Hey did you see that Special they did last year with the old-school and the new-school meetup? It was basically the 1990s version and the present version in an amazing cross-over TV Movie ^_^

It was EPIC.

I hope whatever they decide to do, it does the franchise justice. I was really enjoying the newer one they had a few years ago until they decided to do the "Fast Forward" crap.

Been reading the old Mirage comics myself as of late and I gotta say they are pretty good. Grew up on the 80s version and loved the campiness of it. As for the 2003 series, I didn't start watching it until recently and I gotta say it's pretty good so far. Only got into it after watching Turtles Forever, which to me, if they ended the franchise right then and there, it would have been very satisfying for me. I'm looking forward to the new series myself, I'm just hoping it brings something exciting and good to the table.

Just want to say too, I've always been fond of Raph. That hardcore personality of his and his short fuse really makes the action intense and at the same time, his character is fun to explore because you see his soft side too when it comes to caring about his bros, especially Mike.

I really loved the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It was just too awesome. Now I really wonder how the Nickelodeon one will turn out.

Go Donatello!

Well like Power Rangers they have to market TMNT to the current generation so...yeah.

I hated the Fast Forward saga myself. They were obviously trying to reinvent the TV series when they revived it in 2003 but they pushed too hard. The movie TMNT did a good job of bringing back fans of the original 80s show as well as the comics. Turtles Forever was basically TMNT's version of The Epic Forever Red Episode of Power Rangers. It brought fans of all the different Turtle Universes together =D

Speaking of Power Rangers: Anyone remember that Power RangersxTMNT Crossover (During the Power Rangers In Space Saga) they tried during the mid-90s? If not for the fact the Live Action Turtles storyline was epic fail it would have been epic xD

This. This forever.

I would watch some of the old VHS tapes as a kid when my mom brought me to Blockbuster to rent a movie, and that's what got me started on the franchise. The first live-action movie was okay, too. I was really exited when they announced the 2003 series, and I have to say it was pretty great. I stopped watching at Fast Forward, and never continued.

Although I have been wanting to read the comics...

Nickelodeon is gonna lose a lot of viewers. I just know it. Nobody wants Donny to have a Blade attached to his Stick. In all of the TMNT Series he has not had a Stick with blades on it. The reason is because the company of TMNT was keeping it real.

I'm not sure which market is to blame, but the international market I think is often cited in this one. Nunchaku (Nunchucks) were banned here and in the here UK, so they gave him the grappling hook as a replacement. At least we still got to call them Ninja Turtles. They got stuck with Hero Turtles for years.

I still never understood it myself though. Nunchaku were blunt instruments and were banned, yet the katanas and sais, bladed weapons, were okay to keep? They were always so inconsistent with the censorship back in the 90s.

Also, I'm fine with Don getting a blade, just as long as they don't screw up his character. I think the Bo is an interesting weapon, but to me, it was always the dullest out of the 4 turtle weapons for me. It's actually nice to see it getting an upgrade.

Yeah, that was always really ridiculous to me and my friends as well. At least he still had the Nunchaku in the films.

I still cannot picture Don with a blade attached to the Bo. Because basically Don's Bo is useful without a blade. It wouldn't trigger a detonation mine or bombs.
