It's been said before, but Justice is too obvious a name for him, IMO. At least Wright had phoenics on his side. I understand the need for pun potential, but there were some more subtle options they probably could have (and should have) gone with.
That said, I'm sure this name will grow on me. And YAY for a localized version! :D

Not 'quite', I still call Franziska 'Mei' as the full name was just way too hard to spell. And I'll be saying Tommy's name over Moe as it latched on too tight.
But, some things are adaptable... But others are hard pressed. Have you tried to talk about the Wii in public and not got embarrassed even if you yourself have come to terms with it?

I more interested in the fact that we're one step closer to the "official" announcement for Gyakuten Saiban 4's North American release. I never really doubted that it's coming, but it will be nice to have it officially confirmed. E3 is so close...

I figure 3 games down the line when he's kick ass, we'll appreciate the name more. He's a bit of a rookie now, but when he becomes unstoppably god-like in AA6 or whatever, it'll be rather fitting XD;
Look at it this way: this'll give him something to live up to ^^;
As for the cheese factor... well, I still personally think Phoenix Wright is pretty cheesy... Sure, "Wright" had phonetics on its side, but there isn't much you can do with "Justice" phonetically without going all screwy and unreadable. "Lawson" would've been a good name, but in Japan, there's a huge (bigger than 7/11) chain of convenience stores called "Lawson". So I'm guessing they didn't want to create a potential problem if they should ever release "Boy Lawson: Ace Attorney" in Japan like they did with Phoenix Wright? Maybe??

On the one hand, I do want to just cringe at the cheese factor. On the other... the entire series has a fairly hefty cheese factor already. And on yet another, this bodes well for the US release of the game. Not to give anybody false hopes though, the announcement was from France, so maybe there's still a chance he'll have a different name in the US release?
In the meantime, we might as well make the best of it and make all the bad jokes now =p I suspect when the game actually comes out, I'll just adapt a variation on what I did way back when I was still big on DBZ, right around the time they replaced the entire voice crew. Hear/see one thing, and automatically parse it as something else in my head.
