Hello to all, this is Scent speaking. This is the official localization campaign for GK2. The campaign will consist on supporting the localization of the game; Gyakuten Kenji 2, by amassing the support of others. By doing so, you may:

Spoiler:
+ Support us via facebook.

+ Support us via twitter.

+ Support us via YouTube.

+ Support us via Tumblr.

+ Support us via MySpace.

+ Sign the petition.

+ Go to your nearest video game retailer, grab a copy of Ace Attorney Investigations Miles Edgeworth, and put it atop the counter (if the staff lets you).

+ Email Capcom of America.

+ Send a letter to Capcom of America.

+ Email major gaming news sites about the no-localization of Gyakuten Kenji 2.

I've subscribed to the YouTube page and made a channel comment.

I made a past video about this issue awhile ago...

Just ask and I'll post it here.

Also... let's turn this into the discussion about this not being localized shall we?

I'll start...

This may be all IMO, but...

This is the most foolish decision Capcom has EVER MADE.

They are now on the ROAD TO FAILURE.

I do support localization though...
Capcom has made the most idiotic decision ever... Well? What do you have to say for yourselves Capcom?

Well, the quotes around perhaps throws some doubt on it... :/

I'm going to support the game as much as I can. I've imported the japanese cartridge, (well, that doesn't make me special, a lot of people did that), and I've made it a point to get my friends into Ace Attorney. I've gotten at least 12 of my former skeptical friends into becoming pretty deep fans of the series, and I'm going to try to continue.

Signed the petition, btw, and joined all the facebook groups, lol.

However I'm not 100% sure of this.

By the way, you hit in right on the money with the word "blind", AAS4Life. It's a Let's Play based word for a first time play through with no prior knowledge of the game you are attempting.

I signed the petition and followed the Twitter account.

Anyways, hooray for 10,000 signatures, one can only hope that Capcom comes to their senses and localizes AAI2 if a "perhaps" is any indication.

They need to say more than that.

Admit you are being foolish fools and this was a decision made without taking a step back and looking further into what is going on.

Kind of like S&P's decision about the U.S.'s credit rating.

I suppose this would be the best place to say it. Sven from Capcom at Comic-Con said that they're "trying" to get AAI 2 out to us at the moment. It's still a question of which platform they want to put it on, but at least we're in a better place than a few months ago, when we just had from Capcom was a plain "no".

That's great news, but still it isn't a solid "yes".
But it's good to hear that.

Not good enough.

I'm not convinced they are trying to get off their current ROAD TO FAILURE.

Perhaps admitting their foolish mistake would help?

I think we all signed that petition as well. Anyone know how it's going? Is anyone listening to the tons of fans out there? Like, does anyone think that there's any hope of actually getting this localized? I'd sure like to think so...after all the work that people have put into petitioning and stuff.

Sorry I don't know.

All I know is that Capcom has slightly changed their stance when asked about AAI2 localization when they're at cons or whatever.

It's changed from a flat out no to a maybe.

It's still not a yes though.

The same question will be asked until they say yes.

I don't care how tired of hearing the question they are.

Don't worry, on this subject, I'm about to use every word of profanity I know. It's just so annoying. When there's a market for it in another country other than Japan and they know that they're gonna get soooo much money for it, why not do it? I feel like the results would definitely pay for all the costs during the project!

If that was the case, they would of course localize the game. But sadly they don't think that they'll get much revenue out of it.

I think there's quite an audience for this game, and I'd like to think that the all the money they make will cover all the hard work.
I mean, think about it. Every single person on this site, and hundreds maybe even thousands of other people who aren't on here who want it localized as well and are willing to fight for it? So with all of those numbers...multiply them by $35.00-40.00 :notes: . I think that's quite a lot of profit. Wouldn't you say? :bling-bling:

First of all that wouldn't be the raw profit, because it costs money to localize a game and these $35 per game don't go directly to Capcom anyway. Second "maybe even thousands of other people" aren't exactly a lot. Third do you really think that Capcom would just pass on huge profit, because they... want to piss off the fans? are crazy? don't want to stay in business? Really, they would localize it, if they expected huge profit.

I believe they should expect a huge profit from it because of all the support this is getting.

Also... BTW...

I have a YouTube account (AnimeDamage obviously) and I uploaded a new video officially announcing my Let's Play of Gyakuten Kenji 2/Ace Attorney Investigations 2 Fan Translation Version.

I also talked about a second thing I may Let's Play but that's irrelevant.
