two days ago. Ever since I got back, I've been up to my neck in university registrations...

Anyways, as an answer to those questions; Yes, I do plan on a DS port if LuAA is polished enough by then. And yes, I have the support of several powerful voice actors for ROTP. They will be included in the game.

Hopefully things calm down soon so I can continue with ROTP; it's really getting to me how I can't find the time for y'all;)

Because not everyone likes the idea of a fully extensive voice-acting Ace Attorney game. Either that, or they just want the plain, old and loved past five installments of AA that didn't have extensive voice acting.

My friend, I was in a majority of cities: Edmonton, Alberta, Red Deer, Lacombe, Banff, and the little towns in between those major ones. If you were in one of those, then dang! We missed out on a meet-up op...

And summer means nothing to me :larry: things are just as busy... I'll be doing my best to find some time though.

And also, for the voice acting, let it be known that I do enjoy an Ace Attorney without voice acting. This was an idea to try and spice up the 1,000,000 lines of text you're forced to read. I'll be releasing both versions together; one with voice acting, another without.

Thanks for your support!

Voice-acting wise, there's actually no need for two versions, Paper. It can be dealt with with a couple of simple commands, or maybe even a volume system. We can talk about it whenever you can.

Also, Paper, have you received my PM about sending me the other parts of the Demo and that "surprise" I mentioned a while back? Right now, it's the only way for the Demo to progress, so, as soon as you can, please do reply. Thanks :)

That's good to hear, saves us tons of coding.

As for your PM, I finally got to read it today, and it's quite interesting. Feel free to progress with the demo using your surprise.

Thanks:)

Hahaha, I live in Calgary. Which is pretty much close to everywhere you went. But it would have been cool to actually meet in person.

Oh, two versions? That could work. I'll be very interested to see how the voice acting works out.

Yea, however if you only use the voices for the important parts (such as "Objection!) it doesnt get old at all. The voices are ment to add excitement and a fun twist to the boring text. Talk about getting old after a while. Ok, duh you cant here the music, but turning the volume off is definately an option. Not to mention the people who dont want voices probably think they get a little annoying, and most who think along those lines find the music a little tiresome to.

AAARRRRGGHHH!!!! i'm dying to know what the surprise is!!! atleast what type of surprise!!!!! I mean, is it about the gameplay, storyline, characters? who knows?!!)

Wow, papermario, you sure are buisy! Im impressed that you kept with this project, all things considered.

Pretty much.
The only voice acting I like in AA games are the good 'ol Objection!, Hold it's!, etc.
