After not being able to do it last year, CR's Original Character contest is coming back! Like we've done in the past, we're looking for nine judges to make up the panel that will cull the entries into a top 15 for the three categories of Fanart, Fanfiction, and Sprites. As a judge you will be expected to accept the entries as they come in and ultimately designate a number score for each one based on execution, continuity, and creativity.

If you're interested in being a contest judge, please say so here, and indicate if you have a preferred category you would like to judge. Remember, if you sign up as a judge, you cannot submit an entry to the contest, even if it's in a different category (as we may ask judges to cross categories in the case of a tie). Actual judging won't take place until May and June, so please only volunteer if you know you'll have time during those months.

The official contest announcement with updated rules will go up early next week, or maybe sooner, so if you're thinking of entering, now's the time to get those creative juices flowing! :minuki:

You need to be willing to look through a ton of entires, of polarizing degrees of quality. Experience creating said items is a plus, but not even remotely a requirement.

I'd like to offer myself up as a sprite judge, I've got plenty o' experience with sprites, and no friends so I have all the time in the world to look through entries :P

Can my OC be an attorney that escaped from Raccoon city as a half zombie with his arm falling off and a hole in his face that shows part of his skull and bones on the arm? (That's me Spario the Endernerd) I was asking manly for the half face part? It's not toooooo violent or graphic, the style is cartoon ish. Also another thing does all fanfics have to be written or can a fanfic be a comic about your character with words and stuff (like manga)?

I would love to be a judge for this. My experience with film making for five years will help me determine what I think didn't have enough effort and my extensive Ace Attorney knowledge will help me determine whether or not I think this character would fit in the universe. I can make time for this, trust me.

I would prefer to be in the sprite section but I'd be willing to take another role. Thanks!

If nobody would mind, I'd love to be a judge. Under the fanfiction category, preferebly. I've been working in the newspaper for 4 years now and I've been a writer ever since I was a kid. My experience will surely help me in deciding was are the good ones from the entries. :minuki:
