Am I the only one laughing at this?

I've seen worse. There was once a crazy woman who cut in line and yelled for a 4 piece chicken nugget box...The people in the back said they don't have anymore so she screams some more to the point where it becomes unbearable. One of the employees gives her a box with 10 pieces of chicken nuggets but she rejects them because she wants a 4 piece box.

Nope. :maya: That actually happened? I've always found it hard to believe that people could be like that. But if you saw it... wow.

To be honest, I actually feel sorry for her and the woman who called 911 - all they wanted was some food...

A cup of instant noodles, a jar of nutella, and a nice tall glass of strawberry lemonade and the woman would've been fine. :maggey-sad: Personally I dislike McDonald's.

Reminds me of a few days ago at my job at the cinema...
Post 5 PM, I was helping out at the snack bar and I sell a half litter bottle of Cola to this couple (35-45ish years old?) and went all fine and dandy, they paid the 25 cents we charge extra for deposit - which they get back when they return the empty bottle.

The man paid, then the woman started bitching about the deposit and moaning about how she'd have to stand in line to bring the bottle back later on and get the deposit back. I told her, "No need for that. You can simply run right up to me or one of my colleagues when the bottle is empty and hand it back for the desposit." She kept bitching and then started complaining that I gave her a half litter bottle when she had asked for a 'small Cola'.

Up front, when I started working there, I was told that we mostly hand out half litter bottles of softdrinks simply because that is the fastest way to serve. If you've ever worked at a cinema - or just went in for a popular show - you know how long the lines at the snack bar can be. So, instead of taking a 0.3 cup and standing at the dispenser, waiting for it to fill up and not have too much foam, it's much faster to just give them a half litter bottle and be done with.

So we went back and forth and then she started to complain even more, telling me that she won't take the bottle now. She demanded I take the bottle back and return the money, seeing as she hadn't opened it yet. I didn't want to do that cause A) that was an incredibly stupid reason to take the drink back and B) I would've had to reverse the sale on the cash register for far longer than the time this whole 'problem' should've took and other people were waiting to be served.

Eventually, I wondered if I should just hand them back the fucking money. But then I thought the better of it and said, "I'll give you a cup and you can fill the liquid into that and just hand me the bottle right back and get the deposit!" but then she complained that I wanted to give her a 0.5 cup and she kept insisting she wanted a 'small Cola'. Finally, I just gave her two 0.3 cups and said, "Here, these should be enough to empty the bottle. Go ahead, take it, shove it into your face. Enjoy." Okay, I didn't quite say it like that, but after shoving a cup top at her as well, she finally left with her hopefully-mortified husband.

I am all for knowing what you want, but shouldn't you have at least a certain amount of flexibility regarding things? I mean, would it have mattered if I had given her a 0.3 cup or 0.5 cup to put the cola into? It was the same amount of cola in the fucking bottle!
And I know my mother and I make jokes where we 'pull the (metamophorical) lever' on people when we go and they are all out of chocolate or strawberry shakes. But we don't actually start fights with them, we just pick something else or wait patiently, if it's a case of "It will require a minute or two to prepare your food/beverage".

What a rant...
I have yet to call 110 (Police) or 112 (Ambulance/Fire Department) for stupid reasons.
Only time I have called 112 was the time I burnt the kitchen down (and I only called them because I told my mother about the fire, who was out, and she said I should get them in to make sure although I had already killed the fire) or when my mom felt like she fainting and it turned out to be a lung embolism.

*giggles* Personally I would've been greatful if I had a drink in the first place, you can't watch a movie in a theater without a soft drink. ^^; But last time I got snacks with my family to see The Dark Knight, the line went quickly. (Either the movie theater is too fancy and big, or everyone was in a rush.) Sometimes I have to be the adult for my parents and my Fillipino relatives who tend to bring their anger out on the people working on preparing food and snacks. :sad-maya:
It blows being the mature one but nobody will listen to you...I wish people would be more grateful and stop acting like idiotic jerks.

Edit: Oh wait! I think the only difference between CatMuto's experience and what I saw on tv was...The woman who wanted the 4 piece chicken nugget box got all violent. Tossing objects at the employees. And eventually the police came to arrest the mad turkey of a woman.

What happened to CatMuto didn't invovle physical harm. (I hope.)

Nah, no physical harm done - I may inherit my short fuse from my mom (she seems calm but in reality she seems to have a short fuse) but I try hard to suppress. Causes tons of mental insanities and stuff, but as long as my record stays clean~
