I say Trucy! I found her adorable and a great successor to Maya; the other two just didn't do it for me as much! Apollo was okay, but I feel like the poor guy didn't get enough development in his own game, being overshadowed by Phoenix the entire time. Maybe if he gets sequel(s) though...!

And Klavier was a nice change from the must-beat-you-down-in-court-at-all-costs prosecutors, but still felt lackluster. I liked the rift between him and Kristoph though, and that relationship in general. But it could've been done better. (Story of Apollo's game, IMO, good but could've been done better.)

Umm...I don't actually get this.

Klavier is just such a horrible character. You said it yourself, he's too perfect >_> First of all, it's just not realistic. And second, it makes him... boring. When Edgeworth used every dirty trick in the book, or Manfred didn't let you get a word in, or Franziska fought tooth and nail for a guilty verdict, it made it really fulfilling when you finally beat them. When the only reason you beat Klavier is because he let you and he helped you, it doesn't feel like anything was accomplished. He cares about the truth, and getting Edgeworth to that point was the entire conflict in his story. When Klavier is already there... there's no more room for growth. They could have done something interesting when Kristoph tried to pull the "blood is thicker than water" card in 4-4, but nope, Klavier, being the perfect little goody two-shoes he is, went ahead and got his brother convicted anyway, since it was the truth. It wasn't even "Oh, I was thinking about it, but sorry" or "Oh, I'm tempted but... I just can't" it was "I have never for one moment faltered in my value on the truth, so I'm just gonna put you in jail without a second thought, since you are really a murderer!" If the villain was bad enough, then having the prosecutor be a 'good' prosecutor that you team up with to take down the villain is fine, like in 2-4*. Of course, in 2-4, you were still trying to prove Matt innocent and Edgeworth was trying to prove him guilty. Also, even though Kristoph was this evil man that got Phoenix disbarred and everything, he was still already convicted. If you lost 4-4, Kristoph was still going to rot in jail; the only thing that would've changed is that Vera would've been sent to jail, and the compassion and care for her does not outweigh the badness of Klavier's character. (And before you say that it also proved Phoenix didn't forge evidence, Vera's testimony would've been enough to prove Kristoph got the forgery, even if it wouldn't be enough to prove that he committed the murder.) So... yeah. Klavier is an unrealistic, boring character with no room for growth that takes away most of the satisfaction of beating the game. (I hate Klavier almost as much as I hate 2-4 :nick:

I like all three characters, they have their own special charms. I don't think we've seen the real side of Klavier yet.

A-HA...! I think I got it!
The word confusing me was the which when it was suposed to be who for me to understand it correctly.
Right! Let's try again:

Klavier...Well...BP actually said everything ang more that I was going to.
Before release he seem'd interesting, but hes just too...and sorry 'bout this:
"Oh sorry, I didn't hear you while being soooooooo daaaamn awesome! *tooths shine*"
The point I lost most respect of him was when he gave udge he's own autograph.
Meh...

Trucy...in my taste she's too much like Maya 2.0,
except she seems to be bit wiser.
However, she also seems more childish on some moments, but...
Well...Pretty much and OK character, but not really anything new.

Apollo on the other hand...Well in my taste he wins.
He is young and wants to prove himself, though it never happened thanks to Phoenix.
Sure he's still a total greenhorn, but Phoenix wasn't marvellous either in the first game.
And he didn't have anyone to solve the case for him before he could even enter the courtroom...
C'mon AJ 2...Give i'm a change and let the first victim be Nick.
...Or something less dramatic.

Apollo's also red.

...Oh, how I love conversations that go off a tangent about stepladders. *totally what drove me to post here*

Choosing between these three characters is so difficult! They're all so likable in their own ways.

Because I'm stumped, I'm almost tempted to break the tie by going with Trucy just because of her Team affiliation.
She's also got Mr. Hat (and extreme cuteness) on her side.

But Apollo's got awesome hair, AND Chords of Steel (Chords of Steel forever~!).

BUT, Klavier also has awesome hair, AND rockin' music, AND spiffy German catchphrases.

...Klavier = most cool character quirks = Gavvinner?
Especially because I'd imagine him to be on Team Stepladder, just for the opportunity to tease Apollo...

Nah, okay, I'll be serious... Let me really think about it... :think-think-think:

I'd have to say Apollo has the most potential as a character. Despite some claims of him being too generic or too much like Phoenix (not voiced on this thread, but I've heard them elsewhere; even I felt that way for a while), he really is unique, and really is fun to play as. His ability to Perceive does wonders for the enjoyment of the gameplay. I also enjoy the way he generally acts in court, and I admire his "passionate heart burning red." I look forward to anything and everything more that GS5(?) *fingers crossed* may bring to his character. Not to mention, his poses are adorable (see thinking smiley above -- I totally do that in real life all the time now!), and his design/looks are great.

~~...And we need him; you can't have awesome stepladder debates without at least one Team Ladder member on the scene!~~
