Jean pointed at the old, worn road sign.
"Right there. Fort Scott, next right." He turned the van onto a dirt road. After driving for what seemed like another hour finally there was a left that turned into a generic ghost town.
"Here we are!" Jean said, "Fort Scott." He pulled into the middle of town when suddenly a loud bang from the front of the vehicle. Then the van stopped.

Meanwhile, the young psychic didn't notice it at first from the boredom of the drive, but ever since they made their way about halfway down the dirt road her sense was going off. Normally such things only happened when something was in the immediate room.
