America is pretty boring...Just don't move to New Jersey you might get angry more often by the amount of stuck up jerks. My grandparents wish I never left New Jersey for California but to me it was a blessing.

Is it that boring? I mean, I've been to Miami twice and it's way better than São Paulo...
If I had to move away from home to pursue a career or something, I'd definitely move to America.

Nah, if I go to America, it'll be California.
I have family in Sacramento and Vallejo - and my husband lives 30 minutes away from Vallejo - and it seems a nice place. The various fast foods I went to like In-And-Out and their McD tasted pretty strange and kind of terrible to me. But they have very nice onion rings, like in Wendy's. Plus, an arcade close by.

Ahahahaha!
I think reason why America is so full of fat people is because the food has more calories in it, the places I've been to are so set that the houses are here and the shops and work places are several miles away, so that you are required to have a car. So using a bicycle isn't an option, for the same reason.

In-N-Out used to make me hungrier when I lived in California. v_v

And the Wii Fit actually made me sweat...But now I'm starting to wonder if I really am at risk for being overweight.

I recommend exercise DVDs. ;P The ones that let you walk a mile at home.

If I really am at risk for being overweight I need to go to an Asian country where everyone is dolled up or France where all the food is natural. Assuming I don't get destroyed by snobby French society.

Everybody says French Cuisine is very heavy. Plus, they drink wine with a ton of their food - that's not really bad, but it could eventually do things to your liver. Or you could go the smoking way of losing weight, but that's also dumb.

I'm a proud American and I live in the butt monkey of the country, New Jersey. Despite that, I wouldn't wanna move to any other country.

It ain't bad in NJ, but it ain't the best. I'd actually like to move maybe to Pennsylvania (although I'll miss being really close to NYC).

On the topic of losing weight, I'm recommend going around your neighborhood or finding a big park in your area to do some jogging. Also doing stuff like push-ups, sit-ups, or lifting weights can help if you wanna build muscle. My Wii Fit is currently somewhere collecting dust, but I guess that could help too. I remember getting a good work out from that.

Not to brag, but right now, I'm looking fit as a fiddle, and I hope it stays that way (that is, if my tendency to over-eat doesn't catch up to me).

I am getting better at working out but my thighs are still large, but my belly has shown SOME improvement.

I'm a big eater as well. :(

I love eating good food...Is that such a crime?

Course not!
Eating is sensual, it's enjoyable and properly spiced food is really a nice treat at times. Once you start obsessing over the weight of your food, then the eating becomes something that is not enjoyable. It's a necessary thing to do to survive, but it can still be fun.

Eh, my thighs are pretty wide, too.
Wish I could get myself to stick to an exercise regiment. We have a treadmill-bike, but it's mostly something we hang clothes onto...

I used to go on diets while exercising, but now I just try not to exaggerate on the junk food, and if I do, I just say "fuck it" and add extra time on the treadmill.

Also, during vacations, I change the treadmill for the nearby park. It's hard and tiresome, but the feeling of accomplishment after I'm done makes my day.

Oooo! Four miles! Inside or outside? Regardless, that's a good workout! For typical track & field practices, I run about 3-4 miles from Monday to Friday!

And pasta sounds excellent after a workout!

Me too Gnobo! Though I go for time, so I run 3 miles in about... 20 minutes?

Pasta is good because of all the carbos and stuff but don't overdo it, being hungry after workouts is merely fat "melting" away

Just remember: Just because it's healthy, doesn't mean you're able to eat a ton of it without repercussions.

Oi! Life sucks sometimes. v_v I'm starting to think I'll never have a tiny sexy body again like when I was 14. (But maybe that was not the best thing in the world because boys would stare and some would touch.)

And to answer a question from earlier, I did four miles indoors with an exercise DVD.

Well don't say that. Just don't set some time aside and do some push-ups/sit-ups and that'll help tone your body. Don't overeat, and try to stay away from the junk. Just be diligent about it and you should be fine.

<< Coming from someone who doesn't do the above.
I've still got a pretty fast metabolism, but I really need to be more diligent about my exercise. Work helps build up my arm muscles, but I'm still flabby in most places. Somehow, this thread turned into a fitness thread.

Well, I hate my body, especially my thighs. xD I suppose it's my fault though, I don't do much exercising. :/

Does walking count?

Anyway, I come from England and I live in one of the worst cities in the country. It has the highest unemployment rate in the country and everyone I've talked to is planning on leaving as soon as they can. It also has a really ugly accent, one that I've fortunately been able to avoid by trying to copy my mum's Australian accent.

As a result, I've somehow ended up with this really posh accent...

If you manage to go through more or less two weeks of diligent squat training, you get used to it and your knee muscles get stronger, mom's words.

Yeah, every workout is hard at first, you just have to get use to it.

It's a landlocked country in Europe. I always remembered it as being one of the four "CASH" countries (Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary) near the middle.
