Yeah, hotels are fun! I love the beds personally just curling up without setting it up is great!

I don't go to them often though and the ones in my area are too ritzy.

Hotels are kinda fun, atleast when you have friends or whatever to mess around with.

I always had to go up to them whenever my family went to Deadwood (it's a gambeling town to the northwest of where I live; see also: the HBO TV series), and I got stuck in a hotel with my cousin until about 2 AM. We would find various shit to keep us occupied (we played Spys-and-Go [spys + hide go seek = win] seek with the elevators, bathrooms, and conienental breakfast room, that was the fuckin' bees knees, until we had to stop because the lobby woman got angry at us).

Ahh my childhood~

I, too, love Hotels...and Motels. Yes, even if the rooms are cheap (like 60-70 dollars a night), I still like to stay at a Hotel or Motel. Frankly, it's because I love to travel a lot, and I always like to visit new places.

I like staying at hotels. In fact, I'm hoping that my parents will take me on that trip they've been planning for the past seven months. Then I'll be able to stay at one again.

There are some really crappy hotels, but most of the ones I've been to are pretty nice. Especially when they have an ice machine. That's one of the biggest things I miss about Odyssey of the Mind. The whole group would stay in some cheap hotel, and we'd sit around playing monopoly all night.

I've never actually stayed at a hotel or motel before. I went to Las Vegas before, but stayed at a relative's house. I don't see any reason to stay at a hotel any time soon. I just commute when I go to conventions too.

It varies by hotel, though my stays at some have been alright. Nothing great, nothing bad. I just wish more of them had those emulator things that let you play old video games for a small fee.

Ritzy hotels are great. Usually anything less is fine too, but I've had terrible experiences in the past.

I do so love the fact that you get little chocolates on your pillow at the fancy places. It's always a nice little surprise.

TRUTH FTW!

Actually, that's my 2nd favorite thing to do in Hotels. My first favorite thing is to completely mess up the beds and the rest of the room and leave without cleaning it up. That way, the maids/butler's got a lot of work ahead of them. Also I like to take those little soaps and towels they leave in the bathroom and never actually use them. I'm a Jerk, Aren't I?

I have had few experienes at hotels and each one has had something bad happen. The last time I was in a hotel where I could have died if I have smashed my head any harder on the floor, tubside and toilet. Stupid Unmatted Shower! Zenitora

I love taking home those little soap bars/matches/shampoo bottles/mints/etc things that they keep in the room with the hotel logo printed on it. They're good little memories of your trip. xD I also stayed at a place where the guy who cleans the room left towels he folded into the shape of animals on your bed. They were adorable!!! ^^

I don't much like hotel beds though, because my older cousin told me stories about what they're all really used for. Payne

I once stayed in a hotel where I would leave little notes to the maid and she would leave little notes in response. It was kind of cute.

Hotels are indeed fun. Especially when you have a whole room to yourself Von Karma Sadly, the only hotels I ever get to go to are ones I've been in before, mainly in Kansas because that seems to be the only place we ever go to. I never really interact with maids either, except for one Hispanic Maid who didn't really speak English....

Maid: I clean room?

Me: No, but if you come back later we'll be gone

Maid:....

Me:....

Maid: I clean room?

Me: Not right now, but come back in a bit and you can

Maid: Need towels?

Me: Nah, we're good.

Maid:...towels?

I always do a front flip onto the hotel beds. There was a memorable moment when I did this, I kicked my cousin in the head while flipping. She was mad.

I always steal the little shampoos and shower gels. And the shower caps. And the complimentary mints. And the sewing kits. And the free tea and coffee. And the kettle. And the hangers. And the biscuts. And once I stole a pillow. Yes, I have a criminal mind. A funny moment was when me and my aunt were walking by a maids trolley (she was in a room) we grabbed a loada shampoos and ran.

I was once at this really fancy hotel in Meath, for a wedding. Me and two cousins (one of which is the one I kicked in the head) got a room that had a king bed and sofa bed, a big ass tv, a radio, a jacuzzi bath, a full bar and an ironing board. It was a huge room, bigger than my parents room and my cousins parents room combined (they didn't get an equipped bar, we did. Mmm alcohol)

The only time I've ever interacted with a maid was during my stay at Disney World. I was buying a hell of a lot of stuffed animals, and kept dumping them on the unused second bed since I didn't know where else to put 'em.

During my week there, every time I'd come back to my room, the stuffed animals had all been arranged into rather creative scenarios and positions on the bed. It was just so damn awesome, I had to leave her notes complimenting her, to which she'd reply by having an even cooler set-up the next day. My favorite had to have been what looked like this Roccoco-esque picnic. Should've taken a picture, it was amazing.

I had a maid do that too during my stay a few summers ago. Edgy The best was when she put my friend's pillow (shaped like a giant cat head) on top of another pillow and all the others around it. They looked like they were worshiping it. XD She also folded the towels up into cute things, like bunnies or little people.

My maid in Disney did that too. The best one? I left the TV on accidentally, and she took the animals and arranged them all at the end of the bed, with the smallest one's paw on the remote, and didn't turn off the TV. We came back with a tiny little black dog controlling the remote and everyone else 'engrossed' in Dragon Tales.

Man, I wish the maids at the Disney World hotel I stayed at did stuff like that. There should be a gallery someplace of such set-ups, as they sound quite nice.

Did you guys mean the Disney World in Florida? It could be possible that it was the same maid that did all three. Or maybe it's some kind of company policy or something.

It's definitely not a company policy, as it's never happened since, and I'm not sure how many people here had stayed at a Grand Floridian, so it's probably not the same maid..

Still, it probably is just somethign that pops into your head when you see a huge ammount fo stuffed animals.

Maybe they just have like a suggested list of things they could do, instead of it being a policy.

I was at the Contemporary, so maybe it's just a Disney World thing? Policy or no, it's still pretty cool to come back to your room and see them all arranged somehow. Feels sorta like they're having their own vacation too. Larry
