Durarara!!

So, the first season is about half way done, and I'm loving every second of it. Anyone else here watch it?
My favorite character has to be Mikado, with Izaya and Shizuo tied for a *very* close second.

So, what are your thoughts on the series or its characters?

i think it's clever how the original author (sorry, i don't know their name!) made it with so many lead characters, just like they did in Baccano (which is also pretty awesome, too).
Shizzy-chan is my favourite, with his...unusual personality, but Celty is fantasic as a character. I love how they give so much emotion to her even though she hasn't a head.

But OH. Things really are picking up now. I can't wait until the trio learn about each other...I mean, they already have ideas about one or the other (and I think Kida's the only one to know about both Anri AND Mikado), but the scene from volume 3 I want to see animated could be coming very soon...I hope.

I do! :P Although, Celty is all Shinra's but the interaction between Shizuo and Celty is just too adorable sometimes. I loved the scene in which both sit on her motorbike and Shizuo starts to jump up and down while saying "Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill!'" xD
My favorite characters are Shizuo, Celty and... Kadota. He's pretty much the most normal and sanest guy in the whole cast.

Oh and in other news, the series finale is on Thursday (tomorrow!). The latest episode sure had a big cliffhanger, meh... I'm so excited about how everything's going to end though and that the trio finally speak to each other.... Oh and Kida turned out to be pretty badass the last few episodes...

Though I've gotta admit, the anime seems to make more sense to me.
Plus the action-scenes are awesome, like how Heiwajima always chases and throws stuff at Izaya.
It's more fun in action than in the manga.

From what I've watched, English dubs are awful. I won't ruin my Durarara!! experience with a poor dub (just playing safe, no offense to dub-lovers).

The only problem with the voice actors I have is Crispin Freeman. He sounds too...boxer-like. And why does the voice remind me of Star Wars for some reason?

Has anyone had a look at the Durarara!! video game? It supposedly came out last month, but I haven't heard a thing of it anywhere...just the info on the Japanese site (damn for not knowing Japanese well enough yet!).

There are already several videos floating on youtube with Freeman voicing a few scenes with/of Shizuo, I think. I can't watch any of these videos though because they are banned in my country =/ (thanks a lot Bandai!)

Can't watch the videos over here, either. What's the point, exactly?! It's not even the actual show, just some background stuff that's on the videos, so why ban it from the world?
Maybe some brave fan-translator group will rise up to this challenge of translating the game? Persona 2's translations got great feedback, and I hear Atlus wants to consult the makers sometime...
