In Global Studies, my team won even though the girls cheated! They gave each other answers to Jeopardy when they weren't supposed to! And we scraped by, getting one out of three questions , until Final Jeopardy, when we were awesome and bet all or nothing, and me, being awesome, got it right, winning it for our team.

In Earth Science, we're on precipitation. Not groundwater, not the water cycle. Precipitation. Only snow, hail, and rain.

In Chemistry we've been talking about how batteries work and energy and such. I'm not sure because it's hard for me to follow at times :/ My grade in the class is a D, almost hitting an F... Barely getting by in this class :(

Batteries? Think of it like this: Cathode has a "t", which looks like a "+", and cathodes are positive. Anode has an "n", negative starts with an "n", and anodes are negative.

Besides, at least you don't have to figure out your own procedure for determining the partial pressure of butane in lab.

Oh! Before I forget, BEST DAY EVER. I wore sweatpants to school (a Friday tradition I started this year). 1st period math, we just played with balloons. 2nd/3rd period AP Chem, we blew up balloons, marshmallows, and shaving cream by decreasing the pressure in an enclosed space (which increases the volume; by returning the pressure to normal, everything shrinks back down); we froze flowers, marshmallows, balloons, rubber balls, and Cheetos in liquid nitrogen. We broke the flowers and balls, the balloons re-inflated themselves, and we ate the Cheetos, which caused smoke to fly out our mouths & noses. I couldn't eat mine because it got stuck to my tongue and cheeks on the way in, so about half-way through chewing, I had to spit it out. My teeth hurt after that. OH, and we made Dippin' Dots with it, too! Once everything was finished, we just played with some more balloons. 4th period study hall, I got to skip; 5th period Select Chorus, we got to just mess around because our teacher's daughter just got out of school. 6th period French, I read a little of Le Petit Prince, then watched some videos. 7th pd. English, we watched Hamlet, 8th pd. US History, we just got our old papers back, and 9th pd. Chorus, we had solo auditions, which took up the whole class. It was AWESOME. :will:

What's the difference between Select Chorus and Chorus? And how long are your periods if you can have nine in one day?

That's... kinda sad. Our class already learned about that stuff in the beginning of the year. Are you ONLY learning about snow, hail and rain? What about virga, showers, or blizzards? Those are important too. I think that virga's pretty cool. We also learned about the water cycle in the beginning of the year.

I HAS AN A HONOR ROLL! I almost always get A Honor Rolls. Last year I got one B in Language Arts, and I still got an A Honor Roll. This year they're not doing Perfect Attendance Awards. I got perfect attendance last year for every quarter, but before that I used to almost always get sick. When I was in Kindergarten I missed a field trip to a pumpkin patch because I was sick. =(

I got Honor Roll pretty much up until I started going to middle school (6th grade). After that I was considered unworthy. The ONLY award I got then was when I had the highest grade in my World History class (In which I was the only one who actually did their work lulz).

And high school honor roll? Forget it.

Shoot, in college right now I have, like, a 2.0 GPA (... Don't you dare call me stupid. I got stuck with a lot of hard classes ._.).

I'm supposed to be doing an outline for the DBQ I wrote on Friday, but instead I'm (obviously) on CR and watching Tom and Jerry.
And filipino, nope. Just rain, snow, and hail.
And I made the honor role all throughout middle school, except for one quarter in seventh grade. The teacher lost my homework, which caused me to get an eighty-four. FFFFFFUUUUUUU-

Now it's pokemon. Buck looks a whole shitload like a monkey. And the new theme song is slow, which is against the pokemon tradition.

With my art school (yeah, I know, technically not a real school, but anyway) I visited Düsseldorf yesterday. We went to three museums (of which I can't remember the names) and it was pretty cool. Especially the second one where we saw some Picasso, Magritte, Dali, and other big names. At lunch time we got one hour to find ourselves some lunch, and wound up at a kebab place. Lucky for us there was a Dutch couple in front of us who explained to us how to ask for something (in a polite way)... It's kind of scary how the guards in the museums follow you around like you're some sort of criminal...
I did have a good time, Germany's a nice place.

I love copy/paste. I just finished my Global essay outline in less than twenty minutes, thanks to copy/paste, my essay being open in another window, and Turnabout Sisters Euro-Techno remixes. I feel complete.

That's nice, Steel Turnabout. So glad that you feel complete.

Right now I am patiently waiting for my photos that I took in Virginia to upload so that Costco can print them and my dad can pick them up and I can put them in my journal. As of right now I have to wait about 63 minutes for all of the photos to upload. *taps foot impatiently*

You have to audition for Select after a year of Chorus. Also, we get fancy clothes to wear at school concerts, and volunteer to sing around the community. Chorus is for anyone, and sings twice a year.

Classes are 40 minutes, with 4 in between to get to your next class.

I was supposed to get my report card on Thursday, but there's some weird new school policy, so long story short, I'll probably get them some time later this week if I'm lucky. Stupid school policies. >_<

Fortunately I already know all of my marks, which I'm pretty proud of. Aside from chemistry, in which I have an 88, all of my marks are above 90. Kinda sucks when the class you like the most is the class you do worst in, though...

Pictures are finally uploaded. Now I just have to wait for my mom to get off of work. Bleh.
I really should be working on my reflective journal, but I'm not in the mood. Or maybe I'm just too lazy...
I forgot when Thanksgiving break starts again... My mom wants me to be done with my Virginia project by Thanksgiving. Hopefully I can. *crosses-fingers*

College is gonna be awesome for you, when your departmental GPA is lower than your total GPA :gant:

Only 3 days of school this week, so I can go home again, yay! Also, finally a break that all my other friends have, so I'll get to see them for the first time in months! (Except yesterday I did go home to see my high school play to see all my friends in pit, so that was fun :D)

But bleh my super-long math hw is also super-hard T_T At least I can ask the grad students for help...

Also, one of the keys on my piccolo stopped working, so I have to go get that checked out =\

Oh, and I'm seriously toying with the idea of doing my senior thesis on video games :godot: (And not just in a "video games are cool so I'll just do them lol!! :D" way. In a "This topic perfectly ties together all the subjects I need to address in my thesis" way)

I'm about 90% sure this is going to happen to me. :gant:

If I may ask, what are the subjects you need for the essay? Now I'm thinking about all of the different reasons one would write an essay on video games.

Two days of school this week? Perfect.
Trying to find ways to make money so that I can pay for the data package for an iPhone that my mom's buying me in the summer? Sucks ass.
And next year, I've decided my electives. DDP 2 and Video Gaming. Fuck yes. New class added next year. My Intro COMP teacher told me about it. And we have a club called the video gaming club. FABULOUS.

Thesis. There's a big difference... That is, a great number of pages difference.

Anyway, it wouldn't be about video games per se, but the video game market. Video Game Market = economics + finance + applied/computation math (maybe) + east asian studies

Do what I do. Change all punctuation to size 14 in Word. It helps alot more than you would think.

Of course it would! Everything goes better than expected!.. Unless you're Nick.

Probably what we'll be doing. I actually have no clue what's gonna happen there, but it sounds intense. And DDP stands for Desgn, Drafting and Production. Basically it's like eight grade technology except you use Google Sketch-Up and attach fucking engines to the back of your egg car so that it goes OVER ONE HUNDERED M/PH ON A FIVE YARD TUBE!!!!

Dean's List is for apparently, only some high schools (I thought it was all :yuusaku: ). It is the highest academic distinction in high schools across North America that I have yet encountered.

The criteria differs from school to school. For most schools in my neighbourhood it means that one must have an overall academic average over 85%. At my school, one must also constitute the top 10% of the grade :redd: (based on ranking all of the averages of students). I know of another school that only places students with a 95% overall on the List. :eh?:

Well my estimation was way off, but nevertheless, at least I'll have something to brag about for tomorrow. And probably the rest of the week.

Lol. I think if in high school I'd take a class called "Video Games" no matter what it was, too xD

It turns out we'll be doing coding, creating video games, AND having video game tournaments. Unfortunately, the Guidance office doesn't know that we're planning this class. Ironic, innit?

Well no, but I don't see the Guidance office turning down anything educational. And this is coding. Shit's intense.

Just got off of the bus. Yeah, I get home at 5pm. It's sucks, since my school is kind of far away. The buses are let out of school at 4:10. My bus ride is about an hour long. It sucks. Now I have to type up my Virginia Journal, then work on my group board game project. And I forgot my book which had my reading log in it on the morning bus, I think. Hopefully I can get it tomorrow. *prays* Then I have to work on my Superstars so that I won't have to worry about it. I hate school. We just never seem to have enough projects or tests to do. We have a Social Studies test on how the Revolutionary War started, we have to write and type an entry to Letters About Literature, we have a board game on Ulysses due who knows when, and our Virginia Journal is due November 30. BLEH. At least I get to listen to music by Panic! At the Disco without anybody yelling at me for having my earphones in and my volume halfway. Listening to music helps me concentrate whenever I have schoolwork or projects to do. :keiko:

Edit: Fixed a grammar error in my post.
