Oh X-play. You were much fun to watch when I was in middle school. You'll be missed old friend, and what a shitty thing they did to Adam Sessler. He was the best part of the show and they just decided to fire his ass for no reason.

I actually kind of liked their reviews...Except that Metroid Other M review.
And regardless of their bad review I kind of wanted to try the Onechanbara series. But I will admit that the series seems to lack substance.

G4 as a whole was a shitty network and they just decided to end all of their video game related shows, so that they can provide the public with more educational programs such as Cops or Cheaters. G4 fired Adam on X-Play, and Kevin left Attack of the Show. It was just time for G4 to die.

I enjoyed Sonic Advance 3 as well...But I could never get the second chaos emerald because I think I was missing a chao.
However Sonic Advance 2 defeated me and I could never get chao garden for some odd reason.

Advance 2 I didn't care for as much. A lot more cheap deaths and frustrating level design in that one, I recall. The special stages were kind of a pain too.

That said, yes, the franchise has gone downhill a LOT over the years, and I am pretty sure it is tied directly to how Sega itself went downhill. The company used to make SO many good franchises. But it seemed to me like after the Dreamcast died a sad death and the company went third-party, a lot of the passion in Sega's games disappeared as well. Sonic just happened to be the franchise that suffered the most (Sonic 06...)
Nowadays though I think Sega is hitting its stride as a third party. Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations were both fantastic games. Also, the Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing Transformed game is flatout the best kart racer since Mario Kart. (I definitely recommend the Wii U version.)

It's a pity Lost World wasn't all that great, I was hoping it would be Sonic Xtreme brought to life.
