Sylvester handed Migoto the Conductor and some earphones as Tambor cut around the wound to make space for the extraction. The doctor also began picking out small, metal shards from the bloody pulp surrounding the bullet wound.

Chase gritted his teeth and bit down as hard as he could, stifling a scream. The pain was excrutiating, but he willed himself to be quiet and sit still. His other arm pounded and gripped the bed like a talon.

Migoto put in the headphones and set the conductor away from her. The last thing she wanted was to zap herself. Or Wendy. Definitely not Wendy. She was just too cute and cuddly. Migoto smiled As she wiggled a piece of string and watched little Wendy attack it. So cute.

The wound began to really ache as the doctor extracted the main body of the bullet with a pair of forceps (the bullet dragging against the bloody pulp) and placed the stained lump on a tray, held in Sylvester's stationary arms. The doctor took a medical wipe and sprayed a blue disinfectant upon it. "You know that disinfectant spray that really stings? Goid news? This isn't it? Bad news? It's worse. Really bad news? I have to wipe it on the wound. Sorry." He did so, being careful not to cause too much friction.

Chase let out a muffled yell into the rag as the wipe was applied. He spat the rag out and cursed. "What the hell is in that?! Poison Ivy or something?! Jeez!" he said, throwing his head back and breathing heavily.

"Yes." The doctor placed thin bandages over the wound, before sticking thicker ones over those. The blood didn't come through, so there weren't any problems. Sylvester thanked the doctor and noted to Chase: "I'll be checking on that in about a week." He walked to Migoto and waved in front of her. "Earth to Miss Migoto Murasaki? Migoto, this is Houston, do you copy?" He was fully aware that she couldn't hear him. Thankfully, Sylvester had remembered that she was a master lip reader.

"Do we have a problem, Huston?" Migoto replied, taking out the headphones and handing the conductor back to Sylvester. "H-How is he?" she asked, still looking very nervous, "Is he okay?" She really wanted to run in there, but she didn't want to if she wasn't allowed.

I wouldn't advise he do anything that would overly exert himself so much." Sylvester frowned, leaving and coming back with crutches. "He'll need these."

Chase rubbed his forehead exhaustedly. He had just survived a surgery thousands had died from before anaesthesia was put into use. This wasn't news. He often survived impossible things against impossible odds.

Migoto tilted her head. "Why? He got shot in the arm?" she asked. Oh well. She didn't have time to think about that. She had to hug Chase. After thanking the doctor, she ran in and hugged Chase, careful not to touch his injury. "Oh Chase!! I'm so glad it's over... I had to play with Wendy to get my mind off you being in pain..."

Mercer disembarked from his train with his sleek black briefcase in hand. He scanned the crowd as he walked. He had heard numerous rumors of large amounts of corruption in this city. Good enough place to move after fleeing Illinois. He was going to have a lot of business here.

But first things were first; he needed a place to stay, somewhere that wasn't too picky about it's clientele. He strode off into the slums, searching for a cheap motel.

A few Sherwood Hoods stood by a delapidated apartment building, smoking and talking about the gang. "Man, lemme tell you; my whole life is so much better 'cuz of the Hoods," the first one began. He was a new recruit speaking to his recruiter. "Yeah, it's amazing! You do the right thing, and you get to steal shit! Awesome..." he muttered, flicking the cigarette. "We do need some more members though," he added, looking about.
