Anyway, I believe RSG knows the players wants the Japanese (maybe even more than the English dub), so I'm pretty confident the dual dub will be kept in the European version.

999 had one of the best localisations I've ever seen (bar 1 or 2 niggles)...

Then again, translating all that text into 4 other languages would have been :
1) really expensive for RSG
2) would have delayed the game in Europe

This.
While I do enjoy a (good) German translation from time to time, and trust me there some which are extremely well made, I prefer having the game earlier. And only for big games you can expect a simultaneous world wide release with all kinds of different languages available.

And there's another thing that I can't really talk about that might net it an 18+. But it really depends how deeply they look into it.

I'm not particular fond of that track (or the rest of the 999 soundtrack, even though it felt great ingame), but I do remember it quite clearly.
Think I *might* replay 999 again, but I'll probably wait for that :p

lame trailer is lame
the opening text is bleh. For "Memento Mori / If the nineth lion / ate the sun", in the Japanese version it makes sense to translate it so that the players can understand it, but to translate "memento mori" but leave the rest untouched makes me feel bleh. Plus, they cut out a ton. No word salad?! D:

I like most voices. However I think they should have switched Luna's and Clover's voice actresses. Luna sounds like Rise (it's her VA after all) and I think that would fit Clover much better.

Phi is decent.
Tenmyouji doesn't fit at all.
Quark is pretty good.
Alice is spot on.
K... not too sure on this one yet. He's definitely no Daisuke Ono, and it seems kind of weird. But I could get used to it. It doesn't really sound like what K is supposed to sound like though, other than having the minor voice alteration.
Dio is spot on.
As for Clover and Luna, they're both pretty spot on. I don't think switching their voice actors would have been a good idea. Laura Bailey fits Luna far more than Wendee Lee does.
And Zero-III. Ugh. It's not bad, but I knew they would choose a more nasally voice for him.
Overall it's pretty good, with some rough spots (Notably Tenmyouji and K). But then again, this was only one line of dialogue from every character. So it's not like I can judge the entire dub off of it.

Phi - There's something I just don't like about it... but the more I listen to it, the more I think it's spot-on
Tenmyouji - He sounds a bit too gruff imo. I mean, he IS gruff, but this voice sounds like it's from a bigger guy than Tenmyouji is
Quark - Sounds a bit too deep to me
Alice - I think the voice itself is fine, but Alice is a bit more... feisty xP
K - It sounds... OK to me, but I'd really like to hear another line or two. (It also reminds me a lot of Kalas from Baten Kaitos, for whatever reason...)
Dio - Spot-on. (A bit different from the Japanese voice, but still fits him perfectly)
Clover - Whoaaaaaaaaaaaa. Waaaaay too deep
Luna - Spot-on
Zero III - Sounds too much like a girl

EDIT2: There's a chance I may have already posted this, but
The characters' lips don't just move randomly, or on some random loop like in AA; they actually move according to the words they say, and in-sync with the audio. So I wonder in the English version... will they change the characters' lip movement or keep the original ones? And if they don't change them, will they try to dub it to keep with the lips, or just disregard it? Hmm...
