Ah, I see. Well.... I guess it's her desire to be with Yuusaku then. :P

Maybe I'm thinking too hard on what the pun of Desiree is...

Desiree=Desire.

She is TOTALLY in love with Yuusaku. The puns obvious. And you're forgetting not all names HAVE to have a pun.

I don't really like Desiree.... it just.... seems a little......... eh, I dunno.

Well, Jean Armstrong isn't much of a pun either, and neither are Manfred von Karma and the likes - more of a reference.

I SEVERELY doubt they'll give ol' Zenny a French name. It makes sense with Jean Armstrong, and sort of makes sense with Mask*deMasque (Kamen Mask's pun is that it's Mask Mask, in two different languages. The french "Masque" is probably the easiest to recognize as being "Mask" to native English speakers, so that's why they used it instead of like, "Mascara" or "Kamen" of course)

And they may just be going on a French theme then in general for YuuMare. Who knows.

I never said they did/will give Zeni a French name, I was just hoping they wouldn't.

I would never imagine Mareka having a French name...

Yes,probably the french theme will be just for Yuusaku and Mareka.I think Kamen Mask didn't become Mask deMasque just because it was easier to recognize, but because Kamen Mask looks french.(his music,style..)

Ms.DeLite?WTF?

Ms?! That's short for miss, shouldn't that be Mrs if she's married to Yuusaku?

Well, like I said, there was reason for the French in Hondobou, and decent reason for the French with Kamen Mask / Yuusaku/Mareka.

Luke Atmey certainly ain't a French name :P nor is Kudo.

Get the Hi-Def trailer. When it's going through all the scenes, pause it at points.

Some of them are harder to read than others. You can clearly make out Desiree's name in the text box, Hondobou is introducing himself as Jean Armstrong, you can EASILY see "Kudo" for Igarashi. Just before the Desiree shot moves offscreen, Phoenix refers to her as "Ms. DeLite"

:beef: That was so clever!

I don't think it was a pun. Jean is supposed to be a male's name in French, and Armstrong may reffer to his muscles.

I've been over "Jean Armstrong" before. (Besides, if it's really French, it's pronounced closer to 'John')

It's not a pun (the Armstrong may be a pun on his beefy bare arms, but the Jean sure isn't). It's a joke, but not a pun.

He's very effeminate. Very French. Jean is a masculine name in french, but is also a feminine name in English. Thus evoking his effeminate nature.

...and that's it. Not all of these have to be puns, people.

But these days, people can make puns out of almost anything... whether it's intented to be or not. :/

Edit: Well I guess DeLite is supposed to be 'delight', as in.. delighted in something. But I could be wrong....

Maybe it's the way I'm saying Desiree....

Doesn't Mareka have expensive taste? I suppose Desiree=Desire could be for that, or her love for Yuusaku. But delight? Happy to be married?

I get the feeling they are trying too hard. *dreads hearing Yuusaku's name*

I pronounce Desirée "Deh-Sih-reeh", because my former colleague's name was Desirée. Still, it's easy to think of the word "desire" when reading it.

Desirée DeLite obviously comes from "Desired Delight" Which sounds like a name a pornostar would have I suspect that Yuusaku will use the same naming trend, that means a name that comes from "-insert verb here- Delight"

It'd be funny if all the characters of case 3-2 have names that sounds like words, because two of the characters revealed so far have such names.

"Deh-Sih-reeh" reminds me of the word desert. No offense or anything. :P

I guess it's just the spelling for Mareka's........ not-so-pun'ish.... name...
