Torque stepped out of the van with his shotgun fully assembled and strapped onto his back.

"I don't like how bullets were left out in the open, and I suggest if you guys plan on splitting up that one person has some way of defending yourself."

He paused and looked around.

"I have a feeling we might have something more than one little ghost to worry about."

"Ugh. Fine." Victoria replied, "Hey Jean, let's try the church. I have a feeling something's gonna be in there. That's not my sense talking, that's my intuition." She thought. "We saw some activity in the school, which was somewhere I thought wouldn't have any activity, but there was. The church was another place."

She though about what Torque had said, and went to her tool bag and pulled probably the biggest wrench ever. "Kay. I'm covered."

Aeria searched her pockets. "I don't think I have anything apart from probably the dullest knife ever which would probably have a hard time cutting bread..." she grumbled. She searched her pockets then her suitcase, but found no sign of anything she could use to inflict harm. She grumbled. Why, of all things, had she forgotten something to use for violence?

"Does anybody have any weapons that I could borrow?" she asked. She prayed somebody had. She could fight using her body, but she wasn't skilled at that kind of fighting.

"Well, a dull knife is something," Jean muttered, "Odds are weaponry will have to be improvised and procure on sight if we want something more than a dull knife. The wrench looks good though, and the shotgun..." Jean points at the weapon, looking for something to say.

"I'm going to assume no, but do you have rock salt rounds like in Supernatural?" He asked, "Just guessing, shotgun rounds won't effect ghosts. Other than that..."

"But yeah, Tori and I are going to go scout the church. You guys can decide how you're going to split up and take the graveyard and..." He looked at the other buildings, "The last group can take either the jail or the farmhouse."

Aeria took the mallet. Sure, it was heavy, but she didn't mind too much, it wasn't that bad.

"Wait, there's a jail here? Now there's somewhere that sounds fun too investigate," Aeria grinned. "I think I'll go to the jail instead. But no way in HELL am I going alone. Anyone want to come with me?" She glanced her eyes around the town and caught sight of the jail. It looked old and disused. She guessed it was probably full of ghosts.

"I'm willing to go just about anywhere," Argyle said. "As for weapons, I don't think they'd do much good." He shrugged. "I don't need one." Even if I had something, the ghost could probably turn it against me. "As it stands, Aeria needs a partner. If no one else volunteers, I'll go with her."

"Okay then!" Jean said, "Victoria and I go to the church, Aeria and Argyle go to the jail, and Ty and Torque go to either the graveyard or the farmhouse." He said, pausing as he looked at the last two.

"Ty, I don't know if I should feel sorry for you or be angry at you for being the lucky bastard who is with the guy who has the gun." With that he turned and offered his arm to Victoria as they made their way to the church.

"Okay then, I guess it's you and me for the jail then," Aeria said. "I wonder what we'll find inside. Probably a whole bunch of cobwebs and skeletons. What do you think?" She shivered at the thought of the skeletons. She wasn't a big fan of skeletal remains. She began walking towards the jail, clearing her mind of any thoughts regarding skeletons or rotting corpses. She was still wondering what they would find inside. Would she need to use the mallet?

"Well, of course there would be cobwebs, though I doubt there'd be skeletons," Argyle answered. "It's a jail, so I'm betting we'd see metal bars. Maybe there will be something written in blood, just to freak us out." He shrugged as if the thought was just an everyday thing for him as he walked with Aeria toward the jail. "I'd imagine the jail is the sort of place where there would be lots of paranormal activity, along with the graveyard. The jail would probably house the most vengeful of spirits. Hopefully, we won't be in any real danger."

"'Being with the guy with the gun?'" Tyray asked Jean, reaching into his jacket and pulling out his signature Colt Python .357, spinning it on his finger, Western style, and re-holstering it in his jacket. "I AM a guy with a gun!" Ty said laughing. "The smaller, easier concealed gun."

He turned to Torque. "Well I suppose we can check out that farmhouse first, and then the graveyard afterward."

Jean and Victoria entered the church. Askewed pews went from front to back. At the front was the altar and two candelabras. Victoria's sense gave a vibe of peace. The thing was still out there, in the back of her head, but it wasn't here.

Aeria and Argyle stepped into the jail. The place was covered in dust and cobwebs. The room is a small office with a desk and a combination safe. There is what appears to be a dilaptidated old courtroom with seating for six average adults. In the two cells, the walls were covered in fingernail scratchings and a handprint or two that looks like dried blood.

The farmhouse was surrounded by a wooden fence. The large barn door was closed. As for the actual house, it was a one story house.

Victoria looked around a bit, then sighed. "Welp. My intuition was wrong. It doesn't feel like anything is here." She turned around, and saw something, and yelled. "J-Jesus!!" when she was that it was a very large crucifix, she laughed. "Ha ha! It's just Jesus.... I'm going to get smited or something."

Tyray entered the fence and slid the huge barn door open. He was greeted with a slap in the face by a great musty odor.

"Hoooaaack, hack, ack" he coughed. "That was unexpected."

He looked inside. There were stalls on either side, and a door to the back.

As Aeria stepped into the jail, she was met with a cloud of dust, the stench of dried blood, and the smell of damp from the courtroom.

"Ugh, that is DISGUSTING," she complained. "And dusty- wait... Oh God, look. That has GOT to be scratches... from fingernails. And is that dried blood?" She leaned forwards to examine the scratches on the wall. She ran a fingertip down the scratches. She looked at her finger. Covered in dust. She wiped it on her jeans, making a mental note to wash her hands later. She looked at the handprint. It looked like dried blood, so she decided to keep away from it.

Jean brought up his hands in a defensive position as Victoria yelled, turning around to guard her. Once he realized what she had jumped at he sighed.

"Really Tori? First Holy Ghost puns and now this?" He facepalmed and shook his head, "You're practically sprinting to hell." He joked, taking a closer look at the crucifix. There was a large crack in it, wood rot or something he guessed.

"Hey, do crosses still protect from evil when they're broken?" He asked. Suddenly Victoria's sense spiked.

"Oh, so to unknowing sinners have made their way into this house of the Lord." A voice said up at the front of the church.

The stalls still reeked of rotting hey, not to mention the smell of the pig pen out back. There was a large workshop table with various rusted but still workable tools, ranging from hammers to pitchforks. There was a wooden ladder that looked like it could hold one person's weight leading up to the loft, which there was no clear view of from the ground.

Victoria gasped and clutched onto Jean's shirt, for the pain in her head was unbearable. Suddenly, the giant wrench fell to the floor as Victoria collapsed to the ground, holding onto her head. "J-Jean..." She said, weakly, "A-Ah!"

"Huh. I can't say I'm surprised at the condition of the place," Argyle said. "Hmmm...There's a safe here. Maybe if we can figure out the combination, it'll give us some clues as to what happened. Or, at least, who was here." He reached for the safe, hesitated, then walked toward the cells with the scratching and the bloody hand-prints. "These certainly add to the atmosphere, don't they?" Even though he sounded calm, he was paling. "I gotta admit, I don't like blood much when it's outside the body." He tore his eyes away from the cell and looked at Aeria instead. "What do you suppose happened here?"

"...I don't know," Aeria said, standing up. She walked over to the safe and entered a random combination, and attempted to open it. Fail. She growled.

"So, what should we do first?" she asked, looking around. What to do... There were so many things to look at, to investigate, so many strange-looking things, so many things. Too much of everything! She looked over at Argyle, wondering what he was thinking, wondering what he wanted to look at, what he wanted to do. Aeria bit her lip, deep in thought, thinking about his question. What DID happen here? Obviously, there were trials, people were held in the cells, but what else happened? Where did everyone go?

"Dammit," Jean muttered as Victoria fell over, "Come on girl, how are you going to be a good investigator if every time something comes up you're in pain. Come on girl." He grabbed the wrench off the ground and turned around to whatever it was that was there.

At the front of the church, behind the pulpit, was a tall, extremely skinny man in a priest's uniform, "What are you two here for? Service isn't until tomorrow morning."

Aeria, in her frustration, didn't realize when she knocked into the desk until an old pen rolled off the table and under the desk. Following it she noticed as it fell into a strange crack in the floorboards. A trap door maybe?

Jean's statement would have made Victoria furious if she wasn't in pain. She stood up and grabbed onto him. There was something strange about this guy, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Also, she thought about how she was gonna give Jean a piece of her mind later.

"Where the hell did you come from?" Jean asked, gripping the wrench tightly and raising it as a weapon. The priest looked down at him with a look of disdain.

"Tsk tsk tsk, using that language with a priest," He smiled, "You do know where yor kind go, don't you?" Suddenly the candelabras lit up in a hellish amount of fire, and various worn bibles in the pews began flying back and forth across the room at high speeds, "Sinners in this town? Repent or your lives will end within this ghost town!"

Victoria grabbed on tighter to Jean. The activity was causing the pain to increase. She had to do something to make it stop. "How do you know we are sinners?" She yelled, "I was raised going to church every Sunday morning and every Wednesday night! And We cannot repent if you kill us! Besides, one of the ten commandments states not to murder! I don't care if you are a ghost, you can't call yourself a priest if you don't follow the rules our lord set for us!"

"Looks like the little lady has a problem with a little fire and brimstone," the priest said, "Let's see what we can do abou that." The building began to shake a little, dust coming off of the rafters. Jean put the wrench in his pocket and picked up Victoria bridal style.

"I think we should get out of here!" He yelled, kicking open the door and running out, the priest's cackle trailing behind him.

"I'm not sure where to start," Argyle answered. It was then he noticed the pen roll off and under the desk. "I suppose we might as well move that pen back." He walked over to the desk and dropped into a crouch, reaching under to grab the old pen. He grabbed it, but not before feeling the crack in the floorboards. "Hmmm...Strange." He pulled the pen out and put it back on the desk. "I think we should start by moving this desk." Careful not to knock anything else off it, he grabbed the desk and slowly pushed it back, letting the area under it be shown. "How about that?"

As they got got further away, Victoria's pain faded. Once she was able to, she wiggled out of Jean's arms. She was upset with at the moment. "You are such a jerk!" She yelled, "It's not my fault I get a splitting head ache when a ghost is near! I would LIKE to control that, but I can't!" She grabbed her wrench and pointed it at him, her eyes beginning to tear up. "And I am a good investigator! Who's idea it was to go to the church? MINE! Okay?"

Tyray walked toward the ladder, looked up, and was unable to see the top clearly.

Ty brushed off the thought and proceded to climb up the ladde. Upon reaching the top, he looked down and called toTorque, "Alright! Your turn!"

Victoria looked offended. "Why would I hurt you?" she asked, her voice thick with hurt, "You really think that I would want to hurt you?" The tears started to roll down her cheeks. "I thought... I thought... Just, Forget it! I hate you!" She bolted to the van and locked herself inside and proceeded to cry her eyes out.

"You were the one waving a wrench in my face," Jean yelled as Victoria walked to the van. He stared at her as she locked herself in the van. When he calmed down a little he realized what he had done.

"Dammit." He slammed his fist into the church wall. He would have to make it up to her later.

Tyray set the filter on his camera to night vision and brightened his flashlight. He examined the loft of the barn. It was pitch black up there, so dark that one could almost feel it. He kept calm, looking around with the flashlight.

There were crates and bags all over. He picked up a crowbar and opened up one of the crates. It was filled with seeds. "Probably chicken feed or something." He continued searching, hoping to find something interesting.

It was quiet. The wavelength of Ty's microphone remained almost flat, with bursts of sound from his searching.
