I'm disappointed because I came up with a bunch of jokes at work today that I was going to post when I got back but when the article itself is a joke it seems kind of pointless...

Considering that 4 Leaf Studios is essentially 4chan who made this in their spare time, I don't think it will hit them at all. People already assume 4chan to be entirely made up of taboo and borderline illegal material scared between insensitive scum, so this won't really make much of a difference.
At worst, it will dampen their attempt to make 4chan seem more respectable and branch away from their stereotype, but their initial impression to ignorant outsiders couldn't really get much worse.
Besides, I heard somewhere that 4 Leaf Studios doesn't plan to make any more games.

I started on Emi's path, stopped at the start of Act 3 to start over and do Lilly's path. After I finished, I continued Emi's path.
I liked Lilly's path a lot. I liked her character, and the story between her and Hisao was very sweet and dramatic and suspenseful too. Emi's was contrastingly different because of her character and backstory, but also nice. Although I imagine every girl's path would be very different, the surrounding events would make them have some things in common. So after finishing Lilly's path, I really wanted to try Hanako's path, to see how some events would have gone if Hisao had taken more interest in her. I wasn't interested in following Rin's path at all - she struck me as weird and boring. But seeing how a lot of people here say her path is really good, I guess I'll give it a shot.

Then I played Rin's path. It was so dark and angsty it made Hanako's path look... neutral. And I quite liked it. Not at the beginning though. The story dragged until Act 3. After that is when the really angsty stuff starts.
Anway, I guess I'll play Shizune's path next. I wonder how that will turn out.

So far, my favorite one is Hanako's (and not just because we happen to share the same birthday :p). You really have the impression you're not making any progression, but when you look back at her path, you realise just how much you've accomplished. The writing is definitely the best one so far, even though I found the ending somewhat underwhelming and satisfying at the same time (yeah, pretty weird huh).
And I felt the h-scenes really unecessary for this one, for some reason.
Oh, and how I laughed during the first h-scene with Emi, ha ha

Not too fond of Shizune's path so far (real lengthy), but I think it's more because I'm not too fond of her character (so far).
And also because I'd really prefer the story to be focused around Misha :p

Urgh Shizune's path was definitely the worst of the entire cast. To me she was such an unlikable character, and her relationship with Hisao just seemed really silly.
Lilly is definitely best route.

You really should try the other paths. I also did Emi's first (I believe that's how the game was designed, and the fact that it's the first one in the 'list' in the Extras section is proof it's the most common path people take first during a 'blind' playthrough, without reading a walkthrough of course), and even one I really prefer it over Shizune's for example, the other paths are equally as good, if not better (like Hanako's, but maybe that's because I really like her).

Probably my biggest problem with her whole route.
In Act 1, everything was pretty nicely set-up. The whole festival ending with the fireworks and Shizune stopping Hisao moping about made me think that "Wow, her full route's going to be great if it's anything like this!"
Then we had Act 2.

Maybe her route's meant to be open to some facets of interpretation. Maybe it's not meant to be a route about Hisao and Shizune being all lovey-dovey, holding hands and prancing through daisy fields, but a look at the effect Shizune's personality has on the people close to her. That's fine... rather, it would be if all this interpretation/inference routine was balanced out by a bit more romance.

Thankfully, Emi and Lilly's route managed to apply liberal amounts of romance (with a good, sensible balance of drama and conflict) to make up for it. Hanako's route was fine, but Lilly kept showing up and distracting me. I have yet to play Rin's route; I'm probably not ready for it.

Currently in Act 3 of Lilly's path, and needless to say, I'm enjoying this one a great deal, even more than I did with Hanako's.
I really like her, she's definitely my favorite character in the whole game.

Rin's path isn't really about hooking up with her so much as learning to accept yourself and others for being different (that's kind of an underlying message in the game in general but it's taken to an extreme with Rin.) At least, that's the impression I got. Art has different meanings for different people.
I'm a little suprised at how many people in the fandom seemed to hate the smoking scene. I'm not a fan of cigarettes myself but I wasn't really as bothered by it as a lot of people seem to be.
Aaaanyway, yeah, Rin's not good for a romance story. If you want romance/happy, go with Lilly or Emi. If you want angst, Rin or Hanako. And if you like Misha and, uh, getting trolled by Shizune's father, go with Shizune...?

I was aiming for Hanako's path from the beginning (ended up with Emi first) but when I got to it, I have to admit I was a little disappointed. I can't exactly put my finger on it but I felt I didn't really know anything more about Hanako at the end of the path than at the start...although the ending was very sweet <3
I loved Emi's path and I'm not understanding how so many people can say that Rin's path was boring. She's a difficult character but that made the path so much more rewarding when you got it right- for me, it was the one that involved me the most (perhaps with the exception of Emi) and almost broke my heart in so many places ^^
I really disliked Shizune in the other paths but I found her quite endearing in her own, although I would've liked far less Misha in the storyline. Her relationship with Hisao wasn't really very well-done, it seemed to be a bit "yeah I'll be your girlfriend and we can have random sex in inappropriate locations but no conversations about how we feel or what we
like".

I pretty much did the same thing, and felt the same way. Though maybe that was due to going straight to Hanako's path, rushing myself. Only have Rin left, and I'm on act 3.
